went here with my grandkids for dinner one nite and was quite pleased with all aspects of our dining experience except for one area. The Smoke House burger and Mushroom Swiss burgers were quite large (two hander 1/2 lb burger) , well made and quite tasty. The accompanying fries were equally tasty with a nice crunchy texture. The two younger grandkids ordered off the kids menu where both got the grilled cheese and fries. They ended eating everything on their plate, which is a 50 50 proposition on most outings so they were equally pleased and grandpa was as well! Lastly I ordered a House Margarita on the rocks that was well made and quite tasty in its own right albeit a tad light on the tequila per my calibrated palate (: The one downside and reason for me not giving 5 stars is the service. Though friendly, it was very slow with no follow up during the meal. I had a strong desire to get a second Margarita but just couldn't get the order in. We actually had a hard time even getting our bill and when you are sitting at a table with some figety kids you really dont want to be sitting around waiting on your bill. Not sure if this is an ongoing issue with this business as I saw no evidence of it in the excellent reviews this business is getting. Probably our bad luck to get a server who was just not up to par. Service aside, we really enjoyed the food and enjoyed watching the live sports that were on the many TV's strategically placed around the bar/restaurant and definately would eat here again the next time we are in this area.

Cobb Salad with extra chicken breast

My wife and I were looking for dinner the night before Christmas. We were both craving a big salad and Archie's menu seemed to have some good options. We live not far, so we decided to give them a go. When we arrived we were greeted right away and offered a table by the front window. Our waitress was quick to bring drinks and take Our orders. My wife ordered a Cajun chicken and avocado salad. I ordered the Cobb salad with extra chicken breast. These salads did not disappoint and they did not skimp on the chicken. The restaurant was clean and inviting. All of the staff were friendly and prompt. The prices were very fair and portions were spot on. We will definitely be back soon.

Billy was so cool and my husband really appreciated it!

Billy was our server and he was so friendly, made great menu suggestions and the restaurant was packed with people but Billy hustled! We were celebrating my husband's birthday and he went out of his way to make it fun and special! Our entrees were great also! Thanks Billy!

    Mahi Tacos

This place surprised me. Basic setting when you walk in. Replacing the grand tavern. Archies seem to be a good option. Service is nice and very attentive. I went with the Mahi tacos. It came with a soup which I went with French onion. They hooked this soup up better than no other. It was very good. The Mahi tacos were a first for me and they were okay. But they were lacking something. So who I went with got a burger that came with some type of garlic sauce. She didn't want it. So I added that to my Mahi tacos and that was a GAME changers. These tacos became very good after that. I would strongly urge y'all to try it. Maybe add it to the menu. The chicken tenders were fresh & hot. Not hand battered not home made but okay. Lemon meringue pie to top of the dinner was tasty and exactly what I expected. Overall so far a good place to eat. This place is a hit. I forgot to mention. They do have sagnaki (opa! cheese). While I didn't get none. I appreciate seeing and hearing the opa! Whenever someone got some so that's a plus.

Entrees usually prepared with a well done complement of veggies. Not typical of bistro food.

The seating is comfortable and the energy is lively. We had a great server, he was very nice and engaging. The food was satisfying. The Mac and cheese bites were a pleasant surprise. I had a massive salad and it had a tons of ingredients, very fresh and delicious. We also ordered the filet bites and this is a tender and tasty dish. The pretzels are sort of common, nothing too special. Next time, we must order the desserts! They looked so tempting. Overall, I would definitely return. Art and Jake's is fun place to dine.

I like that they have multiple salads more than other places around. I don't know if I would come back or just order take away and make sure I have the correct order before leaving.

Like others have mentioned, this is a smaller D&B and I was very happy not to walk into the place with a bad odor (I've read past post that have mentioned noticing a sewer like smell). There were plenty of games to choose from but as the night went on, we noticed a lot of machines either being out of order or wasn't working correctly (balls in some of the games weren't being returned despite there being plenty of time left. The human claw machine looked pretty cool but paying an additional $20, didn't seem like a great deal. After using up our card, we went over to redeem some tickets. That said, I was a little surprised by the layout. From the outside, the building looks massive, so I expected a much larger game floor. I thought it was pretty good, it was decadent and tasted like it was very unhealthy. But the bread bowl was soft and basically everything you'd expect. Chips and salsa - chips so over fried and also had a lot of small pieces like the bottom of a bag of chips. Deep dish personal pan - way too overcooked and also the bbq chicken pizza was not tasting the way it should. Too much bbq was the table's consensus. Chicken parm - sauce was straight from a can. Like it was fine but didn't taste restaurant style. And the chicken was a little too fried in my opinion. Same with the southern chicken, a lot darker in color than the pictures so definitely over fried. Also our wait time was crazy. We were there longer than 2 hours for a party of 4. We ordered quickly and waited almost 45 mins for our food. 25 mins to get our pizookies at the end. Is that normal? It felt way too long. Our waitress kept disappearing on us too so we couldn't ask for updates. I've been here before and had a great time, I just think it used to be better than what it is now. 3 stars because I know they can do better but honestly was super disappointed with my meal and experience today.
