I have spoken with some parents and have came in conclusion that we were manipulated because initially we were told he was the music teacher and months later he transitioned into changing little girls diapers secretly. This has been a traumatic situation on all aspects. For me personally, I teach my daughter that no man should be down there meanwhile unknowingly a man has been changing her diaper in which her DAD doesn't even do... not to mention...The Director/ staff failed to notify the parents such as myself of these changes and under no circumstances should it be tolerated despite their lack of staff or excuses. Although this school is under investigation, this review is to shed light where there is darkness. Please don't take this review as a angry parent venting but rather take it from a safety perspective. This school gets new staff often but do not teach the staff to verify the parent before handing off children, my husband has had the wrong child brought to his vehicle and have addressed the importance of verifying parents before giving away children. If sanitation is a factor please understand that this school allows kids to share binkys (pacifiers) and bring them home. Although, some parents might be ok with their child sharing them I feel that it should be communicated. While there are many other similarly priced Montessori day cares in the area, Ivy's teachers and staff are what sets them apart from the rest. Their teachers are like second moms to our kids and pour so much love into their students every day. Ms. Anisa, the director, keeps us well informed and loves our kids as if they were her own. She keeps the school running smoothly, even through the many challenges COVID has presented. Ms. Julie, the infants' teacher, was such a wealth of information when our children were in her care. She was a great thought partner and helped us navigate through dropping naps, changing feeding schedules and introducing solids throughout the years we were in her class. Ms. Yazmin, Ms. Zarin, Ms. Sherry and Ms. Erica in the toddler rooms are so kind and loving with our kids. We went in for a tour, unscheduled. The facility was much smaller than the other places we'd visited! We met with Kathie, the director and she gave us a quick tour and showed us the Infant room. It's small - with about 8 cribs, a few saucers and bouncy chairs. But I noticed there was NO smell - it was so clean! Kathie told us that there was no wait list, but as soon as we'd made a decision to bring back the deposit to hold our spot. The best part was, it was very affordable ($895/mo), especially for the North Dallas area. On his first day, I had to come back up to the center mid-day with his tuition check. I walked in to a low lit, quiet day care. The entire center was quiet - everyone was down for a nap. My baby, who had not slept over 4 hours or even in a crib yet, was asleep in a crib, on his back, in a sleep sack. From that day on, he's slept in his crib and slept through the night. They were able to put him on a schedule when I was not able to. My son has been at Ivy since he was 7 weeks old. He's now 7 months old. We have even moved to another area - but I still drive him to Ivy every single day. He is thriving, and has a team of teachers there who love him. I will sing their praises every day and am so grateful we found them. I have total peace of mind when I drop him off every morning, and I know we will keep him here until he starts Kindergarten.

For over 10 days, Mrs. Vineetha and Gayathri Kapoor very craftily and shamelessly played the 'blame game' before I pushed them hard for a final answer with respect to refunding the deposit. As soon as we walked in we met Mrs. Renuka and she was very nice. Mrs. Renuka gave us a tour and answered all our questions (and more). The school is very clean, they have a set schedule for the children, and do different activities every day. There are also extra curricular activities you can sign up for. The front door is coded which we love. Mrs. Shante is the pre-k teacher and we absolutely love her! Our son took to her immediately and looks forward to going into her classroom. We have met several other teachers there and they are all very nice. Our son has learned and developed so much being there. The school keeps in touch with the parents through an app and will send pictures of their class when they do special activities or celebrations. When pre-k ended they did a graduation for the kids. All the events they have done, they make it so special for the kids and parents. We also did the summer program and our son loves this too. His favorite was the petting zoo day - the school set up a petting zoo at the school for the kids to enjoy. When our daughter turns 18 months we plan to enroll her in their toddler program and have her stay with the school as long as she can.

We had just moved to the area, and our daughter had previously been enrolled in an excellent daycare from three months old where she had done very well. I'm ashamed to say that in our rush to get things set up here, we didn't listen to our gut telling us "no", and ignored a lot of red flags about A Child's Garden before and during the three days she was there: 1. During our tour, the school director made a comment about how a Montessori curriculum can be great for "retarded children". Our daughter does not have an intellectual disability; this comment was unprompted. 2. The staff lost at least some of our paperwork almost immediately, and then accused us of never having turned it in. 3. The front desk was empty most of the times we were there, including on our daughter's first day. 4. At dropoff on our first day, the AM daycare teacher didn't welcome our daughter, or introduce herself to her, or make any attempt at ensuring a successful initial dropoff. 5. At dropoff on our first day, they didn't have a cubby or hook prepared for our daughter. 6. We got conflicting reports from various staff members regarding the first couple days. One would say she had a good day, another a rough day; one said there were no real issues transitioning, another would say she was really struggling; one said she slept for ninety minutes, another said she slept for maybe thirty. No agreement on basic issues of fact, so we couldn't really trust anything we were being told. 7. At pickup on the third day, our daughter could barely speak. We'll never know exactly what happened that day, but our daughter apparently cried long enough and hard enough that she physically couldn't speak above a whisper for a day and a half afterward. I've never seen anything like it. She seemed traumatized. She was timid, depressed, and overall a shell of her usual bright bubbly self. It terrified us and broke our hearts. 8. On that day - the worst day of our young daughter's life so far - the teacher's notes were empty. Blank. Not a word of anything amiss. 9. When we asked our daughter if she ever wanted to go back - if she wanted to see her teacher (let's call her Jane) again - she became upset and said "no Jane, no Jane, no Jane" over and over again. 10. When I went in to pick up our daughter's belongings and inform them we were pulling her out of the school, and asked her teacher where some of my daughter's things were, the teacher looked at me blankly and said, "Who?" --- Thankfully, after pulling her out of A Child's Garden, we were able to get her into another school where she's done very well; the normal anxiety from being in a new place was handled expertly by a team of caring and professional teachers and staff. She is loved and cared for there, and I once again have a happy kid excited to go to school and learn. I don't think I'll ever fully forgive myself for putting my daughter through those three days at A Child's Garden.
