There were 9 of us in this session with room for 10. Everyone had their own wheel, apron, and 3 balls of clay. Angela was very inspirational. She shared her background story for us and I love that the number one rule is to not stress. When making pottery, it is your one and only focus or else your pottery will show and boy was that the truth. It was a great experience to just focus on being in the present. She took us through all the steps and I was a bit nervous I would forget them but she was hands on as needed and even had instructions on the board of each step. One practice round and two pieces to take home, I can't wait to see and use our finished products!

This non-profit gallery was opened to help the people of Bangladesh receive help and funding through the expression of art. The community has helped her keep this gallery a float by doing a total remodel of the place. They've broke down walls and made the place more open and suitable for the gallery. She has begun to hold art classes every Wednesday. The classes are open for many local artist to come bring their creativity and for those wanting to get a better understanding and introductory to art. The place still needs a little more work to be done to get to bring art awareness. Perhaps 3/5 stars as far as presentation. But I'm in full support of raising art for a cause. It will be good to get this organization with full attention. I feel fine arts now a days has been lost with having technology. This is great for our local artist who are struggling and can get some recognition. It's nice to have local artist in the area come together and have their work on display. The gallery is beautiful and can't wait to try one of the classes.

I was looking for an affordable music school that would allow me to enjoy the process, but also be educational enough to help me reach my goals as a new musician- I found just that. Chris helped me set up my first lesson in no time at all once I reached out. It was easy to find, no hassle and no pressure. They have plenty of package deals (for all kinds of music & arts lessons) with different lesson lengths. I opted for 45 minute weekly lessons which have proved to be a perfect length of time for me. The packages are for two months at a time; I love that you aren't forced to commit to long periods of time so the flexibility is there, however I plan to continue renewing! Chris ensured I would receive the ideal time slot to fit within my weeks, and I very much appreciated that. I would have made it work with another day/time if needed, but he arranged things so I wouldn't have to. Chris is willing to accommodate your schedule as needed and clearly dedicated to ensuring you get the musical education and experience you're looking for. He is patient and encouraging along the way. Within five minutes of stretching yes, stretching in what we reasonably assumed was a designated area, a staff member approached my wife, my nine year old son, and me to ask my son's age. We were then informed, rather abruptly, that no minors under 13 are allowed in that area. Fair enough, rules are rules. Except those weren't the rules we were sold the day before. At signup, we were clearly told that members 13 and up may work out independently, while children 12 and under are allowed so long as they are accompanied by a parent or guardian. When we pointed out the contradiction, we weren't met with clarification... just a stern double-down. The issue isn't the policy. It's the delivery, the inconsistency, and being corrected in front of a child after being given conflicting information less than 24 hours earlier. SO HERE IS MY TAKE AWAY. Don't rely on the sales pitch. Read the fine print, ask for everything in writing, and understand that what's promised at signup may not survive your first five minutes on the floor.

Sentara uses their pool for physical therapy during set hours and during that timeframe no one else is in the pool but therapy patients. So I really enjoyed that. The locker rooms had showers, blow dryers, and lockers which is great. There's also a machine that spins your bathing suit to get the water out. Which comes in handy!! You can bring your own lock or borrow one from the front. They have water fountains that you can refill your water bottles at with ease. The building is clean and the staff are friendly.
