About a week after I left the hospital and started having trouble with patch and I ended up bottle feeding. I read an implemented every single trick I heard online and nothing helped. In just one session with Jennifer we were exclusively breastfeeding and he was gaining about a pound a week. The problem was resolved in one session but I'm glad I ended up buying a package of 3. It was nice to have her come and follow up a few times just to keep checking his weight and help with changes that came up- we were having a harder time with one side than the other. Life changing!!! My baby girl didn't take a bottle before I met Jen. Like at all. Then come Jen to the rescue. I thought I found every possible tip online to overcome bottle refusal, but when she came over she recommended some bottles and ideas we hadn't tried. I am incredibly grateful I reached out to Jennifer for help with breastfeeding. I'm a first time mom who had a c-section and waiting for my milk to come in while my demanding hungry baby kept crying really tore me up. Jennifer has been a god send for me on my breastfeeding journey! I had my baby on 12/21/21, and I asked for a lactation consultant right away. Unfortunately they were short staffed and LC is first to go, which is a horrible disservice. Anyway, I was taught by a nurse in a matter of 5 minutes how to breastfeed. Fast forward two days later and we are home- I didn't know what I was doing, my nipples are bleeding, and I was feeling defeated. I found Jennifer on Yelp, reached out, and she was at my house the next day!! Jennifer was amazing and offered me tons of support! She reassured me that I was producing plenty of milk despite the hospital saying I should supplement with formula. She also showed me positions that were comfortable for me and my baby to truly get the deep latch. My baby had a tongue/lip tie that couldn't get revised for weeks, but Jennifer was able to help me and baby out so much that my daughter gained weight each appointment. She's 8 weeks old and almost 12 pounds! Her birth weight was 7lbs 8oz. Jennifer has come over a few times since that initial visit and keeps bringing me more knowledge: how/when to pump, how to help with engorgement, and new BF positions. Not to mention, she responds to all my texts promptly. Recently, my baby girl decided she doesn't want my boob. Our son was born premature and spent three weeks in the NICU. Despite receiving assistance from lactation services in the our little guy just was not good at latching or transferring milk and I started exclusively pumping. The lactation lady knows her stuff! We experienced several on-staff consultants while my wife was recovering in the hospital from her C Section with our first baby. We had were met with limited success, they all gave use the same tips and moreover, no one gave us the real deal on when to pump and when to supplement. Meanwhile, our baby was drying out! I contacted several lactation specialists as we prepared to leave the hospital. A few responded (one demanded a non-refundable Dow payment for the consult). Jennifer, on the other hand, showed genuine concern and empathy, and just wanted to help. We've had her over to our house twice.
