I have never been this unsatisfied with a professional business than my dealing with this firm. They do a lot of "Puffing" (All Talk). If they had spent as much time on my case as they spent on one of their TV commercials, we might have gotten someplace. The fact is I had to complain to the office manager even to have them file a law suit. The event happened 06/2017. Nothing was filed until 02/2018, and then it is questionable if the right parties were sued.
We will never know because depositions were not taken; The property was never videotaped even after before covid to show how dangerous the parking lot was; Matt Tucker, the attorney, NEVER followed throw anything except for thing to getting me to sign a settlement that would not even cover my true medical bills. He started telling at the beginning of the case that he would not settle for under 65-70k. We settled for less than 1/2 that figure.
I was put into meditation with Whitner not making proper discovery. I called the managing partner with my concerns, and he promised that we would go over the file and tell me what I should expect. He said that he would be going along to the meditation. The meeting was done over video at the Whitener Firm, and he did not even come in the room to introduce himself. I learn more about the law and the road my case was going down from the arbitrator the I ever form the attorney that was being paid to deal, with it. The sad part was the arbitrator said, "I am sure your attorney has gone over all of this with you". I was caught so far off guard with the information she presented me with that I did not know what to do. I am an accountant, and you can't read me very well, and Matt had no clue that I was pissed.
If my attorney had done half of what he said he would actually do, we would have gotten someplace. He could have done a lot without it costing anything? (Fire Department had been out at that location a dozen times over a 19 month period. I know that because I did the research. Did they ask for the 911 tapes? NO). Just those tapes would have to a story. Two depositions and the questions did not get answered and, in fact, the wrong individuals were deposed. My attorney said, "Don't worry, we will file a motion in court to deposed them or whoever the correct person again, and they will have to pay for it" Puffing, It never happened. I called this firm twice asking to be assigned a different attorney, and twice I was denied my request. One was to the managing partner. What did he do for me Nothing but PUFFING PUFFING!
