Do not go here. Condescending staff that wants to do what is best for them and not for the customer. Snarky front desk. Once you leave the Doctor's office with your prescription after your exam, it is one sales pitch after another, with the goal of upselling whatever product you need - not listening to your needs or concerns. I went here because it was close to home, but now I'm taking my business across the bridge to Hood River. They take the same insurance and there is no sales tax. read more

Outstanding service, friendly, reassuring and compassionate. We need more doctors in the world like this! Highly recommend this clinic! Our family was on vacation when suddenly my husband complained of eye issues, vision had floaters and hazy eyesight. We went into White Salmon and found Dr. Baldwin on Google. It was 15 mins before closing. His receptionist asked a few questions and immediately got us in at the very end of their day. It was Soo appreciated that the doctor was willing to see him under such extreme short notice. Dr. Baldwin stayed an hour after closing and was so thorough and kind. He discovered an eye emergency and immediately referred us to a local retina specialist back home cutting our vacation short. He even called us 15 mins after departure to confirm a scheduled procedure time for the next morning. read more

We bought Aaron's glasses at White Salmon Eyecare. They made it through baseball season and football season and part way through basketball season. Having to put his glasses on and take them off with his football helmet was rough. The rubber on the ends of the arms of his glasses split and was exposing the metal wire. We went to order him a new pair and they told us his glasses were still under warranty. They replaced them for free? My son wore those things out, 3 sports and he even chewed on the ends. They said no problem. This is a small town and there isn't many choices for eye care, so it's really nice when the company is so respectable. It's not very often you go to a store, pull your wallet out to pay for something and they say, "Put your money away, we got this." Up-date from 9/24 review - I was contacted on Monday morning by a pleasant and professional woman who offered a sincere apology. She offered to immediately refund my money but, if I would allow them another chance she believed she could have the glasses in her shop by Wednesday. I agreed, and on Wends she called (twice) to confirm that they would be ready and waiting for me. When I arrived they were exactly as ordered and in addition, I was given a check in an amount representing a significant discount of my original purchase price. This was unexpected and appreciated. Things go wrong and people have bad days. Thank you for recognizing the errors, apologizing for them and quickly resolving the issue. Im very impressed that you turned this around so quickly. Im convinced now that my earlier experience is not the norm and that delivering good communication and customer service is how you prefer to operate. read more

Have to give 1 star because i can't give 0. If you are considering White Salmon Eyecare as a new patient, don't. I was to be a new patient here. I made my appointment for 11:00. Had my previous eye doctor send all my records over. Unfortunately I was 10 minutes late. They wanted to reschedule because they were closing at 12:00 for the Thanksgiving holiday. There is no way I could have had an appointment and been fitted for glasses and contacts in an hour. No one mentioned they were closing at noon when I made the appointment or I would have told them. Not to mention she said they had another appointment scheduled at 11:20. What eye doctor spends 20 minutes with a new patient - especially when they tell you up front they have a lot of issues and will make sure they have prior history? ? Not one that will be seeing me or my family. Thanks, but no thanks. You just lost 4 new patients and every possible recommendation you would have gotten from me. Just visited White Salmon Eye Care. My wife had used their service a couple of years back and was pleased with them. On her referral, and still with a little trepidation because of the other Yelp i read, I went for an eye exam and a possible prescription for new glasses. My experience was very positive: from walking through the door into a spacious, attractive, very spotless suite of offices, and dealing with pleasant support staff, and an obviously knowledgeable and helpful doctor who answered my questions patiently and completely. I try to use medical services as little as possible but at my advanced age I'm pretty sure I know what's up, and I recommend these folks with a complete confidence. (Why not 5 stars? Think of me as the college professor who never gives out A's, but my B's are mighty strong!) read more

Very friendly about doing an emergency adjust for my Silhouettes even though I wasn't a patient. Definitely could be a regular here!

Darrell is excellent. The service is fantastic. Definitely worth it to come here for glasses. Its hard to believe anyone could be dissatisfied with their service considering their professional and generous compassionate care. read more
