We stopped by on a Sunday morning in early October, and we were absolutely SHOCKED at the amount of people here! This is definitely the spot for families with young kids - and even though we don't fall into the category, we still had a pretty fun visit! We brought our dog with us (because we called ahead and they are dog-friendly!) but if we would have known how crowded it would be, we certainly would have left him at home since he gets anxious around lots of people. Everyone we interacted with that worked there was friendly! They seemed well-staffed for how busy they were - and I definitely appreciated the extra parking attendants. We opted to pick pumpkins ourselves, which included a hayride. This took us through much of the farm, which was beautiful and well kept! They even had fun facts on little signs scattered along the route. The best part of the visit was the actual pumpkin picking. They provide you with garden shears, and you physically get to remove your pumpkin from the vine. We had a lot of fun roaming around in search of the best gourd available - and I can't say I've ever had a pumpkin experience quite like this one. We would have ordered some food from the snack shack, but long lines led us to opt for some kettle corn to-go from a different vendor. No problems there - I'm always happy when there's kettle corn involved. All in all, we had a pretty good time, and I would consider visiting again if my little niece and nephew were in town!

After showing our ticket, we were directed to the play area where they had a mini petting zoo of some cows and goats, a corn launcher, a corn pit, huge slides and a field of pumpkins to choose from. I was lucky enough to take my 3 1/2 year old nephew and by the time we left, we were WORN OUT! They sent a gator out to shuttle us and our pumpkins back to the parking area and we were glad to plop after the day's adventure. We will definitely be returning before the end of the season!

The animals were great as you could ride a horse pet and feed many varieties of chickens ducks rabbits a camel and goats and other animals. My daughters loved riding the horse and took many trips on it back and forth in the yard. It was very fun and the people that were working were very nice and friendly. Great times all around

While it maybe a little small in size compared to other parks, this one packs in a lot of…read moreinteresting stuff! It is located adjacent to the Ohio river near the small town of Chilo. There is a boat ramp, which was a very popular spot on the Sunday we visited. There is also a museum which was open on Saturdays. A lot of history is associated with Chilo lock 34 and the river around it. It once managed wicket locks (an intriguing type of river control system worth reading about) for the river. Even if the museum is closed, there are six stops around the outdoor area of the museum with signs explaining its very interesting history. A plaque marks the high level mark of the historic 1937 flood. A nice playground was adjacent to the building the museum was located in. Two yurts are available to rent, which was a unique feature. There is a covered picnic area. We decided to walk the riverfront trail. It was a very peaceful, wooded, and scenic trail that followed the river for a while and then circled back inland. Along the trail were a couple of ponds and each had a small shelter with a bench where you could bird watch. A sign listing pictures and names of birds was located at each shelter.

This park is right along the river and has really nice panoramic views of it, along with various other unique areas. As far as the main park, there are several parking areas, picnic areas, a playground, and a boat launch. There is quite a large museum but it didn't seem to be open on this day. There are many benches overlooking the water. There are fully plumbed bathrooms here. To the left side of the park there are Yurts that can be rented and then a nature preserve. The nature preserve is home to quite a few beginner level trails. Some of them run along the river, while others go around a lake. The lake trail has several overlook shelters from which to watch wildlife. There is also a marsh area with little docks to walk out on, a grassy field that has a viewing tower (currently under repair), and plenty of wildlife! All of the park is well maintained and clean!

I had a great experience with Yogoat Cincy at their recent event at Streetside Brewery - Goat Yoga…read more The evening started with getting checked in, and then setting up our mats (bring your own). Our instructor then talked to us about what to expect... that while it is a Yoga Class, it is more about the goats. The class was fun and had easy enough poses and flow for a newbie yet still fun for an experienced yogi. The goats walk around freely while you are doing the poses. There is a handler that entices them with milk to walk around the room and interact. There is another handler that is cleaning up any messes made by the goats (she did a great job of this, lets remember they are farm animals folks!) Of course during the class you can break pose and take pictures, or perhaps there will be a goat on your back! The yoga part of the class lasted about 30 mins, leaving us 30 mins to strictly interact with the goats. They were very well cared for and friendly. There was also a very sweet Standard Poodle that socialized with everyone! At the end we received a pen, magnetic flash light, and little Yogoat card. A pint of beer came with the ticket too! This is for sure a must try experience if you like animals, and want to try something new!

Upon arrival we set up our yoga mats, and they were beginning to get the goats out. The goats were very friendly and began to wander around the room. The instructor was very friendly and down to earth and led a laid back and easy to follow class. As the class was going on the goats wandered around amongst the participants. They had additional staff members walking around to clean up after the goats. After the class was over we had an opportunity to have some photo ops with the goats, including having the goats stand on our backs. It was a very fun class, and if you love animals I definitely recommend it.
