This rescue is fake. It is clearly an IRS tax scam and they have posted countless images of birds…read moretaken off of Google. The birds they HAVE rehomed have been unvetted and overcharged for up to 1000-3000$ for a bird. She claims to have recently taken in 45 parakeets , which in all honesty is just - well - impossible . As a parakeet owner myself, 45 budgies would be well over 7000 in basic fees to ensure not only veterinary care, but also cages and food. I would also like to reference that there has been not one post showing any recent intakes, only AI images. I also feel it necessary to note she claims that her "sanctuary" enables a free fly environment, which is not only very clearly a blatant lie, but would be impossible to ensure the safety of all the birds if it were to be so. There have been many cases in which birds that have been adopted from her, have been returned to other local rescues with medical and emotional issues. Her former adopters have refused to return to Evelyn due to their own experience and feeling that it is simply unsafe to do so. Attached below is proof of her using google images to perpetuate having birds in her care, when they truly are nonexistent.

I made appointment with her to drop our bids off. I messaged her repeatedly with no reply the days leading up to our appointment with no reply. So we drove almost 2hours to the rescue. We found no one at rescue. Just empty cages and garbage. It smelled . Her land lord who was very kind and helpful said she was evicted 30 days ago and now he has to clean out building and the mess. After fact she messed with excuses and said they be going in foster homes. After she wasn't there meet us and we were blindsided that she had been evicted. She should told us they were having situation. So please go with different rescue.

ZERO STARS! BIRD OWNERS PLEASE READ BEFORE BOARDING!!! I am writing this review to warn other bird…read moreowners based on my recent experience. My childhood pet macaw was boarded at Ana's Parrots & Supplies for a few weeks while my family completed a local move. During its stay, my macaw became seriously ill. According to the veterinarian who treated her afterward, she contracted a virus that is typically spread by other birds. She later aspirated, developed pneumonia, and tragically passed away. After discovering the illness, we called the owner to inform her of what happened. Instead of expressing any concern or taking responsibility, she was rude and blamed my mother for the bird becoming sick -- despite the fact that our macaw had never been exposed to other birds in her entire life until being boarded here. My mother spent roughly $2,000 on testing and treatment trying to save her, only for her to pass shortly after. Since sharing our experience, several local bird owners, avian vets, and bird experts in our area have echoed similar concerns about this facility. I truly wish we had known all of this beforehand. Losing a lifelong family pet in this way was devastating. While I can only speak to my personal experience, the lack of accountability and the conditions that allowed this to happen are deeply concerning. I hope this review helps others make an informed decision before trusting this business with the care of their birds.
