I actually hired her not long before my due date and she was able to accommodate me which I am so grateful for. I was really bummed because my whole birthing experience was completely opposite of what I had on my birthplan! I went 9 days past my due date and was in the hospital for 36 hours before the arrival of my son. Kristie was amazing with her communication. I felt bad since we had to keep giving her the run around about when to show up at the hospital, but she kept up with connecting with my family to ensure she was there to capture the moment. After telling Kristie multiple times to hold off heading to the hospital, my doctor ordered a C-section and the baby would arrive in less than an hour! Everything was such a blur and went by so fast, so I am SO glad I decided to get birthing photos. Kristie was able to rush over and get there just in time to capture the most beautiful, candid, poignant moments... even though I had a C-section! The pictures came out so lovely, and she even made a sweet little video which she posted pretty immediately on Facebook. Every time I look at the pictures I can't help but cry. My only regret is I didn't get to spend hardly any time getting to know her since she was busy doing her thing, but I am excited to work with Kristie again to capture some more precious photos of my son as he grows. We could not possibly be more pleased with her professionalism, attention to detail, personal touch, and overall cheerful demeanor. Every step of the process was stress-free, and Elissa even went above and beyond on several occasions by mailing us chocolate (always a plus), and helping us get an idea of what to expect from other parts of the wedding planning process completely unrelated to photography. Beyond her incredible diligence (all of our wedding photos were edited and posted online before we returned from our honeymoon), Elissa is also a very talented photographer who is very light on her feet. For the most part, we hardly noticed her presence (with the exception of some great, and amusing direction during the crazy family formal shots), but the photos indicate that she has a way of being everywhere at once! My mother-in-law actually expressed concern on the wedding day that she thought the entire ceremony had only been photographed from behind my wife, such that there would be no photos of her face during a very emotional event. When I saw that there were in fact gorgeous, artful and intimate photos from just about every angle--I was relieved and elated that my MOL's worries were proven to be baseless (aren't they always? haha). Elissa clearly takes great joy, and great pride in her work. I have no doubt that whatever you hire her to shoot, you will be blown away by the results.

They did our…read morenewborn shots when our daughter was 7 days old, 6 month milestone, first Christmas, 1 year etc. Our daughter is now 2 1/2 years of age and can't wait until we can get photographs with them again since our two-year old shoot never happened due to the pandemic. Brian and Amanda really care about their craft and will not take pictures in certain weather, if the baby isn't having a good day etc as they are true professionals who care about their craft and not just about making a dollar. It's hard to find real photographers who care as much as they do who have mastered their craft. We have some amazing photos that we will be able to cherish forever and am grateful to have found them. Unfortunately I was not able to use her services. She had published an opportunity for discounted…read morenewborn sessions and we communicated back and forth about the due date, colors, logistics, price, etc. She never mentioned a deposit or release but did ask if I could send pictures of the windows in my house when I have a chance. A few weeks later I sent the pictures and she told me the price was now full price as she already filled her discounted slots. When I pointed out we had an agreement she said I never signed the release or paid the deposit. Both of which I knew nothing about. So unfortunately this is looking like a case of bait and switch. Offer one price and then increase it once you're committed. I have decided to find a photographer that fully discloses up front.
