Posted on REST Anti-aging therapies page . Wow! Ok I plan to move in and live here now! I pass this every day on the way to and from home, and saw the sign out for walk in Salt Cave $20, I knew I had to come try it out. . First, when you walk in the front doors, REST is around the right side toward the back of the building. The receptionist in the back (and the front) was great and set me up on headphones and a quick 6 min introduction/ self guided tour (which shares more about the 10 therapies/the therapy benefits of each one, and the equipment in each of the rooms. I wanted to try out the Himalayan Salt Room so she sent something quick to my phone to fill out and sign. I don't have any previous experience with Salt Caves, but I've heard some not so great things about the large group setting rooms with many people and this experience was the complete opposite of that!! So many good things to say!!!! Highly recommend it!!! . Small room with floor to ceiling Himalayan salt blocks on 3 walls (I actually can't remember if it was on the same wall as the door, too?!) the massage chair is sitting up close to the wall that was lit up and it cast a pleasant warmth on my face! I also added the Halo, which is almost like an aromatherapy diffuser, but instead it was crushing the salt into the air for you to breathe in and I definitely recommend it! . Things to note about the Himalayan Salt Room: 1. I has two massage chairs and one additional seat. The massage chair alone was worth the entire cost of this therapy, AHH-MAZING. Holy smokes! The glute massage was like none I've ever experienced. Make sure if you have a specific pressure request you let them know, the chair runs the full 20 minutes (even though it felt like only 10 mins, it goes by fast, as all good things do) 2. If you get the halo too, note that it only runs for 5 of the 20 mins, which I didn't expect/know. 3. The room is just for you, so you won't be stuck in there with any strangers, which is great! 4. The noise machine has a little of day birds chirping, then silence, then a waterfall, so it's broken up a bit but the sounds are tranquil. . I seriously cannot wait to come back and try each of the therapies! And you better bet I'll be telling everyone about this spot! I'm definitely going to try the dry float bed, I didn't even know something like that existed!!!! I think I would much prefer that option vs getting into a salt float with my claustrophobia. It's a scam! They hide behind a false "religious" persona. It cost $2,200.00 without access to the wonderful Dr. If you want access to him, it's going to cost you $4,000. Egos do not come cheap. I came down with pneumonia and needed to pause the program. I'll I got back from them was ... aww that's too bad, but they happily took my money and by the way ... when you're getting the "sales pitch" they come across very concerned about your well being, until the money part comes up. Then their attitude turns and it's more about the money than you. I should have listen to my gut (no pun intended) I felt like it was a scam, anyone can drop weight if your starving your body with 700 calories a day. This program is remarkable. I was able to lose 38 pounds in 40 days and I am now on the second round and I am 17 days in and I am 22 pounds from my goal weight. (This program last roughly around 40-45 days) I have struggled with the same 20-30 pounds for years and this has just been wonderful. My husband is slimming down as well with our healthy dinners. This is expensive and sticking to the plan is very difficult and not something that you can adhere to after you have lost the weight. Its is HGC injections which will work but once you get off of them, you gain that and more. And when you aren't having the success that the Doctor promises, he doesn't offer much help. My experience with White Oak Wellness was very positive. The entire team was positive and encouraging. Anytime that I had questions they were prompt in response either by text or by calling me. I am southern to my core and fried chicken, bacon, and mac n cheese are staples on my list of things I love to eat. Therefore, the foods that were on my personal approved list were initially frustrating as I did not "like" them. For example I was to eat asparagus and not broccoli, yet I love broccoli but not asparagus, however I stuck to my approved food list and now I love asparagus. It was about learning to change how I cook and trying new things. Also, Bison is now one of my favorite foods. They do provide a list of recipes to use with your personal approved foods list and I put those to good use to be creative and be able to stick to the plan. Obviously if the food is not tasty you will not want to eat it. I saw in one of the reviews posted that it was about HCG injections. This was not my experience. I did not receive injections nor were any offered. There were all natural supplements such as protein powder, powdered greens, mineral sea salt, etc, that are part of the program that you take daily to make sure your body is getting nutrients it needs given the diet is restricted. However, nothing pharmaceutical and nothing that required an injection so not sure if that review was on the wrong business or if it is just something I did not experience. I would recommend to anyone who is serious and willing to commit to this program that is ultimately a lifestyle change. It provides the tools and the accountability (daily text of weight and physical visits to the office every 10 days or so). I started my 40-day program with White Oak Wellness on Dec. 6. It was difficult to have limitations during the holiday season. I committed to the program and did everything the consultants told me to do. I lost 33 lbs and 12 inches by the end of the program. The customized approach to balancing my body was very helpful. For me, addressing the inflammation in my body helped restore balance. My primary care physician told me that if I could lose weight, it would help the pain I was experiencing in the joints of my foot due to arthritis. If I could rate them a zero I would. I started the program last summer. The first 2 sessions I came in they changed the program. One week I wasn't drinking enough. The next visit I was drinking too much. I was having a difficult time as I wasn't loosing hardly any weight as they said I would. After the third visit they prayed with me and said it would happen. I followed the program to the T. They knew I was frustrated and down. Not one time did anyone proactively call to check on me. After 4 weeks on the program and only loosing 6 pounds they had no answers. Unfortunately I was exposed to Covid after 4 weeks on the program and ended up with the virus one week later. I missed my next appointment, I never rescheduled as I was very frustrated. They never called to check on me or see if I was still tracking. I know folks this has worked for and those who it doesn't. First, I would like to say this is a wonderful program. The staff is knowledgeable, supportive and friendly. If you trust the program, it will work for you. My initial weight was 153.5, and now I am at 131.5. I feel great and appreciate Sarah, Susan, and Jessica for all of their help. Yes, it took my willpower, but they were there for me every step of the way. It may be tough the first week but hang in there. Note: I was used to eating lots of chocolate and pasta :) You will not be hungry throughout this entire program. It will require you to follow the protocol step-by-step and do not give in to those temptations from others. Second, I would like to share my personal journey that brought me to this point. I have never had a weight problem until I turned forty. It was not just the 40 mark but all of the meds that I was given to try to get pregnant. The weight stacked on quickly especially from taking Clomid. At that point, I started to become an emotional eater and caused me to put on more weight. It was nothing for me to eat a large bag of M&Ms a day in addition to chips and peanut butter and honey sandwiches. On weekends, I loved pizza.
