I've used Wholesale Computer Supply for probably 12-15 years and have always been completely pleased with their service. Until this time. I took my PC in on 10-26-22 because I needed a new hard drive (mine was full). I called them on 10-29-22 to check on it and was told "it was on the table, being actively worked on". I called again on 11-1-22 and they said it was "in testing". Called again on 11-3-22 "still being worked on". They called this morning (11-4-22) and they asked what size hard drive I would like installed. They hadn't even STARTED on it yet. I run a business from home, so over a week and a half without out my PC was brutal. I would have put the silly hard drive in myself, but I really thought it was a 1 or 2 day job max. When I asked about upgrading my sons processor chip I was told I needed a new motherboard so I asked the guy so I pretty much need a new computer he agreed with me, keep in mind my son spent 1200 of his own money on their gaming PC a month prior to the call, I told him thanks for confirming that what they sold my son was junk the employee flipped out and called me many foul names and threw the f bomb in frequently, I went to try and tell the manager what happened and told them I wanted my money back and I was kicked out of the store. read more

They are always friendly and willing to help you even in a pinch. Cost of the services are reasonable and they will not over sell you.

The technician that helped us was very nice and helpful and got our issue taken care of with no problems so that is the only reason this is getting two stars. However, the technician said he would look at our laptop and fix the issue for no cost if it was a quick fix before determining if it was something that needed to be sent to diagnostics. It took maybe 15 min to fix and then some other person who worked there came over and wanted to charge us $25 for the 15 min quick fix. I said the first said he would do it for free and he said $20 or I will just uninstall the driver he just installed. What an a**. Total rip off for something that we could have fixed ourselves, with it just being a missing driver that needed to be downloaded, if we knew we were going to be charged for it. read more

They charged my husband a $45.00 fee to expedite repairs and did nothing. Caleb the manager is very rude. They claim they called him to give him an estimate but they didn't. I pay extra to have all our incoming and outgoing calls recorded for this very reason. My husband called to check on it 1 time and caleb told him to stop calling every day. Again... The manager is dishonest and rude. He offered me 30 dollars for my custom built computer which would sell for 800 or more on his shelves. He had this to say about my computer in perfect working order "if it even starts up", "It's old" (now the computers on his shelves are older). If you ever have dealt with the BIG BOX store service, where you have to make an appointment just to talk with someone...then you will be pleased when you enter Wholesale... they greet you with an attitude of "how can I help" vs. first words out of the Box store people, is "do you have an appointment". I'm not understanding the negative reviews. I had a 100% positive experience with this company last Fall. I had received several quotes to have a custom computer built to simultaneously run architecture/graphic design programs. Thankfully, I found Caleb who had already built one that he thought would be perfect for my application. It has not only proven to be perfect, but was a fraction of the quotes I had received in both Oklahoma City and Tulsa. He has great service after the sale too. He gave me his direct number to contact him should I need further assistance with anything relating to my purchase. I have only had to call him once about an uninstall question. He was available and quickly answered my question, with again, a reply of "call me or email me anytime you have any problems." In my experience, Caleb is thorough and professional at a reasonable cost. read more

Dropped my computer off Wednesday and was told I'd pay the $45 deposit and the difference of whatever the problem was which they assumed was a power supply ($85, meaning I'd pay $40 when I picked it up.) the girl told me she knew it'd be the power supply and she showed me to replace the same one it'd be $40 more after fixing. She also commended me about how clean my pc was. Fast forward to the following Monday and I still hadn't heard anything. I give them a call because I'm curious and it's done within 30 minutes... weird but okay. I get there and they proceed to tell me it's going to be $117 on top of the $45 I already paid... I'm confused because I was told it'd be $40 After talking it out they decide to just charge me for the difference $40.. and a cleaning.. $25? (Not sure on price of cleaning but I ended up paying $70 total on top of my $45) So why do I have to pay the cleaning fee if the girl commended how clean my pc was when I brought it in? Also why did it take 3 extra days and then is done within 30 minutes of me calling them? And the amount of upsell over the phone was almost repulsive. I will not be using their services again, and I advise you to do research and see if there is another company that could do the same repair for a respectable price. NOT WORTH THE HASSLE read more

Poor service after the sale. Their website is horrible. The portal through which you email support sucks. You don't get confirmation that your email was sent or will be responded to. After several attempts, I called and was told, "what email? I don't know who even checks that." Well, the problem with my purchased PC (one year warranty/no returns) is that occasionally static buildup will cause the computer to reboot if I touch the front USB ports or audio jacks. It is a very intermittent and random issue, but they acted over the phone like it was unheard of. I googled the issue and got answers in seconds. The store wants to try to replicate the problem. Well, in a computer repair shop, hopefully static buildup will not be present. I have carpet in my home. The correct response should have been, "Sorry you are having a problem. We will put a volt meter to any suspect connections, specifically the plastic portion of the case where the USB ports are and the metal screw that attach it." They lead me to believe they don't know what they are doing or don't really care about customer satisfaction, so I suppose I will be buying my own tools and digging out the voltmeter to try and fix the issue myself. read more

I don't recommend taking your computer/laptops to Wholesale Computer Supply. I took my laptop there a month ago to repair the loose charge port (I had to rotate the cable to get it to charge), and they fried my motherboard. After a ton of back and forth, they tried to replace the motherboard and it still didn't work so they gave up. They refuse to compensate me a penny for my $1300 laptop that worked fine (and was barely a year old) aside from a loose charge port when they got it. I brought my computer in to replace a CPU fan, i agreed to a 40$ fee, and couple days wait, after 5 days i recieved a call that my computer was ready to be picked up and it was going to be 86$. When i came in they said they did a "software cleanup" without my consent and acted surprised when i told them i never got a call about it or never agreed to it. They acknowledged it was there mistake but only agreed to take 20$ off the 40$ software cleanup fee claiming "well it's already done we cant undo it." I have in 2020 invested in over 1300.00 worth of computer components from these folks. First I Bought a new amd 6 core processor and a gaming graphics motherboard, and reused my nvidia graphics card. 525.00. Well I had an accident with the board and processor. My Bad. So I again bought another motherboard, just a standard prime b450m-a board and a new visiontek amd radeon 5500rx xt graphics card, and of course a new 6 core processor amd ryzen 5 3600 to replace the one that was on the other motherboard. total. 824.67. Then I took my mother in law out and got her just something to play on the internet with. I think that was close to 300.00. Now they say the card is good. Bring home and install, No WORK, so i grab my nvidia card and install it. AND IT WORKS. So now they want me to "Bring" the pc i put together with their produts to "Get It To Work'. I am going the long way, i did regsiter it. So I Bet they will MAKE IT RIGHT. read more

I was told by a co-worker that she came here and got 2 monitors for $60 for work and suggested I go there to get mine. I went in and asked the guy working (redhead guy) what the options were for 2 monitors. The guy became a Complete jerk when I did not want to opt for the guy's more expensive suggestion. Acted put off when I explained I did not need anything fancy or expensive, that it was just for work every now and then. Made a big deal that he would have to go "search around in the back for what I wanted" and when I confirmed that is indeed what I wanted, he kept huffing and puffing that he would have to have his guy search all around in the back and he ended up 'settling' with giving me one that was on display out in the front, hmmm so he did not have to rummage "all through the back" to find what I needed. If he had not been such a jerk about it I would recommend them to the rest of my 40 co-workers that will be in the need for dual monitors in the next few weeks, but now I will advise all to avoid this place and look elsewhere. read more

They don't follow up with orders they don't realise when parts don't show up, it takes the customer to constantly hound them about getting something fixed. Finally then they realise oh guess that was suppose to be in weeks ago let us check on that and they never call you back. But I guess it's true home of the halfprice computer and home of the half ass service. Stay away from them you will be sorry if you go there. read more
