Big deal, rented out a park field house, caterer, scary guy (instead of clown), scary bounce house, and Bahar. Yep that's right, she set up the back drop in the field house, and shot (with a Cannon, not a gun) all the kids in their costumes. So F-in cute. All the kids could get a copy. I think they are on her web sight under Zeke's birthday. But she was so great with the kids. Second she did some table top food promo shots for me. Uh... she made my food look better then in real life. She has a great eye. And I know she really likes table top because she's is a perfectionist. And what ever object is sitting under those lights doesn't get tired. And she can shoot till dawn or till she likes it, which ever comes first. And last something very special and dear to me. My niece's (blood) Bat Mitzvah. Bahar shot the day before the event at the Synagogue the family and solo portraits. The picture of my niece reading from the Torah is my favorite. Booking the company was simple after an informational call. We had the option of choosing our individual DJ or filling out a survey and being matched with someone when our event got closer. We chose the latter and got paired with Nathan. We then filled out an in-depth survey about our tastes and preferences for each portion of the day and reviewed that with Nathan on a video call a couple of weeks before our wedding day. Nathan did a spectacular job on our wedding day. He was really familiar with our venue and closely followed the plan we came up with for pre-ceremony, ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and reception. I was especially grateful that he trimmed down all of our chosen songs for grand entrances and planned dances (at our request!) so that we didn't have to do that ourselves. We got so many compliments on the song selections from our friends/family. Nathan kept the dance floor going the entire night. We had a relatively smaller group at 65 guests, and given that, I was admittedly a little nervous about the party vibe lasting, but it ended up being the complete opposite! The energy didn't die down for a single second, and we all had so much fun!

We just received our photos from our son's third birthday year, and they are super cute. We were wrangling a three-year-old, a Rhodesian Ridgeback-boxer-beagle and a pitbull, and she made everything look relaxing and joyful. All three babies had fun and looked good. So did my shy husband and I. Laurie also did some light retouching at my request, and the results looked natural and beautiful. She is exceptionally good at retouching. She is personally a sweetheart as well. I am so glad I met her 11 years ago, and I hope to come back to her at least every year. She always blows us away!
