I actually really liked the beaver tail hot dog but we could have shared it due to the size. The brownie one was just ok and not anything to write home about. Once I tried a Beaver Tail it became like a cult to try to find the stands while traveling around Canada. Two years later I was once again in Canada traveling around and looking for Beaver Tails! The light pastry decorated with your choice of toppings gives you a number of different combinations for your dessert. They also sell other items like a hot dog wrapped in the pastry. Sometimes there can be a line at the food cart but I've been pretty lucky that if a line was started I was usually at the front. All the different stands I've been to have had friendly and fast service: sometimes you can strike up interesting conversations while waiting for your food. Since Beaver Tails Is sold at food stands there is usually seating areas close by to enjoy your delicacy.

It was served hot and had a great flavor. I added less cream than I usually do. The flavor was just right for me. I chatted with one of the employees and she was delightful. The food they serve looks pretty good too but since I was on a cruise I wasn't exactly hungry. They have salads, sandwiches and wraps. There is a constant stream of customers here. If I ever find myself by a Tim hortons again, I will certainly buy a cup of coffee.
