Waiting times: They have usually not been an issue - if I arrive on time, I am seen within 10 minutes. Pharmacist: There's a pharmacist next door so you can easily get your prescriptions.

Result! The strange thing was, rather than my local NHS Physio offering (City Hospital), I was sent to Aston Pride Community Health Centre. This ended up being a plus, rather than a negative it seems! The appointment time I was originally offered wasn't really suitable around work, so I gave them a bell and was handily given my choice of appointment times. All pretty convenient - additional result. The Surgery is a bit of a pain to get to for me (I don't drive), but would be about 5 minute cab ride from the City Centre or accessible by a fair few bus services (which drop off right next to the Surgery). The Centre is fairly modern looking, but could probably do with a bit of tidying up. That being said, you don't go to a Health Centre and judge their internal design. The Staff were efficient and helpful and the Physio I ended up seeing (Emrah) was patient, kind and knowledgable. If you do need to be referred here for any of their services, I hope you too will find the service as easy to use and friendly as I did!

If I desperately need to see the doctor, if I phone in the morning I can usually get an appointment for the same day, but if not I am usually booked in for the following day. It is a small practice, but the service is very professional, I never have to wait long for my appointment and my Doctor - Dr Mehta, is great. She will recommend medicine that I can buy from a pharmacy that is cheaper if I do not necessarily have to buy a prescription. Getting repeat prescriptions is never an issue too, I either phone up or I email them and it can be ready for me later in the day or at least the next morning. This is by far the best practice that I have been registered with and I have never had a problem with them.

I'm sorry, but at what point is it a sackable offence to OPENLY show contempt for patients in front of other patients? Eventually when I regained consciousness, I managed to take a seat, and was treated AS USUAL with care consideration and understanding by one of the doctors! Would they have ignored me if a woman had a panic attack? Sorry but in MY view, this is GROSS MISCONDUCT. I've seen some callous medical receptionists before, but this one was OPENLY HOSTILE. Hardly the face of the caring NHS!

Dr Jennings and Dr Paul are lovely and the receptionists are really rather nice as Doctors receptionists go! Its hard to get an appointment in advance but they save extras each day, so if you call before 9am you can usually get in that day. They also offer telephone consultation which is helpful if you are really ill or cant drive. Its got a decent car park so its easy to access. 10 / 10!

Not so weird now, is it? I have lived in town 6 years now and was chuffed to bits when I finally got a Doctor's surgery open up within walking distance. Located on the downstairs floor of Boots, from the moment you walk in you can sense the efficiency. You MUST book an appointment, however, if you are desperate and there are no appointments available - there is a walk-in clinic right next door. I have been going here for several years now and have only been delayed for an appointment once. The appointment times are pretty convenient, but as you can imagine; it's a very busy surgery. If you don't require an emergency appointment, it's best to call after 10am - if you do, call as early as possible. I've regularly had appointments the same day or the next day. The worst thing is not having a dedicated Doctor. The Doctor's and Nurses have always been great, but it would be nice to have someone you have dealt with before when you revisit. That being said, I've found this surgery to be clean, reliable and accommodating in terms of opening hours.

The staff on reception are very pleasant, although the morning I went to register there was only one so the wait was long. Intake assessment is a few forms and measuring your own height, weight and blood pressure. I gave myself 3 attempts at getting a nice BP measurement as the horrific prospect of knowing my weight after over a year of avoidance had sent my systolic sky-rocketing. I returned the following week to see if I was set up and had been given an NHS number and was told I was good to go. I asked to be set up for the online booking. First of all they gave me the wrong details, so I had to go back. When they gave me the proper ones, my account had the wrong address and they'd misspelled my name. I also had no option to book appointments. They fixed the errors when I emailed but told me to call about the booking. After 15 minutes on hold I was cut off and gave up. Multiple emails went unanswered. Eventually went back on and they reset it or something so could book. At last! It's not too easy to get an appointment if you work. The extended hours don't really seem to translate to appointments at those times. You could definitely be waiting weeks. On arrival for your appointment, you check in using a touch screen which saves time. It gives an estimate of the time to wait but that was actually wildly inaccurate when I went. It claimed things were running to schedule but there was actually a 20 minute wait. I occupied myself by almost getting trapped in their bathroom which has a very dodgy lock and using the Boots free WiFi. Actual consultation was adequate. I kind of missed the pleasant GPs in the random walk-in clinics in Canada or my lovely one at home. This definitely feels more like a walk-in effort. All in all, it's alright. Reception are friendly and it's nice to book online, even if it ends up being for the far distant future.

I googled this place and turned up without an appointment. The receptionist was terribly sweet and asked me to complete a simple form. After about 45 minutes I was seen, examined and given a prescription. There was no charge ( although I would have been more than happy to pay) I went along to the chemist with my private prescription and was charged only the normal fee! The NHS would be well within their rights to charge me, and I feel quite guilty that they didn't since I have health insurance but I am very grateful to them all.

Automated phone in system to allow for queued calling rather than a dial tone. Offers a daily phone in for doctor/nurse and has computerised check in on arrival at the waiting room. Waiting facilities are basic with a fence off toddler play area (which sadly lacks many toys) Variety of magazines in waiting area although no childrens books, a wide range of medical information leaflets and posters are displayed around the waiting area. Appointments can be difficult to obtain at busier times if you need/wish to see a specific doctor. Phlebotamist also does collection from this clinic.
