The Lodge has washer and dryer as well as a hot tub. We used them all with no issues. Do be aware that you don't go anywhere too quickly which is one of the reasons we liked it here. There are stores and such in town but you're not just run into town willy-nilly. We found the owners to be very welcoming and accommodating and will most likely be back again. I know this because we had such an awesome time we booked another night! The last night we had to switch rooms and the traffic on the new room/view of the road the resort is off of is loud! Nevertheless the staff was nice, all updated furniture & appliances.(not that I care about that) small shower. But the rooms with odd numbers have the mountain views and they are breath taking. The diner that is built in also has the best French toast I've ever encountered. If you like sea food - GET the TROUT ... It's always freshly caught right in the next town called Andrews. No issues until we check in when the management claimed we can have the service dogs during our stay, caged or with us at all times. We of course had no idea of this last minute demand and do not have a cage nor have we ever been told by any other establishment to have our set iced dogs in crates if left unattended. We have travel from Colorado to Florida for almost a decade with our service k9's. Mind you we travelled 6 hours for this trip. Once in the room for the evening the only bed in the cabin was as broken. The bed frame was broken in two pieces and collapsing in the middle, rendering it unusable. We called/text the manager/owner at the time of the incident , 11pm and the number we were provided . We received no response or reply. We slept on the floor until the next morning and still no manager contacted us. We called again the next morning at 0800 and got the owner and told her the situation and we are checking out early because of the above. Her exact words were, "ok" "I'll send maintenance". We waited for maintenance and they never showed. We finally left. No offer for any compensation for our subpar accommodations, no apologies for the terrible experience. In fact we got charged for the entire stay!!! Of 2 days yet only stayed one horrible night. Just disgusted. They are not pet friendly as claimed and lack professionalism and a basic sense of duty to their business and customers. The management was informed via cell/text at the time of incident no response at anytime. We had to contact them. It's ironic management responded to this review faster then a call for late night service. At no time were we contacted back from management for the service/ maintenance issue.

I am sitting now on one of three decks overlooking the river on 1.3 acres and have a breathtaking view of nature. I can hear the sounds of the river from anywhere on this property. One of the decks is screen enclosed with a couch, rocking chairs and a high top table with chairs. We are in the middle of nowhere. This home is very secluded and I love it! The representative Christy- was extremely helpful from the very beginning ; making sure everything was in order for us when we arrived. She even left a goody basket with a nice bottle of wine, munchies, salami, hot chocolate and marshmallows and popcorn. Every room in this home faced the Horseshoe River and the amazing view of nature. There is a private walk down to the river where another deck waited for us. It was easy getting down but a major work out to get back up. The house is stocked with everything you would need to just hunker down, make your own meals and never leave (until it was time to go). Oh, you would need to get your own groceries ;). Just give me a bottle of wine and a charcuterie board and I'm set. This place is beautiful and 5++. We stayed in the Honeymoon Deluxe for a much needed getaway. It was perfect! We would not…read morehesitate to stay again. We were only there for a weekend, so we didn't use the kitchen, dvd player, etc. But, we did use the hot tub! Nights and mornings were in the 50's and breezy (aka cold wind!) and the hot tub was great for both morning and night. The creek running past is calming and drowns out any sounds from town. The convenience of the location with the privacy, make this cabin perfect. As others have commented on their website, the cleanliness was amazing! The hot tub was already hot when we showed up and there was a treat in the fridge, yummy! The drive to Cherokee is easy, and passes by Bearmeats Indian Den, one of the few shops with real hand crafted goods. Be sure to stop by there. The furniture was comfortable. Furniture and décor is typical styling for a rental cabin, but in much better shape than many I have seen. The pictures are true to what is there. I slept so soundly in the bed, I didn't even wake during the rainstorm. The kitchen, although we didn't use it, was well stocked with pots, pans, etc. needed for cooking. Plenty of silverware, plates, cups, and mugs for 2-4 people. Washer and drier were great to have available. We used the dryer and it worked fine. We did not use the grill, but there is one available. There is one flaw, and that is the shower. It is small. My husband is 6' and ~170lbs and it was tight. The shower served its purpose, but if you are larger, consider one of their other cabins. This shower would not deter us from coming again, we absolutely would! I just want to include that so others can pick which cabin is perfect for them. Madeline clearly takes pride in her cabins and will gladly help you pick out the right one. When I called, I had it narrowed down to 2 and she told me more about each. She wanted to make sure we loved it as much as she does.
