I got rid of my car a few years ago since I live in the city, and this day just happened to be a terrible rainy weather day. They have a pick-up service and sent someone to pick her up in the terrible weather. The lady was super nice and explained to me what I could order and expect. That pick-up service was so nice considering the whole day and the fact that I was pretty useless at that point. About three weeks later, on a Saturday, I was able to pick up my little girl at the place which is located inside Bohemian National Cemetery. You can tell that Bob really cares about all the animals that come through his door. To the wonderful ceremony and especially to the part that I was especially fighting tears over: the little rubber ducky who would be Sophie's best friend in heaven. Sophie loved toys like no other dog. I have so many wonderful keepsakes of little Sophie. Thank you a million for taking such good care of my little girl.

There is much more to this, but this is the summary of my experience with "compassionate" care. Just an overall horrible experience and horrible business transaction. We got off to a good start with this company. Up unto dropping our dog off to go through the aquamation everything went well. Our requests were to get our blankets back (we made this very clear), which were going to go in our bed with my wife and I. We wanted her remains put into the same urn as her brother's remains which we also brought in. We wanted both names on the name plate for the urn. Our requests could not have been any clearer. We were guaranteed our requests would be met. Once they got our money everything went completely downhill. Numerous unanswered texts, phone calls, and voicemails to check status and make sure everything was ok. Something seemed off. It was supposed to take a week from what Bryan said. Took almost 3 weeks to get the remains back. During this time, I had asked about our blankets we wanted back. Bryan informed us these blankets could have been thrown away, donated, or something. He said his commercial laundering company could have them, and he would investigate it. No call back no update. He would not give out the name of this commercial laundry company to me, I would of gone there myself to look for these. Confronted him on that. Said they would bring them back the following week and he would call, which he never did. Again. In picking up our remains and rather upset about the blankets I look over and there is just one dogs name on the plate, remember I asked for both dog names on the plate. I called him out on this, and he tried to tell me both names are on the urn... on the bottom on a sticker tag which also had our address/information on it. He tried to pass this off as that's what I asked for. It is clearly not names on the plate, and he knows this, but still tried to pass it off anyways. This is also the same tag that's on the envelope they give you, with your address on it. My wife and I had to order our own plate. He kept dragging me along in the blanket situation as if he was trying to hide something and knew it. Also, we did not get our other urn back, so they are likely using our other dog's urn for their other customers. I didn't even think of this at the time as I was so heated about everything. The one thing that did happen we asked for was both bags of remains were in the same urn. Other than that, this whole process was as far as a business transaction went was a disaster. No accountability, no apology, crappy communication, most important requests to the customer not met, making excuses, no effort to make any bit of this right. He had said that he does donate and could have donated these blankets to Young At Heart, which is a senior dog adoption center in the area. In speaking with the lady who works there, they said they had never gotten any donations from Bryan or "Compassionate" Care, nor would they take blanket donations from a cremation center for a number of reasons. So, Bryan straight up lied about that all together. Who does that? Seriously. Absolutely pathetic to say the least. All of this was a great example of how not to treat customers. An even better example of how not to do business and how not to handle a big mess up on their behalf. We will not be returning to "compassionate" care, which is unfortunate because we did like the process of the aquamation. I have plenty more to say, but this is the gist of it. Bryan was absolutely horrible to deal with after the money was paid. This was supposed to be a big bittersweet closure to moving on from 2 dogs I had for 16 plus years, and these people stained that closure. They didn't follow through with anything to make it right. I would give a 0 if I could.

You are most likely getting concrete, etc or something else than your pet's remains. Avoid like the plague!!!

Upon realizing I could not afford this amount and after finding the same prescription available at a lower cost elsewhere, I requested a paper prescription. To my surprise, I was informed that he could not provide a paper prescription until he confirmed the medication's effectiveness, which meant I was compelled to purchase it from their pharmacy. After 45 days, I would need to return for another visit to assess the medication's efficacy before receiving a paper prescription to fill elsewhere. After I left, my wife called the office only to be told that I had been rude during my visit, which was not the case; I had been apologetic about my inability to purchase the medication from them. When my wife spoke to the vet, he claimed he would have provided a paper prescription had I not left immediately upon mentioning I could find it cheaper elsewhere. He then stated that if I returned, the prescription would be available at the front desk, which closes at 4:30 PM. My mother kindly offered to retrieve the prescription, believing it would be waiting for us. However, upon her arrival, Dr. Khorsand insisted that she purchase the $184 medication from them first, reiterating that he needed to confirm its effectiveness before issuing a paper prescription. He also made disparaging remarks about my wife during their conversation. The entire experience was utterly frustrating. Previously, we had purchased costly medication from their pharmacy, yet there were no records of our dog, Cole, when we returned. I have never encountered a veterinary office that withholds prescriptions from clients unless they have purchased them directly. The doctor seemed more interested in arguing and asserting that we were rude than in providing professional care. While I must commend the front office staff for their kindness, Dr. Khorsand's conduct was unprofessional and indicative of someone whose compensation may be tied to the volume of prescriptions sold. If you have the option to choose another veterinary office, I strongly recommend considering it. I do not frequently leave negative reviews, but this experience was one I would not wish upon anyone. We paid over $300 for a consultation with Dr. Khorsand, who did not even examine my dog, and for medication that I could have obtained at our preferred pharmacy for half the cost. I will never return to this office and feel sorry for any future animals who may be under Dr. Khorsand's care.

(He died as I parked in their ER driveway after a 5 min rush over to see if he could be saved...and 3 different females in scrubs tried to get me to authorize "resuscitation" and get me into a room to "register and fill out paperwork"... as if I could not see what that was... he's dead but let's try and bill for confirmation of no heartbeat. (thanks vet guy for giving me that info despite the vultures circling) Anywhoo I did a search and found this place close by, made an appointment and took Rocco over. It was a quick and kind service and the guy was informative. My choice was the middle-tier of a group but separated steel partition cremation for $180. I think size is a factor so prices probably vary by body weight. Went home and ordered a urn for him online but got his ashes back this week... before it came in, I just need to get a photo printed for it and maybe paint the statue to match. ... Love you my sweetie... always.

An hour or so after he left, I ran the water in the vanity sink and there was a noticeable leak. He said he would come back a few days later to take a look. He returned and tightened the connections. I again ran the water after he left, and again there was dripping under the drain so I asked him back again. He came back again and did some more tightening and said it should be ok now. I again ran the water after he left and there was still a drip. I then texted him saying that I would like a refund of $350 of the $1100 he charged because the pipes were still leaking and he had already claimed twice that the problem was fixed when it wasn't. He refused and then tried to gaslight me saying actually there was no leaking. So if you want a plumber who doesn't stand by his work, then this is the guy for you (My response to his comments): For the record, here is the text exchange between Brad and Me (and yes I did say "please consider giving me a refund because I don't want to give you bad reviews"--and that is a reasonable response on my part given that I received service that is below what the average person would expect [i.e. 3 visits by the plumber and the sink trap is still dripping]. (From Craig): Brad, The vanity is still leaking and I can't devote any more time to this project, therefore I am requesting a partial refund of the money you charged me. I think a $350 refund would be reasonable. Craig (From Brad): I disagree, the last 2 times I came over there wasn't even a leak. I have gone beyond being reasonable and in reality I should be paid for 2 service calls. (From Craig): Many would ask for a larger if not full refund under these circumstances. Obviously there was a very noticeable leak after the first visit and a much smaller but still noticeable leak after the next 2 visits. Please reconsider because I don't want to give you bad reviews

Philip is the most caring person I have ever met. When I originally called him to discuss pricing he could tell I was upset & was telling me to stay strong. He explained his type of cremation service & the different categories I could choose from. He texted me all the information, photos & an explanation video. He gave me all the information I would need which I loved & was comforted by. Day of... my husband & I had issues with the animal hospital & ended up needing a new recommendation... I felt like we wasted his time & I felt so sad but he was the most understanding person & was still willing to help us through it. Once we got everything figured out, he drove out to us again to pickup my dog. He explained exactly what he was going to do & advised that we could step away if needed. Once everything was taken care of he went over the pricing, answered any questions we had & spend time with us talking & made us laugh. We loved the fact that he took a horrible day & turned it around while he was in our home. When we went to pickup my dog he still took the time to talk to us, showed us the setup, showed us how the ashes look & made sure I was happy with the necklace I picked out. Louie-Louie was my sweet feline leukemia baby we adopted as a kitten he lived way past how long we thought we would have him, and even then we were not ready to lose him. I have cremated past pets before and I never felt closure. The facilities never allowed me to see any of the process. I called around trying to find somewhere to take Louie's body and I happened to come across Philip's facility. We drove 2+ hours to get to Philip. From the moment he called me on the phone and explained everything in detail and texted me brochures photos of the facility information on how water cremation worked I knew he was where we needed to go. He is where we will continue to go in the future. Philip and his wife handled everything with compassion and Philip went above and beyond to video call me since we lived so far away so that I could say one last goodbye and see the process started. He kept Louies favorite toy with him. We chose a couple extra options that came out so beautiful and really let us put our baby to rest. I highly recommend them! Lost our beloved dog and within hours of contacting Pet Cremation by Water over the phone, we were offered services in a timely manner especially late in the evening. Colleen was very helpful during our phone call and explained options for their services as well as explained their process of cremation which was more eco-friendly and appealing to us. She also sent over information about the process as well as their website which was very informational and easy to understand. Our dog's cremation came in a bamboo urn which was very nice and we opted for the claw paw print (highly recommend), hair clippings in a small tube as well as a keepsake cremation necklace. Very quick turn around for the remains (just a few days). I do not usually leave reviews but living and working in California and going through the process over the phone, it was very easy for me to configure everything necessary so that my mom and brother back home in Illinois did not have much trouble when it came to dropping off our dog. Phillip and his team got back to us within an hour of our guy passing. Literally everyone was empathetic and quick to respond to set up a time to drop off our beloved cat and see the cremation set up. Phillip thoroughly explained the cremation process and we were glad to know that in water cremation, not only is the environment protected, but we get more remains than we would have with the traditional method. And thankfully the cost is comparable. The showroom is well stocked with items to purchase and carry on a pet's energy through the ashes if desired. We bought 3 jewelry pieces. In addition, the bamboo urn is a nice looking remembrance. This is our 3rd pet to pass and the first time we used this service. Pet Cremation by Water was the easiest process with the most options for remembrance items. It was great to have the option to pick our own keepsakes. This place was incredibly helpful and heartfelt in aiding me through the process of losing my pet. The owners were comforting, quickly responsive when messaging, and overall amazing in helping me understand the process. Having this pet be my first to pass, I wasn't sure what to do. One of the hardest decisions in our lives was made a little easier because of this wonderful and compassionate place. From the first phone call and getting our questions answered,explaining us every step of this process. I couldn't wrap my head around that we just lost our pup, but the owner took her time to comfort me and and spoke with so much love that was incredible. Our Lola passed away in specialty vet clinic so her sweet body needed to be picked up and brought to Arlington Hights. We were informed when she was picked up and when she arrived. We suddenly lost our sweet boy Gunner. It happened at home with our young children there. Philip answered the phone immediately(Sunday), was incredibly sweet and sympathetic. Pet Cremation by Water is an amazing and caring company. When my frog died, the man who answered the phone was compassionate and assured me they would be able to cremate him, and that I could bring him whenever I was available. When I got Dumpling back, I was surprised that they were able to get his pawnprints, as he was so dmall. I am so happy with the wuality of care my baby recieved, and would reccomend Cremation by Water to anyone that asks. My 11 year old German Shepherd just passed. I loved this animal more than anything. The team at Cremation By Water were so caring, respectful, and diligent during the process. From dropping my pup off to picking up his remains, they were amazing. They were also able to get me everything I wanted in order to remember this great animal. Absolutely 100 % recommend Pet Cremation by Water. They were so caring and loving with our Doxie Penny. The whole process was explained to us, we were shown all that they offered...but nothing was pushed on us, which I really liked. My friend just lost her beloved Doxie, and I right away recommended this place to her. Our cat Marciulka passed away couple weeks ago at home. Philip helped us go thru this painful moment by having final goodbye at home and picking him up for cremation process. Philip and his wife were very professional and explained us the whole process of cremation by water. I did a lot of research, as well as speaking with both of our vets (North Shore Family Pet Hospital and Northshore Mobile Veterinary Services), and determined All Paws would most likely be who handled their final arrangements. They came highly recommended, having worked with both of our vets and helping several other neighbors. We're both really satisfied with that choice. When we had our cat humanely euthanize at the vet, after an aggressive mouth cancer was discovered, All Paws was contracted through the vet to take care of her remains. While bittersweet, we very much appreciate how well the cremains were presented, and in a timely fashion. Because they had done so well, we definitely trusted them when our dog's final days approached. Our dog passed away in our arms, ahead of her scheduled appointment, and All Paws opened early so we could deliver her ourselves. They were very helpful once we arrived, very professional, and also offered a lot of comfort and support as we grieved. When came back to pick her cremains up, we were - once again - very satisfied with at the job they did. All Paws did their jobs very well, and helped us out during very difficult times in our life. We're very appreciative of the work they did, and the kindness they provided. I would highly recommend them for other pet owners, when it comes time to prepare final arrangements, based on the service we received.

Forever Remembered has an informative website, and when I called to confirm their hours, the person answering (Chad) was kind and empathetic, just as he was, when I showed up a couple hours later with my precious parcel. He explained options and made arrangements. I was astonished at the quick turnaround time to pick up my girl's cremains-the next business day! Considering there is probably cool-down time involved, I was so surprised. He told me that they make an effort to provide a timely service and I really appreciate that, and it meant a lot to me, having waited over Christmas/ New Years Eve for my previous cat's return. The facility appears clean and organized and my cat's remains were returned in a personalized rosewood box which is beautiful; I ordered a paw print too, and it's very sweet. It was all presented in a respectful way, and the price point was absolutely fair for the service provided. I am grateful. I hope I don't need to see them again for a LONG time, but I am grateful they were there. While I miss my kitty oh so much, this does provide some comfort. If you're looking for the business, it's next to an auto mechanic and that signage is a great clue you're in the right spot.

I began calling around to different cremation services, and most either didn't answer or told me someone would call me back. From the very first phone call, Compassionate Care Animal Cremation was different. They answered right away, provided clear and incredibly reasonable pricing, and helped me schedule everything immediately. During one of the hardest moments of my life, they were kind, patient, and genuinely compassionate. I truly felt like they cared--not just about their job, but about Teddy and my family. We chose to bring Teddy to them ourselves, and when we arrived, the space was beautiful, peaceful, and very comforting. Kate, the owner, walked me through every step of the process with such care and transparency. It meant so much to me that she even showed me the private cremation area, ensuring me that Teddy would be cremated individually. That level of honesty gave me so much peace. They provided a beautiful complimentary cremation box (which I was honestly shocked was included at no extra cost), and I also chose to get a fur clipping, which was presented in a lovely keepsake container. Everything--from the packaging to the handmade details--was done with so much thought and respect. They even included a certificate honoring Teddy's life, which was such a meaningful touch. What truly amazed me was the turnaround time. I was able to bring Teddy home the very next day, without any additional fees. In such a painful time, they made everything feel seamless and handled with care, as if they were saying, "Don't worry, he's in good hands." Kate and her small, dedicated team have created something truly special. If you ever find yourself in the heartbreaking position of losing a beloved animal, I wholeheartedly recommend them. They treated Teddy--and us--with dignity, compassion, and love.
