My amazing friend, Natalie, celebrated her birthday at Wick & Sip Candle Lounge and we had the best time. We arrived at 8pm on a Friday night and were given 2 drink tickets. The lounge was absolutely beautiful. I loved the decor and the flower backdrop added a really nice touch! The candle scents were aligned along the wall for us to smell and we were able to choose an apron and candle jar before sitting at our table. Our host was super fun and personable. She shared the back story of how the lounge came about and got us excited to create candles. I chose the Yuzu & Volcano scents which had a light, sweet scent. They walked us through each step and made the process simple and easy. For my drinks, I ordered the Cabernet and the Bacardi Rum Punch. I thoroughly enjoyed the Rum Punch. All of our candles turned out great and smelled amazing! We even went around the room sharing the name of our candles. I called mine "Elevate". Afterwards, we took group pictures and thanked them for a wonderful evening! The class was $45 and worth every penny. They had different candle containers I could choose from and of course I chose pink. I was able to mix 2 scents to make my candle. You could choose from sweet to floral scents. This was out first time at Wick & Sip, 7/13/25, I took my sister there for a later Mother's Day Gift. I must say from beginning to end it was inviting , fun , entertaining , the whole experience was 100% step by step guidance , Kobie thank you so much for assisting my sister one on one in pouring and mixing her scents and wax , thank you to both Kobie and Aerin for giving us your honest input on mixing the appropriate scents. We enjoyed the time so much we didn't want to leave , the music was a plus took me down memory lane. Went to wick and sip for the first time, and it was the BEST time! The suite is aesthetically pleasing and the staff was so fun! Compared to another place in the area I have tried, this one is WAY better! You actually get to make your candle from start to finish. There are also little icebreakers to make the time fun. I love that there are so many fragrances to choose from, and they have the prettiest vessels as well. This was a really great time, and I can't wait to donut again with the girls! read more

A lovely experience from start to finish. I was invited to attend a candle-making class with a close friend. She attended a class before but this was my first time. Our class was scheduled for 2 pm and the doors opened promptly at this time. People filed in and were directed to grab materials and seating for their party. We chose a table near the rear and took in the ambiance. The location was open near the entrance and tables were spaced apart enough to not feel as if you were in your neighbor's conversation. Though it was a fun group of folks and the laughs were shared throughout. The staff plays music throughout the class and even provides opportunities to win prizes and engage with the other guests. We received a lovely introduction and history of the business and owner. It is Black-owned and female-owned! Your supplies upon entry also include two tickets for drinks of your choice during your time. There is a bar but they also offer non-alcoholic beverages as well. My boyfriend surprised me with a candle making class here and we had a great time! It was simple but a fun way to spend date night as opposed to the typical dinner and movie. There are options for candle vessel and what scents you want. They also have a bar so you can sip while you mingle. The staff had great energy the entire time and they made sure everyone was enjoying themselves! Would definitely recommend this spot to friends, couples, people of all ages! You could even come and do team bonding here for work. The entire space was clean and inviting. You will be in the same space with others who book the same time slot as you so I can imagine the weekends are definitely busier but for the most part you don't need that much guidance to make the candle. I am home for the holidays and was looking for something fun to do. I came across Wick & Sip and I am so glad that I booked this event. We attended the 6:00 p.m. class. The doors opened at 5:50. We were warmly greeted, checked in and given our two drink tickets for our adult beverages. You can pick your seat, grab your apron and take pictures while you wait for the class to start. There were ladies of all ages AND gentlemen in this class. FUN FOR EVERYONE!!! Our candle instructor Nicole was patient and helpful. I'm not going to give away all the details but I will say that there will be a few surprises. I have attended about six candle making classes in Houston but surprisingly this one in Virginia has been the best one yet!!! It's such a cute spot and they also sell premade candles and incense. My husband surprised me for date night and took me to Wick & Sip. If you ever done and Paint & sip event, it's like that but candle making. I've never made a candle before but I LOVE candles so I was very excited to learn this place existed. I absolutely loved the vibe once I walked in. Our candle instructor was Nicole. She was so friendly, outgoing and funny. There were many groups of girlfriends and couples which made the night fun. When you check in you get to pick your smock which have inspiring quotes, you get to pick you candle vessel and select you table. On the table, you have a list of drinks you can select to sip on. Nicole explained what every tool was that we were going to use and how to use them. It was very simple to understand. The fun part was picking out our fragrances to use for our candles. They had examples of every fragrance so you can mix and match to get what you desire, up to two fragrances. The ones I chose were Fatal Attraction and Egyptian Amber. Together smelled like heaven! After making the candle, she encouraged us to name our candle so I named mine "Inner Peace" because that's what I felt once I smelled my candle. All in all it was a great time! My girlfriends and I recently came here for a fun GNO to make candles. There were actually a few men at the class so don't be shy to bring your guy! The two women running the evening did a great job. They were welcoming, gave clear instructions and made the evening fun and entertaining. When you arrive you get to pick an apron with an affirmation quote on it. Then you pick your favorite colored vessel for your future candle. We were then seating where our materials were nicely laid out on the table for each of us. You are given two drink tickets that you can use for wine or non alcoholic sparkling beverages. We picked our favorite scent and the candle making began. Very easy and simple to do as they guide you through the process. Throughout the class, they sprinkle in bits of sharing your candle name, snapping your fingers to cheer for other guests, etc. My group of 4 had a fun time and the rest of the class seemed to be equally having a nice time. read more
