They held my beach bag and towels behind their office "shed" which was appreciated, but don't bring big bags if you don't trust them unlocked up! I thought the paddle boards were a good quality and easy to operate for beginners! The chain of lakes we went through had beautiful views and followed a fun path on a no-wake lake. The water did not appear swim-able though haha. WFR takes card for sure, and they hold onto an ID while you're out there. NO PRE-REGISTRATIONS unless you're bringing a large group I believe, so just show up and hope they have the equipment you want! They did for us on a Saturday afternoon, and there's lots of other equipment options if you're first pick isn't available. Would go back!

However, from the start, the captain helped us get a wheelchair down the ramp and into the ship, the servers checked on us a few times, and when it was over, another staff member helped us get up the ramp. Not only did they help us up and down the ramp, but they also did it despite having it under control. They could have easily let us be. However, they went the extra mile and were so kind. My client felt so seen!

The Saint Paul Yacht Club (SPYC) is the best urban marina in the Twin Cities -- and possibly the…read moremidwest. It's located off Wabasha Street in downtown St Paul at Harriet Island Regional Park. This means it offers boaters the best of both worlds: direct access to the city and an abundance of green space. Downtown St Paul is a short walk across the Wabasha Street Bridge. Only a few steps further to the Central light railway station serving the Green Line into Minneapolis. Children's Museum, Museum of Science, Excel Center, Fitzgerald, Farmer's Market and many other attractions are nearby. Harriet Island is a great place to be docked in the summer. It hosts many public events, paddleboat tours, Theater performances and ongoing summer activities. The docks are wide and well maintained with dock-side pumping. SPYC also has a new clubhouse and an ongoing schedule of social events. Dock fees are reasonable and access to boats is protected by security gates to prevent unauthorized access. The Saint Paul Yacht Club is a great place to dock your boat for a weekend, all summer, or year-round.

Bay Point and Ole Miss Marina are located along the banks of the Mississippi, where one can listen to trains roaring through town while taking in gorgeous views of the city, Barn Bluff, barges floating down the river, and perhaps even the Pearl of the Lake replica of an 1800's paddleboat. Viewing the Boat House Village to the side of the park is a unique experience, as this is one of only a few remaining gin-pole installations in existence. Note the forty-ft-tall poles which hold the houses in places as the river rises and falls. Dig into a potluck feast with your family in one of the park's covered picnic pavilions. Aunt Jenny's tater-tot hotdish disappears quickly, so don't dilly-dally queueing up! Burn off those chocolate revel bars afterwards by taking a few laps around the park, while kids hang out upside-down on the playground. For visiting fishermen, Bay Point is one of the two main boat launches in town (the other located at Colvill Park). There is ample parking nearby for trucks with boat trailers, and bathrooms for breaks in between catching lunkers. Overall, this park is the perfect place to park yourself whether you're a fisherman, walker, eagle enthusiast, dog, or kiddo...or you're just looking to waste some time! I give it 5 tugs on the steam whistle!
