I visited your store knowing nothing about dab rigs, the tools and how to use them, the names of each piece and what it is used for, and what works best for beginners. I didn't make it 6 feet into the store when Tory, who was helping another customer, greeted me and my husband. When that transaction was completed, she asked if we needed help. We indicated 'yes, a lot and she was right over. She started by telling us about what was on sale, almost as to comfort me, as I was concerned about prices. She explained each rig and It's pros and cons. Tory suggested a style that she thought that I'd be happy with. She then led us over to the cabinets with the other supplies and helped us to decide upon those items. She wasn't pushy. Tory is the best passive salesperson that I have seen in my lifetime career in hiring sales people. Tory is an asset to your company. Quite frankly, I've been in that particular store before and she was just as on cue as she was for this visit. The other employees, not so much. They're nice and informative but, this young lady takes the cake. If I were still in sales, I'd gladly steal her from your employment and give her a store to run. If she's already a manager, she really needs to be at the corporate office. Don't let this one go. She's making you good money. I had intended on only spending around $30. I spent $106 in total that day (over 3 transactions.) Good, faithful, honest, hard working employees are extremely hard to find, especially in these last few years. Might I suggest you give her a wage that ensures she stays with your business; so that my headhunter friends won't come scoop her up for their own businesses. I like the fact that these guys carry a wide variety of products. I don't like the fact that their manager (tall; longish/man-bun-ish brown hair; doesn't know how to wear a mask) was patronizing and condescending and refused to allow me to exchange a scale that wasn't working properly THAT I BOUGHT LIKE 18 HOURS BEFORE. And it wasn't so much even that he wouldn't let me exchange it. It was that he refused to understand or acknowledge what I was trying to explain. I'm not clear whether he was insufficiently intelligent or insufficiently motivated to give a shit...but he just literally refused to understand what I was saying. I was trying to explain to him that although the scale did weigh things accurately, when I added mass to the scale slowly (like a mg at a time or something...like small aliquots), it would not register anything. Like I could add 100 pounds...but if I did it slowly enough using small enough amounts at a time, the scale would still read 0.00g. I tried to demonstrate this with water...and I showed him that I could pour on small amounts of water and the scale would not react. However, in the store I could never manage to add small enough amounts of water consistently enough for long enough to produce, like, a big cup of water with the scale still saying 0g. I would eventually trigger it just because I would accidentally pour too much at once before getting very far. Whenever this happened, he would say "well there you go man it works. I don't know what you're talking about. Your problem is just that you're not adding enough mass. the scale weighs 10mgs at a time". And I explained 10 times what was going on, "you saw me add like 4 drops and it didn't register anything at all. Eventually it registered when I poured that "big" .4ml drop...but only because it was a bigger drop. You saw that when I was adding smaller amounts...it wasn't reacting." I explained that at home when I was adding single-digit-milligram amounts of POWDER...it wouldn't register regardless of how much I added. I asked in store for a powder to demonstrate (since liquid splashes and eventually like a whole gram of it will fall and trigger the scale) but he just kept insisting it was working properly. Like...purposefully not acknowledging the thing I was trying to say. He was trying to win the argument (by purposefully misunderstanding it) instead of acknowledging what I was saying and providing customer service. I am not upset about the lack of an exchange or a refund. I understand if it is their policy not to exchange scales or whatever. I would have been 100% fine if he'd have said "look, I see what you're saying. The thing is that we can't exchange scales. I get how this scale not recognizing small aliquots of mass might be inconvenient...but that's unfortunately how the scale works and you'll have to deal with it". I would have been 100% fine and understanding. But it was infuriating and humiliating to explain everything, and then have him grab a giant 100g bottle and throw it on the scale and say "welp looks like it works to me! I have no idea what you're talking about". I would be happy to add a video of me filling the scale with powder and having it still read 0.00g if this website would let me. With a photo I'm just gonna be accused of taring the scale. But I'll add a photo if it would help. Oh and I asked when i bought it...and he told me I'd have 14 days to exchange it. So yeah I didn't just buy it and walk out. I knew it was an electronic scale and that those have a tendency to be idiosyncratic and/or not work right sometimes. I was very much under the impression I could bring it back. TLDR: Their store carries great products. But the manager at this store is a real piece of shit. Don't count on good customer service. wild bills has some of the best quality selection glass!!! and most variety in E-liquids and disposables!! Not to mention there selection of cigars, a magnificent Humidor is outstanding for the location. This particular location has some of the friendliest people I've ever encountered at the Corporation. Most other smoke shops or tobacco shops in town give you attitudes or standoffish energy. The employees at wild bills Midland Michigan location are very welcoming and knowledgeable. The discounts and prices are the best you can find in the whole area! A lot of my preference in shopping depends on the mood of the people when I arrive and this is one of the best environments I have a visited The other tobacco locations in midland don't pale in comparison ....
