My mom was having a test on the 1st floor of that building and Dr. Lowe's office was supposed to send down the order. We waited close to an hour and finally I went upstairs and walked the order down myself! My mom also has blood work drawn every 8 weeks for rheumatoid arthritis medication is is on, Dr. Lowe's office is supposed to send the bloodwork to the Rheumatoidologist and they never do! So finally we started having her bloodwork drawn at Floyd County Hospital and they never miss sending the results to the rheumatoidologist. Not only are the staff useless they are also rude!!! The one exception is Toy.

When I tried to refill my monthly prescriptions, they were denied and I was told I needed to make an appointment to be seen. I did and upon arriving I was told that they had dropped me from care, thus my scripts were rejected. When I ask why, I was told I needed to talk to the office manager, I said great when can I see her? I was then told that the best that could be done was for me to call her, leave my name number and reason for calling, I suggested just a moment of her time while I was there and was told she was much to busy dealing with current patients, after all they take precedent over current patients. The sad fact is I like Dr. Lowney, I'm not real sure what went wrong.

Needless to say fast forward 6 weeks later and doubled Pneumonia. we ask for a transfer from this place.and then that took 10hrs to go 10 minutes to another hospital...unbelievable. if you love the person your seeking medical help for ,,,do not take them to this hospital!!!!!

When I was in the room with the doctor, he introduced himself and gave a bit of his history so I could know who I'm entrusting my health with. (I knew right then this was different than others who expect respect based solely on their title). He then asked me about myself and my life. Asked what my goals and expectations were. Honestly, I've not felt like my healthcare was a joint effort with a doctor as much as I have until this visit. I felt heard, seen, and valued. When we discussed renewal of existing prescriptions, he questioned the logic behind each and we came up with a me go forward plan based on what is safest and most logical as a Plan A, He even took time to check my insurance as we talked to see if the meds he discussed would be covered, to save us all time and headache. I picked this doctor randomly from my insurance list, but I now feel so lucky that I did!

I've been a patient for several years and she brings it every time! She also spends as much time as you need with her. Let's you ask questions and takes time with you to make sure you understand your treatment plan. I will mention that sometimes we have waited a while in the office but it is only because she is giving each patient the time they need with her. Nancy Hannah is also great! As well as the entire staff!! My kids love Dr. Stroot and we will stay with her for as long as possible!
