Making the decision to trust a childcare provider with our precious little boy was not a decision…read morewe took lightly. However, after meeting with Diana Mei and seeing the unbelievably gorgeous space she has created it was an EASY decision. Diana, is a mother herself and is a trained/licensed and seasoned Waldorf teacher. To us this translates to a care giver who is highly skilled, warm, compassionate, wise, intelligent, passionate, dedicated and most importantly a person who really loves being with children. Diana, supports the imaginations of the children through, songs, stories, puppetry, and classroom aesthetics. The Rose School is on a Oak studded piece of land with a beautiful view. The curriculum includes, YOGA, SPANISH and Farming! Children collect eggs from chickens and grow vegi's, herbs and flowers in the garden. We are deeply grateful to Diana and her staff for the amazing care they provide.Oh and the FOOD is ridiculous.. in fact we have been making it at home. Organic, wholesome and super tasty! I could go on.. But I think you get a good taste of what Rose Kindergarten has to offer!

Our son was so excited to start, although he was a little hesitant at first. Being away from home was tough for both of us, especially since he wasn't potty trained yet. But Nyisha and her team supported us every step of the way. They helped potty train him, kept him on a consistent schedule, and even got him used to daily naps. Since starting less than a month ago he's learned so much. He's only three years old and already working with letters, months, and days of the week. He's developing his motor skills, learning manners, and thriving socially and emotionally. He wakes up excited and ready to go to school every day. He loves his teachers, enjoys playtime, and fully participates in the engaging activities they offer. The staff interacts with each child individually and thoughtfully. Another amazing bonus is the app they use to keep parents updated. We get real-time updates, photos, and daily information about what our child is doing--it gives us so much peace of mind. I honestly can't recommend Nyisha enough. This school has gone far beyond our expectations and outshines any other school I've had my older children attend. I only wish Nyisha had been around when my 15-year-old was younger! If you're looking for a daycare that combines learning, structure, and genuine care, Nyisha is the one you want.

The facilities are clean, the teachers have been incredible, communication is clear and they have so many activities that help kids learn and develop, from art and craft projects to weekly visits from different programs that provide various physical activities and learning opportunities. We receive updates daily, with pictures and videos of the different projects and activities the kids are doing, and the development that has happened in all 3 of my kids, has been nothing short of incredible. We are so happy to have found Little Treasures, and we can't recommend it enough to our friends. If you're looking for somewhere that's safe, clean, encourages development AND that your kids will love - Little Treasures is an amazing place for childcare. Highly, highly recommended!

I rarely write reviews, but SKA is a school that is worthy enough to brag about!…read more My daughter has been receiving the best care here. I decided to transfer her from a local preschool to Supreme Kids Academy a few months ago, and in just six months, I have noticed a significant difference in her learning, penmanship, and overall development. Before enrolling her here, I did a lot of research trying to find a great school for my little one. I can truly say she is receiving the best care and education in the Bay Area! Their staff and teachers are unmatched. As a mom who works in education, I can confidently say their curriculum and materials are advanced. There are a lot of local centers and schools that do not have the right resources, structure, or teachers to successfully run a great preschool. Every staff member is so sweet, caring, and attentive to my daughter. You can tell they have a prestigious hiring process because every single staff member carries the values of the school. Not only is my daughter receiving the best care and education here, but she is also receiving the highest level of safety. As a working mom, safety is extremely important to me. They have an app where they send updates throughout my daughter's day. I am in constant communication with them and receive alerts throughout the day, which is such a relief as a parent. With everything going on in schools today, it is comforting knowing your child is safe and receiving the best care when they are not with you. Our children are the future, and investing in their care and education at a young age is so important. We love SKA! Thank you to the entire staff and administration for creating such a loving, safe, and enriching environment for our children. We are beyond grateful to be part of the SKA family and truly appreciate the care, dedication, and hard work that goes into making this school so special.

They provide breakfast, lunch and wholesome snacks included in the cost of tuition which was a huge help. They helped potty train both my boys in just a short few days and really work with families in developing a plan that works with each child. The cost of tuition is more than reasonable for the services provided. They offer additional enrichment opportunities through music, dance, karate, and gymnastics courses. I loved that my children had the opportunity to be exposed to these different programs during the course of the day as it wasn't always possible during after school hours with a full time job and other children. They offer special field trip days held at school which my children always looked forward to and still talk about (puppet shows, petting zoos, visits from dentist offices etc). Ms. Tia and Ms. Coco welcome the kids every morning and ensure a smooth drop off. It was a huge relief knowing my children were in the hands of such loving staff. My kids literally ran to them! Not to mention Ms Tia is a professional photographer so you will never have a better school picture! They communicate any concerns in a timely manner and I loved being able to check the app for picture updates throughout the day. I always felt any questions or concerns I had were also important to them and addressed promptly. I watched my children's confidence grow as they mastered a preschool curriculum. They learned how to make friendships and how to handle conflicts with the support of their teachers. I really can't say enough good things about SKA. The owners, administrators and teachers will always have a special place in our hearts. They provided me with the "village" that I didn't have and I am forever grateful.

We joined…read moreher playgroup class when he was only 4 months old (over a year ago) and he's thrived so much because of it. Our weekly play group-classes have provided invaluable social skills, bodily coordination development/learning, and parent education; my now one and a half yr. old is thriving, confident, secure & super coordinated! Christina holds a 1.5 hour class, almost all free play, with simple age appropriate objects/toys in a light-filled play space (at Then Comes Baby in Oakland). The RIE principles that she teaches has supported my son's natural development; like letting him roll, crawl, walk, etc, at his own natural pace as opposed to propping him up or helping him in ways that might by-pass his own learning & discovering. It's been such good practice to learn to let them figure things out on their own and resist the temptation to "help" or interrupt their natural curiosity and frustration as they learn new skills and limits. Of course we also get plenty of practice of setting boundaries for and with our children as well. This group has really helped my partner & I have a healthy and balanced parenting style and reduced our stress as new parents. The community of babies and parents has also been super sweet; you don't have to do this alone! Christina is experienced, knowledgable, and very encouraging. I highly recommend working with her!

My work is inspired by Magda Gerber's Educaring® Approach (RIE®). This Approach encourages trust in the infant for knowing how and when to develop. We caregivers do not consider it our responsibility to "teach" children how to move, play, or learn. Instead, it is our responsibility to provide a safe environment conducive to self-initiated play and discovery. The Approach places emphasis on the quality of the nurturing relationship between caregiver and child, and has many specific suggestions for how to make that relationship as respectful and cooperative as possible. Parents using the Educaring® Approach report significant a decrease in the perceived burden of parenthood, and a corresponding increases in their confidence and enjoyment as parents. Children raised with this Approach are emotionally aware, confident, graceful, creative, independent, and secure in their sense of selves. I offer RIE® certified classes such as Before Baby™ and Nurturing Nanny. I also offer sleep consulting, parent coaching, nursery design/babyproofing, workshops, and individualized nanny training.
