Wildheart Nature School offers transformational experiences in the beautiful wild lands of Central Oregon. We teach a variety of classes and camps year-round for children, teens, and adults. At Wildheart, we believe that every adventure into the woods is an exercise in imagination and opens the door for a compelling story to be woven. Our students learn how to speak the language of nature that is innate to their ancestral heritage, giving them access to a world of mystery, adventure, and discovery. Popular themes include Witches and Wizards, Dragon Riders, Mythic Mermaids, Juniper Jedis, Wilderness Survivors, and much more!
"The other day, my kids were arguing with one another and my daughter said, 'I'm going to go sit in my sit spot to calm down.' I cannot imagine a better gift for our children than the realization that they have the tools to solve their problems by going within. Thank you for your amazing teachings!"

History
Established in 2012.
Wildheart Nature School was created after Amara Dreamer was asked to start offering nature-based homeschool classes to two families in Bend in the fall of 2011. The program grew little by little into a year-long business with multiple classes and camps.
Meet the Business Owner: Amara D.
As a lover of nature, Amara Dreamer teaches connection and respect for the natural world in all of her pursuits. Amara's nature experience includes farming edible and medicinal plants, facilitating classes to preserve indigenous and natural life ways, working for a wilderness protection non-profit, backpacking, undergoing nature-based rite of passage initiations, and spending a lot of time simply being in outdoors. A student of wisdom traditions from North and South America, Amara holds a Bachelor's degree from Arizona's Prescott College, with a competence in Cultural Anthropology and a breadth in Environmental Studies. In alignment with the college's mission to promote social justice and environmental sustainability, Amara focuses much of her time on social and environmental education for children in her community. She believes in bringing people the opportunity to develop an intimate understanding of nature that will help them live in harmony with the earth.
