Tried out Match Eatery today (inside the Cascades Casino)…read more Suggest you reserve as it gets pretty busy and we saw folks turned away. Sis had the Fish tacos and I had the Asian chicken salad. Both were very good but do save room for dessert - the sticky toffee pudding with ice cream was excellent. The only thing I was not thrilled about was the temperature of the tea. Was only luke warm and even when I asked for more water - same thing again. So don't count on a good hot cup of tea! Parking is onsite at no extra cost. Note - if you have a coupon, make sure you go to customer service first or ask your server. Seemed like a convoluted process as you must declare it before you order.

We were shocked recently when we were sat by the back wall and noticed the wall paper has a " Jewish internment camp and execution" style scene printed on it. NOT the atmosphere we expected to dine under. The prices are a bit high for what you get. However the food can be quite tasty if it's prepared correctly. (not burned crisp) Their seafood pasta was really good for the Wednesday special price of $13.. Regular price $21. Last time I had the $32 steak and it was burnt and tough (was suppose to be medium rare). Was NOT worth it at all. Even the happy hour food arrived burnt. Not what was expected!!! Would I go again? Maybe. If we were with other friends. But next time I'm making reservations, so we don't have to eat and state at this inappropriate, gross wallpaper at Match Eatery in Chatham. We did complain to head office because we spent close to $200 for burnt food. Head office said they'd sent us something to use the next time we dined at Match Eatery. But they never did follow through. I guess head office doesn't care about customer comments or their experience.

We live not far, so we decided to give them a go. When we arrived we were greeted right away and offered a table by the front window. Our waitress was quick to bring drinks and take Our orders. My wife ordered a Cajun chicken and avocado salad. I ordered the Cobb salad with extra chicken breast. These salads did not disappoint and they did not skimp on the chicken. The restaurant was clean and inviting. All of the staff were friendly and prompt. The prices were very fair and portions were spot on. We will definitely be back soon.

Server number 200 did not do that for me this evening. I went to Archie's on a recommendation from my local host. My Cajun chicken salad was decent, nothing to brag about, nothing to complain about. The bartender took my drink and food order, but someone else delivered my food, and kindly asked if I needed anything else. I said no. The bartender passed by me no less than a dozen times, never stopping once to check in. She busied herself with socializing with the locals at the tables, but couldn't offer a simple check in to see if I liked my food or needed anything else. Before that, my tip was going to be 30%, which is standard. By the time I left, it dropped down to just under 20%. She was not even deserving of that, but I am a decent guy. As I walked out, I expected a parting greeting from the bartender who was at another table. Nothing. As I passed by the host, I expected another greeting. Nothing. There is absolutely nothing about this restaurant, the food, or the staff that would encourage me to return or recommend it to anyone else. Nothing.
