Even with buildings in the background, the park feels remarkably peaceful. The gentle sound of water, the rustling of leaves, and the overall calm let you forget you're in a busy area. It's a fantastic bubble of serenity. The scenery mixes urban sophistication with natural beauty. Modern buildings create a sleek backdrop for the beautifully designed waterways and landscaped grounds. Even without full bloom, you can see a real commitment to diverse plants here. I can't wait for a return visit in the spring! I can only imagine how bright and colorful it gets when everything is in full bloom. I was in the area just to shop at Blick's art supplies, but it was a sunny winter day out and I noticed this was right nearby, so I decided to have a walk along the path and soak up some of the sunshine. It was way fancier than I'd been expecting from just finding it on the map on Google. I read on the historical plaque that it was designed in 1988 to replace some old gravel pit! Considering how gorgeous it is, that was a really good choice. I got the feeling from how many folks were enjoying the grounds that this park is a staple of the area for communal recreation. It is very much built into the cityscape to reside alongside it. You won't be escaping the buildings and roads nearby, but still, it was a nice bit of natural relief. The primary attraction this time of year is the ice skating between three man made lakes and paths between them. Rentals were available at the warming house, which also had a concessions stand (reasonably affordable fare!), restrooms, water fountain, lockers, and ample benches to put on your skates or warm up awhile (with two fireplaces on either end). There were also exterior restrooms for when the building itself isn't open, which are available year round (the outdoor water fountain though was understandably switched off). During other seasons there is apparently golf, fishing, and paddle boat rentals. Cute! Towards the south end sits an amphitheatre. There are various sculptures along the outer path to see as well, including a giant pine cone, crane, a golden retriever ready to shake your hand, and more. Lots of benches and even swinging benches to rest and relax. Plenty of maps at intervals. The park connects to the Edina Promenade pedestrian/bike trail that goes north and east. I think next time I'm in the area, I'll take a stroll down them. In the future I believe there are plans to connect them to other sections. There's plenty of parking to choose from in any of the nearby shopping centers with garages, but I believe there's also parking specific to the park as well. read more

Had a really fun experience ice skating here! I think to rent skates it was ~$10 but you don't have to pay for admission or anything. The ice was a bit bumpy overall but honestly that wasnt too shocking as it is an outdoor lake. It was very cute and honestly pretty large - I would definitely come back again. read more

I've been to centennial lakes twice, summer and fall, to play mini golf. There are parking lots and areas around the park and it was a quiet night that day. They're doing a twilight mini golf and was invited to go by some friends and it was a fun experience. They give you different colored balls and there are pole lights but it's tricky to see once the sun sets but it was fun. I made a birdie in the dark!! :) Go unwind with some friends after a long week at work over mini golf. Also they cost $11 per person and if you happen to hit your ball into the water or can't find it they'll give you a replacement. read more

Centennial Lakes Parks make the short MN Summers worth it! The man made park boasts a 24-acre park and pond and its a great getaway from hustle and bustle of life. It's located in Edina surrounded by restaurants like Pinstripes, and Five Guys, stores, a business center, retirement homes. Parking lot and ramp available with plenty of overflow parking across from main parking lot. Atmosphere 5/5 Lots of greenery, families, couples, seating swings, a gazebo, benches, activities, and overall great people watching, reading, or just walking spot. Expect to see plenty of photographer and parties celebrating everything from weddings, prom, senior or even family photos. I especially love witnessing the weddings, very beautiful place. Its a peaceful place with plenty of greenery and beautiful scenery. Services 5/5 Activities are posted in the atrium and websites. I haven't indulged in the ice skating or Winter events but hope to. Summer activities include mini golf, bowling at Pinstripes, and a paddle boat which is $20 for 45 minutes if I'm not mistaken and even host live music and Farmer's market. Bathrooms are located outside for convenience and inside the atrium with air conditioned for those hot days. Overall 5/5 Great spot for any occasion. Its very peaceful and serene place! read more

A great park with a very nice walking path around the lake. Not much else to say other than expect it to be busy.

Met the family to try out the 18 hole mini golf course. Loved it. It was a beautiful summer night and the course was in great shape. Greens were very slow with real grass compared to the carpeted minigolf holes I'm used to playing on. Don't leave it short. It's not uncommon to be in the rough and I even had to hit out of sand once. The balls float if you happen to hit a water hazard. For 5 of us it took about an hour. While our group teed off from the first hole, it seemed to be acceptable to tee off on another hole to even out the crowds. I thought that was a good thing as sometimes mini golf can be quite slow with a large group or small children. Really enjoyed this. For $10, it was great entertainment. read more

I absolutely adore this park! It's so beautiful year round with so many activities throughout the year. From their farmers markets in the summer and fall, to ice skating in the winter - this park is one of the highlights of Edina. When it's nice out, I look forward to taking walks here! I don't think I've ever done a loop around the water before, it is 1.43 miles, since there is a very well marked map. It is at the peak of beauty, this is a super well-maintained park. Flowers, trees, bushes, beautiful path, classical music piped in every 10 feet. It's actually even surreal. My daughter took prom pictures in this park, we took family pictures here, and I do remember taking my kids here when they were toddlers and being very terrified that they would fall in, lots of areas around the lake where you could just pop in. You can rent little paddleboats, you can play 18 holes of mini golf for $10. You would never know this park is here, it is surrounded by retail and residential and office buildings. Such an oasis, plenty of parking and bathrooms. Divine! read more

Visiting form Hawaii! We absolutely love Centennial Lakes Park! We enjoyed using the paddle boat on the pond. It was super fun! Actually, it was the best activity and most beautiful place to visit during my Minnesota stay. The whole park is breath taking. Lots of benches and tables around the park. There's even swing benches! Sooooo romantic! Ooh and there's also mini golf. This is a perfect park for all ages. Honestly, if I could choose the perfect date, it would be spent here. The young ladies who helped us rent the paddle boats were extremely helpful! We wanted to pay for two 45 minute sessions. They recommended that we pay for one 45 minute session. And if we actually take the full 90 minutes that we intended, then we could just pay for that 2nd session when we return. They are so sweet and helpful. They were right indeed. It took us one 45 minute session to go around the pond which cost just $20. The paddle boat seats 4 people. It was so calming and lovely. I would love to do this again on my next visit. I definitely recommend everyone to at least do this once too. You won't regret it. There's something about this park that made me feel right at home. Other fellow park-goers were so cheerful and so were we. This park just brings out happiness. My bad experience at The Lowry melted away. Centennial Lakes Park is a definite gem! Fake Lake Park! I do kind of love you. I walk 2-3 times a month when I have to drop off a kid and then I have some time to kill and dont feel like going indoors. It's so weird. I can't believe I've never seen anyone fall into fake lake. And yes, I've done a photo shoot here. And I've seen a few concerts. And I've been on the paddleboats. It's all quite nice, in a fake sort of way. What's not fake is the cool art! But...there are much better places to walk or appreciate art. So this is probably not for you unless you're already hanging around Edina for whatever reason. read more

I came here for a nice game of mini golf. The park is beautiful, and I was excited for a fun game. To my horror, the park is filled with rodents. Everywhere I looked I saw a mouse. They were basically playing mini golf with us. It truly ruined my day. If you are afraid of mice, this is not the place for you. read more

I was looking for a lake, we went to a park??? Haha it was nonetheless very exciting and fun!! We bought some cookies, popcorn, and tibetan snacks. Walk around was nice and they had a wedding that day!! The paddle boards were closed when we got there but it would have been a blast. Place was not clean but it was still a pleasant walk. The farmers market was a pleasant surprise as well. Honestly great place for photos or for a romantic stroll. Beautiful place to take the family as well just to walk and talk. Break out the shorts! It hit almost 20 today. I did see a person donning shorts, just not ice skating. J& I just got back from ice skating and had a really great time! This place is probably the best place in the cities for outdoor ice skating. It's huge! Apparently I look like RoboCop on skates. Robotic, tense and rigid. A friendly, yet agreeable statement from my loving husband. I am tense, but at least I didn't fall. A few almost wipeouts, but I made to the bench before I face planted. No worries if you're not a strong skater like me. There is PLENTY of ice for everyone. So if you're more comfortable hiding off in some remote area, there are a few nooks to skate/ fall. Skate rental is$ 5.00 for hockey or figure skates. I prefer the hockey skates. The Norman Rockwellian looking sleds are $7.00 for an hour I think. Nice option to pull the kiddies in, or for balance. Nice warming house/ with a fireplace, bathroom, shoe cubby and refreshments. Staff is friendly and skating is free. Might be worth hitting the end of the year clearance for some ice skates. I was impressed by the size of the skating area, the classical music piping through the speakers and how friendly and respectful everyone was. Next warm day, we'll be back! read more

There's so much to do in this area. Eat. Shop. Concerts. Art fairs. But today I had a rare business opportunity, and I got a tour of the Microsoft Tech Center! There are probably 27 worldwide, with only 11 here in the US. Awesome tour, great technology, and they are here because of the Centennial Lakes Park location! This area is beautiful in summer, and beautiful in winter. I'm so glad I live near by and go by here every day. read more

Love centennial lakes park and the three stars does not have anything to do with the actual park. I planned a fun date night with my fiancé for the first time since COVID-19 And mini golf was the last stop. I made sure to check the website prior to planning this to be sure I knew what to expect. Long story short, when we got there, there was a sign taped on the window (looks like a 5 year old child wrote it) that said CASH ONLY. I'm sorry but... having cash during this pandemic is slightly rare. Not only that.. when I asked the person working where the nearest ATM was he stared at me and didn't respond. We walked to every local business near by and did not find an ATM so we said forget it which was super sad cause my fiancé was really excited for the mini golf portion of our date. Moral of the story is, I would have taken cash out if the website had accurate information on it. Also, If you're doing cash only be sure to inform your workers of where the nearest ATM is because carrying dirty cash isn't a thing during Covid. **see pic for false website info** read more

I walk around the park all the time with my 90 lbs GSP. It is so clean and well cared for. they have many events / concerts for all ages.

This oasis in the middle of the Edina elite is awesome. Want to mini golf? I think you should. Want to rent a paddle boat? Do that next. Want to wander the beautiful trails and catch Pokemon? Go for it. I love Centennial Lake Park. It is beautifully maintained and can be as free or as pricey as you make it. Mini golf ($10.00 for 18 holes), paddleboat ($10.00 per 30 minutes), bocce ball (not sure on price), or just wander around and check out the families fishing in the man made lake (50 cents for corn to feed the fish). I enjoy for the free trips around the place that can also lead to the Edina super Target. And who does not love Target am I right? With not a dime in your pocket you can have a relaxing walk around gorgeously landscaped trails. Isn't that all we all really need from time to time? read more

Very nice putt putt course. Had real grass rather than a classic kid course. Only complaint was it was very tough for bad players. Had to pull a bunch of shots out of water. Overall, it was a fun experience away from the water. read more

Came here with a friend of mine to go paddle boating a few weeks ago and wow, was I ever mesmerized by how beautiful this park was during my stay here. The park is very clean, calm and quiet, a sharp contrast from what it's like over by the Southdale Center, or even I-494. There are so many fun activities to do here, from simply walking along the water to doing mini-golfing to paddle boating. I HIGHLY recommend the paddle boating. In fact, I think that's the best part about this park - you feel as if you're in Europe as you're strolling down the water for a period of 45 minutes. I didn't want my time on the boat to end! I loved how there were even swing benches too. Such an underrated gem in the Twin Cities this park is. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town. read more

My friends and I planned to go on the swan boats while there (that's why we came here in the first place). The woman running the boats told us that there would be under an hour wait for the boats and for us to sign something with our phone number so she could call us when a boat was ready. We were told that there were only 2 people in front of us in line. We waited for over 2 hours for the boats without a call, and several people (well over 2 people) went on the swan boats before us. We finally went up to the woman running the boat and confronted her about this. She told us that they were no longer running the swan boats, even though the website says that they stay open until sunset, which wasn't for another hour and a half. One big red flag for me here was that she mentioned that she and her coworkers get off work when the boats are done running. After we left (and even before) we saw the people working there on there phones, and they even neglected to help people multiple times because of this. While we confronted the workers, they also seemed to have a very negative and condescending attitude towards us. They also referenced Mother's Day as a reason we shouldn't be upset since the people who came then had to wait 4 hours which is irrelevant to the fact it was a regular day when we visited (especially after the fact they said it would be an hour wait and we waiting accordingly, plus more). We are deeply appalled by their actions and I do not recommend coming here. read more

A great park with lots of shopping. How great is it that you can walk around a park and then walk on over to a store or perhaps grab some grub after an afternoon walk with your dog, spouse or kids? This park has some nice landscaping as well as architectural detailing around it. There's places to sit and swing, or nice quiet hills to nestle with your loved one, benches along the pathways to take in the fresh air. This park is also a well known place to take wedding photos, so beware of wedding parties crashing the park. I haven't explored the park entirely, but you do bump into walkers who are quite friendly. Always a bonus when you feel like shopping before or afterwards. read more

This park is absolutely beautiful and an oasis in an otherwise dull area. That being said, it is impossible to find if you are not from the area. Everything around the park is also named Centennial Lakes Park *blank insert here* which makes it difficult to GPS. Speaking of GPS, half of the park does not even turn up on the map which makes it very difficult to locate. The entrances are not clearly marked and it appears to be attached to a strip mall. Beautiful park. Terrible location. I wish I could say it was worth the effort but unless you live in Edina and know the area well it is simply not worth the fuss to find the darn place. read more

Really cool park, a lot of the shops are closed right now due to the shutdown but it is still nice to walk around and enjoy the view.

I first heard about centennial lakes park when Pokémon go was popular and the park was a hot spot apparently. It's worth checking out if you want a short walk, to play mini golf, or go ice skating in the winter. I see people taking senior pictures or other "influencer" type pictures all the time. And I bet they turn out beautiful! read more
