I honestly don't like to go to a company's web site to only read about all the glory only. There's usually two sides to a story. Especially such a serious issue as owing taxes. 8 ago years we started using Offsite Business Solutions, Adam who was employed by her Melissa…read moreDarrow, did an itemized and a standard tax return to get us a bigger refund. We did not know that you can not do this .We trusted he knew what he was doing. This was a mistake. 8 months later Irs sent a letter stating taxs were not filed correctly. We contacted Melissa Darrow at this point, she stated that she would take care of this and supposedly sent a letter and that everything was taken care of .We had nothing to worry about .A year later we got another letter again she told us that we had nothing to worry about, it was taken care of. Last year we got another letter stating that they were putting a lien on our home. This mistake of Adams was an 800.00 mistake . Then we got another letter that said they had put a lien on our home. Yet again we contacted Melissa last year, stating that we now had a lien on our home. She said she was talking to them. It would be tied up by the end of the week this did not happen. What happened instead was they took both of our returns last year and for 2024 and 2025. Called and emailed Melissa over a dozen times. Every time we called her or emailed her, you got the same response I'm working on it .I just need another week one week turned into three months three months turned into 6 months 8 months later still no result. By this time I was very frustrated because we had this lien on a home for a mistake we did not make. We trusted her prior employee Adam and he was making mistakes on lots of people's taxes. At this point she had let him go and he was no longer working there in the meantime we were desperately trying to get her to fix this situation and we called the tax bureau several times and ended up being told that she had not contacted them, she was not talking to anybody. She told she was,and literally 9 months later we ended up paying it off with our both our taxes .But we ended up paying $1,000 instead of $800 and then had to wait for the partial refund back from IRS. Everything Melissa stated for the last year and for the last 8 years, was not true. She was telling us what we wanted to hear sadly none of this was true. We were stupid enough to believe her and trust her. If you want to get a lien on your home and you want to be lied to by Melissa and you want to have your taxes taken for a mistake by her business.By all means use Off site Business solutions. I I could give them minus a thousand stars I would. By far the worst tax bureau in the United States. Last year we found a different tax bureau close to where we lived ,and even the lady that did our taxes last year said she should have taken care of it. I said unfortunately she did not we believed her, everything she's told us was a lie, she did absolutely nothing for the last 8 years. We are basically out $800 that we should not have had to pay. Because when you pay someone to do your taxes ,You trust that they know what they're doing .You trust them . Over 3 months ago, suddenly lost a very close family member, and found myself responsible for final…read morearrangements, giving an eulogy and the estate. Distraught and totally lost a dear friend said Stephen and his people could help. I immediately reached out, got a fast response and began the paperwork. I had a ton of questions about what to do and how to do it. For most all my questions, I was told I'd have to call someone or it was left unanswered. The probate part ended up being the only part actually started by the group and that I didn't have to seek other legal help with. More expense on top of paying for a car and huge house that are in the estate was most unwelcome. The "6 weeks or less" has long since passed for the only thing I need from this particular group. All the "assurances from the attorney or anyone else I've dealt with there have passed. I can't get anyone to respond to me anymore, nor can the person who recommended him. The 100% cessation of communication and lack of help with anything but starting (but not finishing) Letters of Administration has forced us to seek help from other attorneys and the bar association. Recommendations from friends can be great, especially in a very difficult time, but definitely should of read reviews and done some research first. Lesson learned, and still don't have the document I've paid a lot for.
