When I had the pictures taken it was amazing. The results were less than amazing. I did feel a bit like I was put on the spot during the photo reveal and had to say how much I loved them. Honestly they just looked generic. Worst part is I thought my husband would love them and I was being overly critical of pictures of myself, judging myself unfairly. After giving them to him for Valentine's day I could tell he didn't care much for them. He kept saying how great they were but his reactions were enough to confirm he thought the same about them as I did. As soon as we talked with Patrick we knew he was the photographer for us! His style was and is exactly what we wanted. Patrick puts his focus on the people and the special moments of the day. Patrick was absolutely outstanding the day of our wedding and before. We chatted via email a few times before the day to make sure we were on the same page about the timeline. Quick and simple was the mission - we did not want to spend a great deal of time on the posed photos - We wanted to maximize our time with Patrick on the candid moments. The day of, working with Patrick was outstanding. He arrived to the location early to decide what areas of the grounds would be the best for any posed moments. He was exceptionally calming and helpful in getting the best reaction from everyone. Also, he did all this in the SCORCHING heat! We asked Patrick for a few advance peeks so we could use a photo or two as part of our thank you cards and he was able to provide us with about 10 and we are just blown away! She flew out to Colorado, so we booked Travis for three families together: a group of 6 adults and 5 kids. He recommended a beautiful spot near Morrison, and we rolled in with lots of chaos and various stages of readiness. Here's what my sister-in-law said: "this was hands down the best photo shoot I've ever done, and the photos look the most amazing. I want to come to Colorado and do this for all my photos." You guys, he had pre-thought out the spots and kept us moving. No awkward standing around just trying arrangements and then it's over. We got to walk, we got to climb on benches, we had five different settings, and as we hung out and visited between spots, he got some beautiful candids. I did not expect that the site and photo shoot would actually be a fun outing. Then we very quickly got the photos within a couple days, and they were gorgeous! One of the couples ended up using a photo for their engagement announcement. My sister-in-law basically looked like a magazine cover in some of her shots. The shot of two little cousins running while holding hands was downright heart-melting. So all of this is to say that Travis was the complete package and more than I expected, and when you're blown away by a service, you want to tell the world about it.
