I actually love this Waitrose! It really is my go to every time I'm in the city. Yes, it's ALWAYS busy. But, it's also extremely conveniently located, has free bathrooms (which, admittedly, there is often a queue for), and has - in my experience - been pretty well stocked despite the crowds. Maybe not so much an hour before closing, but I can get all the essentials I need: fresh fruit! bags of ice! basic medicines! many delicious alcoholic beverages! an impressive variety of Free From products! ceramic mugs to drink Cava from in the park! I wish their triangle sandwich selection was as impressive as M&S, but overall this is a near daily stop for me when in Bath.

The varieties of foods they sell aren't quite as extensive as other Waitrose shops which can be disappointing. But the staff are always polite and willing to help if you can't find a particular item. For a similar price, I prefer to shop at Marks and Spencer's on the high street where the queues are shorter and the food is more interesting.

For groceries, though, it's got a lot to offer. Fruit and veg are of good quality and usually well-stocked. They have two 'car trolleys' which amuse small (and big) kids greatly, and make the shopping trip easier with children who are too big for the trolley seats but too small to walk all the way around without whining. I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who stopped to offer help, in the end a lovely young man from Latvia came and helped me. He pulled out this huge screw/ bolt from the tyre then repaired it with something magic that looked like a rubber plug. I don't know his name, he said he lived in new Milton and he had a blue car. He really was a saviour to me. I was so amazed that so many kind people came to my aid and offered help. with all the bad things happening in this world today, all the people who stopped were just kind and wonderfu, I'm glad I live in this great country.

There is a dedicated desk in the clothes and electrical area that can help you with any stock that isn't out on display. It has a large fruit and veg section as well as a bakery but the frozen food isle are not that big. Good place to do your weekly shop as you have a marks and Spencer next door and the petrol is always at a reasonable price compared to other stations. Staff are also helpful and friendly.
