The bathroom wasn't clean (okay, it was dirty), but it wasn't so filthy that I felt violated after using it or needed to disinfect myself. I just kind of levitated above the toilet seat and made sure I washed my hands well prior to exiting lest the door handle have as many germs as the bathroom appeared to have. I gathered that management was frustrated with people not disposing of their trash properly because in the fountain drink area on the back of a machine where napkins and other additions were, there was a hand written sign that read, "Unless your mama or girlfriend is going to clean up your mess, keep it up. Signed, Management." I kind of chuckled to myself about it and wished that I had brought my phone in with me to take a picture. The store was not dirty like the bathroom, but not immaculate either. I guess it is true what they say, "Out of sight, out of mind." The man behind the counter was friendly and efficient.

He has also made me marvel at his math skills when he has added up my change in his head. That would be fine, or if anything kind of endearing, if not for the time that my housemate (who is older than I am) and I walked into the Exxon one night to buy beer. Upon entering, my housemate audibly remarked that he forgot his ID, and I told him that I could buy the beer. I got to the register a few minutes later, with my housemate a good distance back, and the person behind the register told me he could not sell me alcohol unless we both had our ID. Actually, it took him about 30 seconds to tell us this. In the meantime he just stood there, smirking at me. I told him that I was the only one paying (which actually IS the law in NC) and he shrugged and said he didn't feel like selling us alcohol tonight. I asked him why he didn't tell us this when we walked in and heard us talking, and he shrugged again. With two other gas stations on the same street, and the Harris Teeter a five-minute walk away, there is really no reason to patron this place. -JJ

Went at 6:45pm to drop of end of day first class mail in the drop box inside the store. When I put…read morethe mail through the slot, you could the see that there was no box / container inside the drop box and my mail went all over the floor inside. This is how mail gets lost and never delivered....I tried to reach my mail to pick it up to give to the person in the gas station to put in one of the pick up boxes behind the counter and couldn't reach it. I opened the door to the drop box (not secured, by the way) that is standing open to pick up my mail off the floor and a tall oafish looking guy with plastic ear stretchers and tattoos yells at me to not open the box and put it back and starts towards me. I had my mail in my hand and was standing up and tried to tell him that there was no box/ container inside and my mail was all in the floor. He didn't let me finish getting my sentence out when he yelled at me again to put it back. I started again to tell him what the problem was and he yelled at me to put it back again. So, I tossed it back on the floor inside the drop box. He walked over, picked up my mail, handed it to me and told me to take my mail and leave. I asked why and he said I threw the mail on the floor. I said that you yelled at me three times to put it back and I put it back where I had picked it up, on the floor with no box/ container inside the drop box. Then A kind of tall, mannish looking woman with dark hair said I had to leave and take my business elsewhere. So, I did. They don't do their job and put a box/container for the mail to be put in inside the drop off box and when my mail is all over the floor and I try to pick it up, they tell me to leave... This is the same guy that, when I went previously to mail six certified letters, told me not to come back with that many again that they would only mail one and that I would need to go to a "real post office" if I wanted to mail more than one. So, it seems, that these gas station workers don't wanna be bothered with doing any additional work in the contracted post office inside the gas station as it apparently "isn't a real post office". Wonder what Eagles gets paid to have the "not real post office" in their store. Maybe it should be removed and the not get paid...They always have an attitude like you're bothering them to do anything that has to do with the mail. Maybe the post office should pull their contract and they could just stand behind the counter and talk and not have to work.

An employee came out while I was fueling up my truck, and told me I can't put all my trash and…read morerecycling in the trash bin and recycling bin at my pump. I put two plastic grocery bags full of my car's garbage in the trash, then I put three small plastic water bottles in the recycling bin beside the trash bin. He said those are ONLY THERE for our RECEIPTS. He said he's the one who has to empty all these trash and recycling bins. The bins that are placed at each pump, for customers to use. He directed me to instead place my trash and recycling in their dumpsters instead. The trash bin at my pump was so full, I understand that me cramming my two small plastic grocery store bags of trash in it, making it full to its maximum capacity and leaving no room for other people to put their trash in it, was rude. Two bags was probably pushing it, I agree. My two bags consisting of packaging from products I'd purchased from other BP gas station convenience stores along my travels, is also quite rude of me. As each BP gas station will be at an entirely different convenience store. I thought it was kind of him to allow me to dispose of my trash in his dumpsters instead, and so I removed my trash from the trash bin at my pump, and I walked it over to their dumpster, and I placed it inside of it. I then returned to my pump, printed out my receipt after taking the pump gun out of my fuel tank fillers neck, and putting it back on the pump, then pressing "yes" when asked if I'd like a receipt printed. When the pump printed my receipt, due to pressing option "yes" instead of "no", I then grabbed my receipt and I placed it into my glove box.
