This place is fun and has so much potential. It is a super large bar which is always nice so you're not packed shoulder-to-shoulder with everyone. The dance floor is a great size and lots of people two-step. If you're looking for line dancing, I don't recommend this place, the only "line dances" they play are the Wobble and the Cupid Shuffle. All the workers seemed really nice, including the front desk girl, the bartender, and the dance teacher Richie. The only complaint I have is the DJ. I tried to have a conversation with the DJ and request a song, and he was so incredibly rude. I asked if they usually played any line dance songs at this bar and he told me "This isn't Zumba step class". He had the most sour attitude and it put me off so much. read more

Apparently you get kicked out by head floorman David for sitting next to your girlfriend. We had 4 other floorman come to David and vouch that he was sitting next to me the whole night. All David does is start screaming about how my boyfriend caused an altercation that he had no idea occurred and how "he's done for the night because I said so." So when it's 4 other floorman saying he was sitting down the whole night, and you're the only one to have seen this supposed altercation you win. Ridiculous. This is the last time we will step foot in this bar. That is ridiculous. If you believe an altercation happened calm the two parties down, bring them outside and see what happened. If other floormen vouch for a party saying he was sitting the entire time, admit you're wrong and let us continue to enjoy and spend money at your establishment. read more

If I could possibly write a negative star review I would. I experienced extreme prejudice and racism currently at their club. They pulled my friend who is of Asian dissent looks like a minor but she was of age to the front because accused her of being intoxicated as a minor in front of the police. Telling her that she could get in trouble if she's too drunk in their club. And proceeded to interrogate her if she had drank too much. My first time here... had heard things about patrons being asked to leave for different reasons so was prepared. Not a bad place. Not clean but well staffed. Waitresses walk around selling only shots and a mixed drink. So be ready to walk to the bar to get your own drinks. Also not sure why only Girls can dance on the boxes that have placed around the dance floor. ( was told it was only for single women to dance on them) . So we were there for a birthday party... and yup my husband was asked to go with one of the bouncers. And they asked him to leave... without letting me know. Least favorite place I've ever been to. Unlike other reviewers, I have no complaints with the staff or facilities. My biggest complaint was with the DJ. This country bar fails, and I mean FAILS at striking a balance between country and hip-hop/rap. They would play slow country, followed by a hype rap song, followed by slow country, etc. The result? People don't even bother getting out on the dance floor. Everyone sits around the perimeter watching and waiting. It was the most underwhelming dance club/bar I've experienced to date. People smoke in bars...if you don't like it, drink at home, or move to California or New York. The staff here is really nice. The drinks aren't bad, and don't seem too overpriced. Also....watching the people dance is truly hilarious. Seriously...if I ever need a laugh....I know where to go. I know it's gross, but I almost pissed myself just from laughing so hard. My biggest and only real problem with the place is that the bathrooms are pretty icky. Coming from Fort Campbell and knowing how Electric Cowboy is and having nightmare experiences from there, I was more than weary coming to Wild County being a club located in a military town. But last friday they proved me wrong. After hearing ladies getting in for free before 11pm on the radio I decided to take my wife there. Guys are $5 and they a offer free non-alcoholic drinks to DD's (they must wear a red wrist band from the front, ppl drinking wear neon green). It's your usual country/hip hop club and I say that because they balance country simple two stepping with hip hop 90's 2000's and current throughout the night, mixed in with copper head road and cupid shuffle of course. They play hip hop beginning of every hour and go to country. DJ played a lot of good songs to get the crowd going and even have small confetti fall down. Overall a good Playlist and something for everyone who likes country and hip hop, yeah it's not strictly one genre but today people have all sorts of different tastes and they cater to everyone. Big dance floor, had a lot of 2 stepping going on but plenty of room for ppl to dance. And if your rythmn impaired like me, they offer dance lessons Fridays and Saturdays. Drinks were kinda pricey, a shot of house tequila was $5 but nothing a pregame can't solve especially when they let you go out and back in. You'll see ppl different in all walks and life, shapes and sizes but all have one thing in common and that's having a good time. They earned 2 regulars. read more

We came on a Saturday night during a bar hop and were promptly charged $5 for cover. I don't believe in having to buy the right to spend my money at the bar, especially for a club in a town like Killeen, but what can you do when there aren't many choices around? The atmosphere's what you would expect for a country-themed bar/club, and I had fun with my friends. I like that you can smoke here, and the bartenders are fairly on-game, especially if you tip. (I noticed that most of the crowd here doesn't tip, so when you slip a few ones for your drinks, you get served right away the next time you go for another round.) The dance floor is always entertaining, as drunk dancers fly into each other. Just make sure you have moderately heeled shoes; you'll need them to walk over the puddles of piss men leave on the bathroom floor. The only gripe I have is you get decidedly un-friendly looks from some of the rodeo clowns in the crowd (Who are you kidding, most of these posers never saddled a horse in their lives.)--this stare-down contest will be especially pertinent if you're male and of an ethnicity other than Caucasian. We were there for 2 hours, went up to a different bartender, she told us she wasn't serving us because we didn't have a mask on, we looked over and no other bartenders are wearing a mask, a server RIGHT next to us wasn't wearing one. Entrance was really nice, the welcome was great & the cashier lady took our entrance fee and proceeded to give us the wrist bands & a stamp for me (under 21) $5 each for my 4 siblings & $10 for me = $30 entrance Security Guard watched us & greeted us! He was super nice! Walked In, and the place was really big. Lights flashing and everyone having a great time. My sister & brother went to the bar to get them drinks. I didn't get one because OBVIOUSLY I'm underage. My brother finds a cool spot where it overlooks the whole place. You can see everyone on that point. To my right, White young man with a Cowboy hat wearing white collard buttoned up shirt & blue jeans with cowboy boots with a long ass beard was standing on the side. Every time someone walked past, everyone knew who he was. We minding our own business & not even 1 minute he comes to ME! Homeboy says, "You know the security guards are going to kick you out if they see you drinking." I said, " I'm not even drinking " with a confused look on my face. Raises his voice , " Well IM JUST TELLING YOU AIGHT" Replied " OK THANKS, I KNOW ALREADY! " He says " Why is there a drink in front of you?" I said "it's not mine , it's my sisters ! Thank you!" Then I looked away. He leaves and a Security guard passes by and he's having a quiet conversation with him acting like I don't know he's talking about us. Security Guard takes glances at us every time he's talking to him. So the Security Guy stands at the end of the stairs and looks at us the whole time. NOT EVEN 5 mins later, homeboy Security Guard & the manager comes and tells my Brother to go outside now! Escorts him out & My sister follows him while we stay back. My cousin asks, "What's the problem" to the "Manager" and he points at me and says "She knows what's wrong!" Mind you, we checked in at the counter where I paid for my siblings and homegirl in the front didn't give my brother one. Then my sister comes back saying "LETS GO!" She said they took him outside and patted him down and asked him for his ID. My brother shows it to him & obviously he's over 21 & homeboy Security guard then says "Go Home!" My brother & sister said "that's messed up! Why are we being sent home?" These guys had nothing to say. ALL THEY HAD TO DO WAS JUST ASK HIM FOR HIS ID AND GIVE HIM THE FUCKING WRISTBAND ! I want to preface this by saying that I come here A LOT. I love to two step and I love line dancing and it's the closes bar to me that "offers" either. I go purely out of necessity. If you come here to meet people who also like country music and can dance THIS IS NOT THE PLACE. The only guys there who can dance are the ones already hitched, other than that it's groups of bachelor soldiers who aren't very socially adept; if you ask them to dance their brains implode. Smoking is allowed inside so be prepared to 1. not breathe and 2. smell like cigarettes when you leave. The bouncers really like to kick guys out for a number of different reasons but mostly cause they get off on it. And honestly, I think all of this would be forgivable if the DJ didn't suck so bad. The country mix isn't bad, a lot of sad slow stuff but whatever, the "club" music is the same shit over and over in the same order, and when asked to play any line dance other than copperhead road, footloose, cupid shuffle, or cha cha slide, you're met with "I hate line dances that's all I played in the 90's and I'm not playing them anymore". boohoo dude. We're the ones dancing so, I dunno, maybe play something we want to hear?? Overall it's pretty meh. read more

I love this bar. It's very open and pretty big. Even on a Friday night where it gets pretty busy, it still has moving room...my down sides personally are that they play hip hop/rap music around midnight for 30 minutes...then back to country for like 10, then back to hip hop/rap...it's disappointing for the people who just want to listen to country...it's a country bar, that's what we expect. I don't like how smoking is allowed, but it's the state, each state has different laws about smoking in bars...with that being said, although I left smelling like smoke, it was rather ventilated and as long as you don't sit above chain smokers, you should be able to enjoy your evening. WAY LESS PUKING SMOKE SMELL THAN STARLITE, which is NOT a country bar anymore, so no comparison there. This WAS my friends and I's go to bar. Never again! We all pulled cash out of the ATM. One girl received a counterfeit bill apparently as when she went to pay for a drink they told her to rip it up. No big deal. She gave them the other twenty pulled from the same ATM at the bar. Later that evening she is pulled aside by the GM who asks her where the money is. She tells him per the bar tenders instructions she ripped it up. He calls her a liar and says he knows she tried to use it again. (I paid for her drinks after the whole rip up your money) and tells her to leave. The poor door man apologized to us as we left but sorry if YOUR ATM was used, then your employee instructed someone on how to handle the situation maybe you should have apologized. I've been coming to this bar/club for 7 years now and it's a blast!!! The staff are great people and like to get to know their patrons! I've seen the reviews about the nasty bathrooms, that has to do with the nasty women using them!!! As for the music complaints, c'mon just read the name Wild COUNTRY! If you don't like country music, then don't bother showing up! As for the smoke, I'm a smoker and I even get aggravated by it at times! But we still have the freedom to smoke in these clubs! The management team was grossly negligent in handling a sexual harassment that occurred tonight in their club. My girlfriend was sexually harassed by another female in the club. Instead of taking matters on to her own hands, she did the right thing and told a bouncer about the situation. The bouncer completely mishandled the situation and blew it off and kicked my girlfriend out of the club because he didn't want to "deal with drama". It is incredibly irresponsible of the management to handle the situation in that manner. Women should feel safe in a club and trust that when they feel harassed it is handled appropriately. What if it was more serious? (Not that sexually harassment isn't serious). I pray that nothing worse happens to anyone in that bar, I would stay away because I firmly believe this isn't a safe place for woman unless there is a dramatic change and process out in place to handle future incidences. read more

My fiance went here last night. She started a tab on her card (as your often do at a bar). The end of her night rolls around, and she goes to close her tab, and she doesn't get her card back. She notifies the bartender that she didn't get her card back, and the bartender goes to get the GM. The GM comes up and immediately starts to basically accuse her of lying. He says she's drunk and that the bartenders haven't been drinking, so she must be wrong. My fiance repeatedly told him she just wanted someone to double check the area behind the bar where they keep the cards because her's often gets misplaced. The GM, being the clown he is, then makes HER go behind the bar to look for it. Without even going any further into the story, which I can assure you continues, I can say without a doubt this is one of the worst bars either of us have ever been to. There's an expectation held of a business when you trust them to hold essentially your bank account, and not only did these people violate that trust by losing her cared, the GM responded by patronizing her and belittling her for THEIR mistake. I have no problem suggesting that everyone avoid this place, since they obviously have no respect for their customers or just people in general. read more

Went to Wild Country on our first weekend here after moving from San Antonio and it was such a disappointment. I figured it obviously wouldn't be the same as country clubs in San Antonio, but I wasn't expecting this bad. It was not very busy at all but took forever to get in. They only take cash and yes they have an ATM inside but nobody wants to pay ATM fees. After waiting forever we get in and the bar not very busy and we both got beers that were a little warmer than I'd like but not too much to complain about. Then I got a shot of Patron, you'd think that if you're paying $7.75 for a shot it would be good. It was awful. So watered down and disgusting. I think what frustrated me the most was the bartender! She gave us the beers then gave me my shot at two separate times and promptly returned to texting on her phone. Very rude and obviously didn't want to be there. read more

I'm going to be honest guys. I frequent this club every wild weekend in a month and generally, I've had a good time, but tonight was super disappointing. Some minor drank an alcoholic drink sitting around and the manager decided that I "supplied the drink." Don't get me wrong, the staff is 100% quick and respectable and I really enjoyed hanging out in the past, but I got kicked out tonight within 10 minutes of my being here when all I wanted to do was play pool and relax with some buddies (who by the way are all over 21). I know the rules, I've been here before and I don't buy drinks for anybody, I go to clubs to get drunk and chill. Super disappointed with how the management treated me tonight, kicking me out for a reason they made up off the bat. They pretty much took my money (cover charge) and told me to eat it. Really disappointed with how I was treated and accused of something I didn't do. Whatever, there's more clubs around here and Austin is always an end game for people trying to have fun. If you respect yourself enough to not be treated like this, I highly recommend you stay clear of this fucking place. The best part is: I held my drink my hand the whole entire time so I don't fucking understand how some dude drank my drink without me knowing it. But whatever, they want to be dickheads, that's on them. They will certainly never see my money again, that's for sure. The DJ is horrible and his comment to me when I asked him to allow a Latin song to play all the way through without cuttingbit off 10 sex into the song he said that Latin music is boring he won't do it, the most he would do is play about 5-7 songs at only about few sec a peice a row and considers that playing the enough because he didn't like the length of them and it bored him. Besides the fact he doesn't have any mixing abilities and your telling me this while your wearing a t-shirt that says echo en Mexico and your white guy and I am Mexican it's the most ridiculous thing to have come out of your mouth to me. My friends and I were being messed with by another very intoxicated group of girls at the bar and the bartenders yelled at us to move away from the bar if we're going to fight. I definitely did not feel safe there. No security was called to help fix the situation. Normally I absolutely love this place. The door girls are very sweet and friendly, Especially D. But last weekend one of the bartenders was so rude, I couldn't let it slide. A friend had ordered a drink for me and was given a totally different one. My friends and I are regulars and in his rush, I guess he thought she wanted a drink that another friend had been ordering through out the night. We told him that wasn't what we ordered and was told, "Just drink it!" He then stated that if I got another drink he would have to charge me again. I told him that didn't make since because what I got wasn't what I ordered. He said, "Drink it or don't..." and walked away. I left the drink on the counter and walked away. When people pay for something, they expect to get it. You don't go to McDonald's, ask for nuggets and end up with a burger. But when they do make a mistake, they fix it. You don't get told to "Just eat it!" This guy was really rude. But I still think there are some employees there that make up for the few A-holes that are there, like with any business. Well my husband had like 3 shots and was barely buzzed..they didn't give me any free beverages for being the DD, well they kicked us out because our 4 person group was too "intoxicated".
