I had a tattoo put on by Willie on April 16 he did a beautiful job except the tattoo is not centered. I messaged Willie on May 12 to see if he could touch up the tattoo I messaged him again on May 22 he said he was a little busy again I'm willing to pay more money to fix it but no reply, I messaged him again on June 12 with no response. I read some other reviews that have problems with this tattoo store not following up with tattoos my fault for not looking into it. Glad I found another tattoo shop that's willing to work with me and fix and add to the tattoo. read more

I loved it there! All of the people where so kind there, and everyone waited until I was ready to get my ears pierced, they didnt try to pull any tricks, they waited until I was ready. I have been getting piercings at wicked ways since 2019 when they have their $10 sales. I've gotten six total which 2 I had to take out for a job and they closed (got them all at multiple locations but mostly grandville) the staff isn't very talkative but they do good work! I've never had any infections with any of my piercings as they give good aftercare instructions. Will always recommend this place! read more

Honestly I was really surprised to see some of these reviews, I got my first tattoo here a little less than a week ago and had a great experience. My artist, Snow, was the best! She checked to see if I was doing ok and actually held a conversation with me, which apparently isn't super common from what I've heard. Though there is plenty of bad reviews to look at don't let them deter you from keeping this place in mind, I got my nose pierced her and got my tattoo and I honestly don't have any negative things to say about this spot. read more

DO NOT BOOK WITH TYLER. i got a hugely expensive tattoo as a christmas present to myself. he told me that you can get a free touch up within thirty days of your tattoo. i texted him after a week and a half of healing that i NEEDED to schedule a touch up and i definitely have things that need to be fixed. he waited until there was 1 DAY LEFT of my thirty days to TEXT ME BACK so i was unable to get the free touch up. they run your pockets and don't care about your ink. read more

Reading this review is no different than reading any of the others. Of course, it's your typical tattoo shop mentality. Can't open the doors until noon, actual workers don't start showing up until 1-2, if even at all. They tell you they have time to fit you in and to come back in an hour, only to be told they don't have time since they have a booking in 45 minutes (which isn't even enough time to set up a chair, let alone do everything that goes into a tattoo). Then when they mess your whole afternoon up, they're just ehhh, and unapologetic about it. Long story short, if you're looking for some dependability and to not have your whole day messed up. Didn't want to do this but I need some support from my friends. And it sucks cuz this place was actually cool until they cheated me out of my deposit! About 2 months ago I put a deposit for a tattoo and scheduled a date. Due to some personal reasons I had to reschedule. I called over and over again everyday for a week to contact the tattoo artist for a reschedule. I either got he's not here or call tomorrow. Left my info so he can reach me. The day came and I didn't go. I called back to see if I could get my deposit back since no effort was made to reach out to me (after I did many times). Finally went into the store to ask for it back bcuz it was a week of no contacting me after the tattoo artist said he would. The associates there said they would talk to their boss about the whole situation and reach out to me. It's been a month and no word. I am frustrated bcuz of there unprofessionalism and lack of communication I was cheated out of my deposit after I did my hardest to reach out. read more

We went in wanting a couple of piercings since they're running specials on piercings and we weren't pleased. Noize was the piercer and he didn't have me approve the placement of the piercing (I wanted my conch piercing to match symmetrically to the one on the opposite ear) anyway my piercing is crooked and Noize was rude and in a HURRYY dodging questions i had about the piercings and ring replacements... not good work.. he placed a 2in bar thru my conch that pressed into my neck every time I moved my head. i dont know why they couldn't have put in a simple stud. Went with my friend for the tattoo deal they threw (2x2 for $40, 3x3 for $60). We paid, were recommended to get the 3x3 because of how detailed the piece was, and after a bit of a wait (due to the piercing sale at the same time, no fault of theirs), we went back. Noize was our artist, he was SO professional and polite (my tattoo was in a sensitive area and he was very aware that he was in a sensitive place, so he apologized profusely for any accidental touching, no problems at all!), and helped with my placement. I appreciate him and the staff there for their work, they are understaffed and under appreciated. read more

Was looking for a great artist that could fit me in short notice and wicked ways fit me in no issues! They were great at making me feel comfortable and more of "one of them" than just a client. This was my first time going to get a larger tattoo and Willy helped me so much and was great. Everyone there made the experience great. My tattoo by the way, so so so gorgeous. The shading and everything was done so beautifully i get so many compliments and constantly asked where i went and who did it. And for a great price too! Don't go to any of the Wicked Ways locations. I went to the Wicked Ways in Allendale and the artist, Jeremy Leopold, was extremely rude when I walked in the store. I came in and was new to tattooing and was telling him I saw his work online and complimented his work after that he looked me up and down with disgusted look on his face and asked who recommended me to him. *** THIS IS A LONG REVIEW, BUT DEFINITELY WORTH READING*** I am honestly struggling on where to even start. My fiancé and I showed up for his appointment (we had made the appointment for 1; they open at 12) and no one showed up until about 1:20 (almost an hour and a half late and 20 minutes after the appointment was supposed to start). We shrug it off, go inside and start filling out paperwork, when the piercer comes in and let's me know she just backed into my car (leaving a HUGE dent on my front hood- making it completely un-openable). She let me know "not to worry about it" though because "[her] car was fine." She never offered an apology, or to exchange insurance information, instead she ran to the back of the store and never came back. UGH. We finally sit down for the appointment when halfway through the artist (Dom at the Plainfield location) decided to let us know that he changed the amount he would charge us, despite having already agreed on it prior to starting the tattoo. And when I say he changed the amount we had agreed on, he DOUBLED IT. In the middle of the tattoo. Couldn't really say no at that point. Fast forward to the healing process, it went fine. We took proper care of it. But even so, the words are extremely faded and just not well done. I voiced my concerns to the company, they told me they'd take care of it, I believed them. But after I filed my complaint with the company my friend, who had gotten a tattoo with me there a few days prior, started getting very angry and threatening messages from the tattoo artist. ~ This first incident nearly occurred a year ago. Fast forward to this weekend. My fiancé and I decided to go back (to the Allendale location this time) and take advantage of the 2x2 tattoo for $40 sale. We showed up, put our names in, started waiting. About and hour and a half into waiting we noticed that people who had shown up after us were getting in. I went to the counter and asked about how much longer the wait was... only for them to let us know that they forgot about us. Our forms were sitting right in front of them (they probably didn't notice because they were too busy talking to each other) and our names were the only ones on the list not crossed off. They let me know one of their artists would be freeing up shortly and we can get our tattoos done then. Okay, fine. We sit down, get to work, and once my tattoo is about to get started (my fiancé went first) the artist asks if we can come back later in the week, he promises he'll still abide by the sale, but he needs to finish up other people's tattoos for the evening. Frustrated, I agree. I show up yesterday. Stand at the front desk for 20 minutes, ring the bell a few times, keep waiting. Nobody comes up. Finally, uncomfortable, I decide to go out to my car to call in and see what's going on (yes, they were open. I heard several employees talking in the back and a tattoo was in progress in one of the rooms- it was also 4 in the afternoon). After 4 attempts at calling in, a woman answers, I ask if the artist was available, she just huffs and let's me know he was fired that morning, so no he can't help me. I say "oh... okay.." not sure what to do or say at this point and the woman just says "yep. Bye" and hangs up on me. I have never been more disgusted with the lack of professionalism that has been exhibited by Wicked Ways. I know this was a long rant, but I feel like it needed to be said (and that says a lot because I have NEVER posted a public review). I kept quiet after my first experience, but this is unacceptable. I will never be returning and I will be sure that anyone that comes to me for recommendations gets steered clear of this place. I absolutely do NOT recommend. read more

I was at the Plainfield location and this place was a complete disappointment and disaster in every way you could think of. Today was going to be my first day getting a tattoo and I was going to get a matching tattoo with my brother, and my mom was getting a touch up on one of the many tattoos she already has. We were made aware of a good deal from Wicked Ways (A 2x2 tattoo for 40$) and so we wanted to take advantage of this opportunity. I can say they were very professional in the sense that any minor that walked in like myself was required an ID and their birth certificate with their parent/guardian present. Much like how we wanted to jump on this good deal many others did as well so as you can imagine the place was busy and the artist of this shop were not ready for it. Everyone in their had a poor attitude were rude and could never answer any of questions with detail. We did still decide to wait 3 hours for our tattoos and when we were finally up for our turn they told us we couldn't even get what we wanted because the artist didn't do that but if they charged us more they would. Made an appointment with Bethany (Allendale location) and she gave me a price which I felt was fair, when she created the tattoo and sent it to me she told me the money I paid was only for the outlining, it was a lot of money and was under the assumption I'd be getting shading as well, after I told her there was a misunderstanding and I'd like the deposit back she then tells me it was a non refundable deposit AFTER I paid it. She sent me some of it back but still kept $150 of the deposit and told me I couldn't have it back because now she has to find someone else to fill my appointment spot (this happened a week before my appointment). She told me she could do the work in the price range I thought it was going to be, but after telling me how much it would be, she upped the price by $100. SO I explained to her I never signed anything about a non refundable deposit and now she's telling me I cant have my money back, I am in for a rude awakening, and that other rude things when all I wanted was my money back. I have gotten all of my tattoos done at Wicked Ways but will never be going back and do not recommend. Gave 1 star because 0 wasn't an option. read more
