On my very first visit Josh took over an hour to get to know me... my life, my habits, my medical history... By the end, I felt like this would be the one doctor in my 30+ years that would really get to know me. Fast forward 3 years and he IS the doctor that knows me the best and cares for me the most. Never too busy to take a call when I'm out of town and in pain. Never too busy to write an email after I visit a specialist, asking how things went or call me if I still had questions from my visit to a specialist. Three cheers for the excellent staff and service here. Since their move, they're in a larger space. Homeopathic remedies available for sale, but not pushed on you. Front desk employees are kind with directions. Dr. Ritterman gave great recommendations of other specialists to check out too. Both my husband and I go to this practice. I see Dr Ritterman and he sees Dr. Josh Levitt. At risk of sounding cliché, Dr Ritterman has turned my life around! Through natural supplements, changes to diet, and acupuncture, I am managing a gastrointestinal issue that would normally require me to take a lot of intense prescription drugs. She also specializes in women's health, and has made a world of difference with some issues in that realm. I have been so happy with Dr. Amanda Levitt. I find her to be down-to-earth, friendly, intelligent and obviously well-read on all things medical. She told me on the first visit (which was over 45 minutes! I felt like she was really getting to know me) that she doesn't shun all traditional medicine, and I really get the feeling that she knows both naturopathic options and conventional ones and is happy to talk to you about both. I finally feel like I have a primary care physician who cares about my "whole health". I definitely plan to bring my kids here as needs arise, too (she specializes in working with children and has three of her own). I also see Dr. Ritterman and can't say enough good things about her and the practice as a whole. I have been very pleased with the results from the acupuncture, I hate needles but even I can handle acupuncture with Dr. ritterman. They also take Aetna health insurance now! Visits with a naturopath are so different than conventional medicine, they listen, they take their time, and I went to see her for my back but she takes into account every other body system, and treats very holistically which is amazing and a nice change from the 10 minute diagnosis oriented visits to a PCP. read more
