Cheaper and faster than the Apple store…read more Have been here for a couple of fixes so far (new battery on a 2-3 year old phone and a replacement charger port after a little corrosion). Both times I was in and out in about 30-45 mins, without even making a booking (that said, I would recommend ringing up before to check if they have parts in stock, especially for non-current phones). Much better than Apple's 'Genius bar' I reckon, which costs more, requires a booking, often still has a queue... and one Apple store 'Genius' even said the charger port couldn't be fixed... hah.

It's a bit confusing if you've never been there before while steps away, I saw him in the distance waving his arms while on the phone with me.. it was so kind to help direct me to his shoe repair shop. I introduced myself and he was such a kind merchant. I told him what I needed and asked when I will be returning to Australia.. As a crew member with the airline my schedule can be erratic. He told me he can do it that day and to come back at 5 PM. I returned and my leather boot heel was replaced. He even shined my leather boots. They look good as new. I was so excited his prices are reasonable as well I highly recommend his shoe repair, especially to any fellow Flight Crew members that frequent trips to Sydney Australia.. Thank you Maurie. Digital Mix is located in the center of Dixon shopping center in Chinatown on the ground level. After talking with the techie inside for quite awhile, I agreed to leave my phone in their hands over night. I walked out of there hopeful and excited to finally be a legitimate person again- an iPhone user- and get to retire my airport-acquired red Nokia. Much to my disappointment, I received a call about 30 minutes later. It was the shop girl at Digital Mix revealing that because of the hardware and software combination on the device, they would not be able to safely or effectively unlock it. CRAP! I picked up my lemon of a phone with discontent and disappointment. Thinking about it, however, I am happy that the shop didn't just go ahead with the procedure and totally ruin it. I have confidence that had my phone been a different version (something other than 4.1), they would have been able to set me up. Unfortunately, I am now left with a fancy iPod that also doubles as a paperweight.
