Super cozy spot, I was greeted with nothing but warm and welcome by someone I perceived to possibly be the owner? She had glasses, super sweet. The food is great, good ingredients. The coffee is also great, however i have a few issues that make me unwilling to return. First off, the food takes forever to get out even if they're not swamped with orders. I usually order one burrito and it's at least 15-20 minutes every time. I got 2 burritos and a latte and it cost almost 50$. And that is outrageous pricing for breakfast. You're better off going somewhere else for a burrito. Also, strange hours. They do have a warning that they are not fast however, so maybe I'm barking up a tree. read more

I stopped by for lunch around 1pm. It was my first time so I asked for a recommendation and they said to try the Whistle Pig and I am glad I did. The restaurant want busy and my order came out in a fair time. The sandwich was fantastic. It was one of the best bagel sandwiches I've had. It was warm and the flavors worked great together. I just stopped at the Whistle Pig to get a bagel (they are fantastic). The open sign was on and the door was unlocked. I walked in and almost slipped on the water on the floor. When the staff noted that I almost fell, they informed me that they were closed. No problem - I did mention that if I had fallen, there would have been a law suit... the young man who was then turning off the open sign said (I don't remember exactly) that he will remember that and treat me accordingly the next time I come in. I said it won't be soon. This makes me really sad - I love your everything bagels with habanero cream cheese. I won't be back, however, because of the lack of decent customer service. I had been searching for a breakfast as good as i make at home. I stopped in to the whistling pig Last week and i was pleasantly surprised to find the plate i ordered was delicious. Ham steak and eggs simple and perfectly prepared. The service was friendly and efficient . The ambiance was warm and comfortable. Their patio tables provide and sunny and comfortable area to enjoy the morning in its full glory. I enjoyed my visit and plan ti return again soon. Ty whistling pig for meeting my expectations. The restaurant is cute and relatively clean. The most concerning thing is the cashier that took our order. She has pretty nails and has a very poor habit of grabbing the cups and sticking her index finger inside the cup to hold it while she writes. I saw her do it twice to my order and asked her not to stick her finger inside the cups. No apology, just a blank stare but she kept her finger out of the cups after that. Minutes later as I was picking up our drinks from the pick-up area, I saw her do the same thing again to another customer's cup at the order window. Management clearly needs to retrain this employee or put her in a position where she is not in contact with food and drinks. read more

I know Rifle is not a big tourist destination but is a great alternative to stay when you want to hit the slopes. This coffee spot has all the charm and appeal of what an ideal coffee shop should be. Warm and welcoming service. Good breakfast. Amazing coffee which has a lot of favor and punch in your face deliciousness. They know coffee and they know it well. I ordered a macadamia nut latte with oat milk. They do offer a variety of flavors and different milk options. My latte was amazing and will definitely come back when in the area! read more

The ambiance is really cool. I love all the different art pieces. I ordered a cappuccino with caramel flavor and an everything bagel with cream cheese. The coffee was really good and I'm not a big coffee drinker. It had great flavor, not too sweet and not too strong. But the bagel was AMAZING. Made from scratch, everything bagel. Horribly slow service!!! Just 2 of us, basic omelet and eggs and ham. 38 minutes. No one in the kitchen was in any hurry. The young lady taking orders had 1.5 inch finger nails, a definite sanitary issue. We had to go to the counter to get more coffee. When I Approached the counter to ask where our meals were young lady gave me quite the dirty look and said that there was multiple orders or tickets in the back but like I said, it was 38 minutes maybe longer just to get basic eggs unacceptable. Kitchen takes forever and front staff could not care less about customers. We came in for take out on a Sunday with maybe 3 other tables currently sat. Should have taken the cue when 2/3 other parties came up asking when their food would come. We waited 35 minutes for two sandwiches, at which point one came out wrong and the other didn't include the side we ordered. Because it was past closing by the time our food finished, the staff was now eating their own lunch. For some reason their food was ready right at noon but the customer orders took some time. When we went back in to get the order corrected, we were met with a lack of care or apology for the mistake, and instead were given something we didn't order as a "you're welcome". The front counter woman with glasses and the chef seemed upset we even came back and asked for it to be corrected. Tried calling the store to speak with the manager or owner and they ignored the phone. The food ended up being over cooked and burnt. Never come here if you want to be treated like a human. For someone who has worked in food service for years, you know when to be understanding, and when you are being treated poorly. I know how easy it is to give bare minimum service. read more

This place is absolutely fantastic! Great, small coffee-shop feel with a good drink-menu, but a wonderful, small breakfast menu (served until 11am). Very friendly staff, and a friendly clientele too. I had the "Timmy Breakfast sandwich" and it was amazing!! An in-house made everything-bagel with bacon, cheddar cheese, an egg, and I added avocado. The part that pulls it all together is the Habenero cream cheese...wonderful flavor and just enough spice to keep your tongue tingling. However, I would suggest eating it with a fork...especially if you like your eggs runny at all. read more

Cute little breakfast place. We stayed in Rifle instead of Glenwood due to the high hotel prices. This was a good decision, cheaper hotel, and great breakfast here at Whistle Pig. It was extremely affordable, my breakfast tacos were around $6. His huevos rancheros was $7.50. We also got a couple of coffees and the bill was $25 with tip. Can't beat that! We both enjoyed our breakfasts, the ladies working were friendly and brought our food out to us on the patio. If we decide to stay in Rifle again we will absolutely come back here. read more
