I arrived at the hospital at about 4pm, went to the reception and the lady there took my details and told me to wait in the waiting area. There were only a few people about and only one other couple in the waiting area. I found myself reading the notices around the walls while I was waiting. The waiting room was clean and there was a few toys in the corner for kids. After about 20 minutes and just after the other lady was called a nurse called my name and I followed her into the cubicle in the treatment area. I got my examination and a diagnosis of my injury and that was me, all within less than an hour. Painless- hopefully my arm will be too soon!!! As the name suggests this hospital is able to treat minor injuries and has the ability to X-Ray but more serious conditions should go straight to emergency dept. at Ulster Hospital Dundonald.

Glengormley Community Service Centre is the local health service clinic for Glengormley and it's…read moresurrounding areas. It houses various sectors of the Trust including the family planning clinic, children's unit, podiatry, mental health team, health visitors and so on. The centre has been here for a number of years and is a vital part of the community. I know a few people who work for the Northern Trust in this centre and they have not one bad thing to say about it. It's a great place to work, every one is made to feel welcome and you will often see a friendly, smiling face around the (some what dilapadated) buildings. From personal experience I've never had any trouble or mishaps here. The receptions are always cheerful and helpful, they are professional secretaries that don't misplace your appointment. There's a lovely community feel around this area that's partially held together by the local services around here.

It's obvious too just looking around the unit we were in that the deadly cutbacks are incredibly savage. As we left in the lift from level 9 an elderly lady, barely able to stand got in at level 5. She had a small carry case and a walking stick. She was tearful telling us that she had been kept in, prepared for surgery and shortly before she was to be operated on it was pulled as they 'needed a specialist'. Apart from the obvious questions and sheer waste of a scarce valuable resource how could this be allowed to happen to vunerable people but it's a story we hear all too often. She had no idea when she will be called back so she'll have to continue to live in acute pain seemingly until the 12th of never.

I couldn't believe their kindness dedication and great teamwork delivering first class care. Nothing was too much trouble for the doctors, nurses , healthcares, and the housekeepers. The doctors and nurses helped me feel well cared for and reasured as I was very anxious before my operation. I have had breast care in other hospitals in England and in comparison your hospitals care and staff dedication is excellent all round Thank you! This lady is not keeping quite. I had a UTI and mental crisis. Should have gone to a vet. Antrim area I have sent in a recorded delivery complaint. No answer or phone call. Why am I speaking out. How many have been treated in the abhorrent way that mental liason behaved. Never ever will get over it. Antrim area. Do something so that others are not treated in the way I was. 5mins to destroy any confidence of reaching out for help. Has anyone else been treated badly via some of the mental liason team? Not all. Just a few rotten apples! Discipline them please sister or did you just say I will not bother? Well let me tell you a little secret. I in 2/3 can reach a dark place. Then what would you do? Reach out for something that exists but destroys you with their downright lies. Do not go to mental liason team in Antrim area. Do so at your peril. I will never forgive them. If they hurt you a know they have done wrong they havent even a spec of decency to apologize. As for other care in the community I experience 5 stars. Why are these so called professionals allowed to get away with such awful treatment to us who pay their wages? So blocked by reception. Traumatized by lies. I will be demanding my medical notes. as a hospital this place would be my local one ive been in for gynea surgery sev years ago and…read morefound the staff were really nice to me. ive had kids esp my yoongest who wasa born with health problems stasying in the childrens ward here the parents are encouraged to stay with their kids at night you have a chair that folds into a bed and the nurses provide you with blankets and pillows so you can be with your child in the childrens part there is also a parents room with shower, toilet and washing faciliate also a microwave and kettle and fridge. its excellent ive had all my chlidren in maternity and the service was again excellent with my 4th and last child it was very busy but they couldnt have been nicer even offering to bend the rules a bit after i had my daughter providing i let an auxulliary nurse in the bathroom with me while i had a wash i was suppose to be on bed rest till next day . materniyt was very clean and delivery suite was the same v good considering how hectic it was think women were queing up to use it . the only downside here is casulty lets the whloe side down lenghty waiting times i should know as i had a child badly split there chin one night and my local out of hours gp couldnt stitch it as it was too deep of a gash, my husband and mother waited hrs to be seen as there was no one there just to do stitching or dressing of things. if you go there be prepared to a lenghty wait.

Having recently been in A&E on a trolley for 16 hours and then a further 7 hours on a ward, the prospect of discharge changed on more than four occassions despite every observation being satizfactory. Again my point is not the standard of care it is the lack of communication.

The government are placing demands on all the Trusts and the staff are trying meet these demands on a daily basis as well as care for those who are ill. They are doing the best they can using the resources they have available to them and with Mr McGimpsey wanting to make savings all the time this is very difficult!

Unlike other reviewers I did not give birth here, just clearing that up! Although I did go here for…read morean X-ray and my experience couldn't have been more positive. First up, logistics. This hospital is really easy to get to, just off the Antrim Road and Westlink - accessible from all parts of the City and beyond. The parking situation is great - I parked in the main car park just behind the main building of the hospital and it was only £1. The hospital itself is easy to navigate - I had to go to level four and as soon as I walked in I was able to see the signs. I reported to the reception 20 minutes early and in contrast to other reviewers I was seen straight away and was out of there within 15 minutes. Bish, Bash, Bosh - simple! There's a wee shop at the entrance and a cash machine right opposite - please note the car parking machines only take cash so you'll more than likely have to us it. A really pleasant experience for a hospital. There's a lot of different departments here and of course there's an A&E department.
