From the very first message, Lisa was incredibly responsive and when I spontaneously asked if my neighbor could join, she made it happen super easily. Lisa came to our home to do the course, which made the whole experience feel personal and relaxed. The course itself was hands-on, thorough, and genuinely confidence-building. I walked away feeling truly prepared, not just for starting solids with my baby, but for handling emergencies calmly if they ever arise. You can tell Lisa doesn't just teach this material, she really cares about it and she cares about the people she works with. This was actually my second time working with Lisa. I first met her as a lactation consultant and both experiences have been equally wonderful. She brings the same warmth, expertise, and dedication every time. Thank you, Lisa!

I emailed Lisa regarding her availability and pre-checked with The Lactation Network, the company she contracts with, to make sure everything was good to go with my insurance. I heard back within 24 hours from both TLN and Lisa; we were able to set up a home visit appointment within the week. Lisa was extremely friendly and professional during our sessions. She helped measure me for new pump flanges, made suggestions for positioning comfort, and observed my son feeding to make a diagnosis regarding potential latch issues. She offered a number of oral exercises to help my son's latch and provided an EXTREMELY THOROUGH folder with pictures and descriptions of the exercises so I was not relying solely on memory. The folder also had a ton of other useful info from breastfeeding tips and tricks to local professionals, including pediatric dentists and OTs. Lisa also provided a comprehensive write up for my son's pediatrician with her observations and recommendations. Like the folder she provided, it was extremely thorough and detailed. Her professionalism and attention to detail is next level and she is incredibly nice and easy to talk to. I never felt judged or unheard. We scheduled a follow-up in-home appointment which was just as helpful as the first session. A few weeks later Lisa, followed up by email to check-in to make sure my son and I were doing well. She cares about her patients and I know that I can reach out if we run into any other issues. If you are struggling with breastfeeding or latch trouble contact Lisa! She's wonderful!

Although I was not feeding him, my milk came in after three days of pumping. After the 2 week appointment, the doctor said he was growing well and that I could start solely breastfeeding. Although I tried over and over, I kept having my baby fall asleep mid-feed. He would wake up again within an hour because he was hungry. Additionally, I started feeling a pinching pain on the side of my body as I fed him. Trying to address the abnormal situation, we found the Lactation Consultant contact information in our Hospital packet and called the nearest one to us. Alicia responded right away and was very helpful from the beginning. On her first visit, Alicia quickly showed her expertise and professionalism - and we were happy that she adhered to strict COVID-19 protocols while in our home. She also stressed the importance of getting my husband involved to support me and the baby through the process. She helped us understand whether our baby was eating or not, and also gave us some techniques to get the baby to get a full feed (lots of skin to skin contact). Additionally, she did identify both a tongue and lip tie on our boy, and sent us to a wonderful pediatric dentist in the South Bay. A day after leaving, she continued to follow up and stayed invested in making sure that we made progress. The next day, although it was rough, she and I were texting as I tried to feed the baby - and eventually ended up Facetiming so that we could get direct support. Although I was stressed, her availability and willingness to continue helping was so reassuring! A week later, after addressing the tongue tie, we scheduled a follow-up appointment with her so that she could assess the baby's feeding now that he had a "new" tongue. And this appointment was even more helpful! Honestly, Alicia helped turn my breastfeeding journey around and I am so grateful that we were able to work with her. It has now been 3 months since she helped us, and I am currently solely breastfeeding. I love every second of it and I don't take it for granted when I look at my little babies face each feed.

In a short amount of time, Dairian got our daughter back on track and we're so pleased that she is now rolling over, sitting up, and starting solid foods. Dairian is incredibly skilled at what she does and she clearly cares so much about the children she supports. Our daughter lights up every time she sees her and it's clear that Dairian not only is an exceptional OT, but truly enjoys working with babies and helping them to achieve important developmental milestones. We highly recommend Dairian to anyone needing extra support for their little ones. Thank you, Dairian!!

During her very first visit I saw an IMMEDIATE improvement (meaning baby would actually latch onto bottle and suck for a coupe of seconds - vs not even latching onto the bottle at all ever). By 10 days after the first visit my baby was taking 18-20oz/day from the bottle! Added bonus- visits were covered by my PPO insurance. On the first visit, she did a full assessment of my baby and was able to identify the problem areas and why she likely was not taking a bottle. For each of these root problems she had a recommendation or exercise to alleviate the issue. She was extremely thorough, gentle and playful with baby. Exercises were simple and not time-consuming,, which is important with a newborn and a toddler in tow. She had great bottle recommendations (she even had the bottles with her so we were able to test them out right away), and was proactive with follow ups. She's a mom and an OT and both of those things inform her work as an IBCLC in the best way. Highly highly recommend.

More importantly, their website said the stroller I wanted was in stock and available in 4 hours for pickup, but when I got there it wasn't available for purchase and it had to be ordered. When I brought it up to the cashier, he said it was because they have it in store their inventory but not at the store? Huh?? After doing more digging I saw there was a "Terms and conditions" asterisk in fine print you have to click on to find out this information. All I saw was the green check mark that says "In stock and ready for pick up in 4 hours." Any other place I have ever been to- this would mean it would be in stock at the store. When I brought up, calmly, that this was confusing and they should fix it because I drove two hours to get to the store. The cashier said nothing. Not a "Aw geez, I'm sorry. I can understand your frustration and why that's confusing." I'm a reasonable person. I've worked in customer service all my life. The demeanor of the cashier alone has put me off from ever visiting this store again or recommending it. We went to Uppababy a few blocks down and they were SOOO kind that it completely made my day. All I needed was some kindness. To the owners of the Pump Station- the people using your website are most likely VERY tired moms. I personally am getting 3-4 hours of sleep a day. Tired moms need clear signage if something is in stock or not. Time is precious in this season of life. We also need KINDNESS. My body is broken and recovering from giving birth. I am exhausted! I would expect a place who sells baby items to understand this. Overall, would never recommend this place and will tell everyone I know that it was an awful experience.
