My hubby and I applied for this place. The older lady who showed us around made us feel so welcome but the manager not so much! We were informed by the manager here that our credit was very very low which wasn't the case because when we checked just earlier it was 600! We went back and forth with them and I just felt the manager was coming up with Bull$&@? to not let us get in. We decided we didn't wanna live somewhere the manager can't treat people fairly so we looked elsewhere and found a nicer apartment. We were prospective renters, visited a 3 bedroom apartment, the grounds and applied for a credit check. But then we read the reviews, talked to locals, saw other options and decided to not rent with them. Think twice before going there. They do not charge a deposit but they do charge a credit check of about 75 per person (even if you are a married couple) and charge about 220 in application fee. All of which are non-refundable. Dishonest management. They claimed they were holding the apartment for us when we never signed a lease or even officially applied for a lease or sent them proof of employment, all of which is needed for the application to be processed and to move in!!! Very dishonest. Refused to refund the application fee. My opinion, better to pay a deposit, as at least it is refundable. Located near the train tracks and not far from low income housing. People in the city all say this is a sketchy place to be and management is very difficult to deal with. There are other much better options in the city. read more

Since there was only one other review for these apartments, and it was by someone who had never lived here, I decided to add my own. We moved to Thomasville in the summer when my husband got a new job. We were put up in a hotel, and knew very little about the city. We checked several apartment complexes, and were looking at spending another 2 weeks at least in a hotel until we came to Wildwood. They were able to get us into an apartment within a couple days, as they had just completed remodeling one. It didn't fit what we were looking for exactly, but it was better than a hotel room. Based on my experience, their application fees are excessive. They do charge you for both people, even if you're married, which I've never encountered somewhere else. We also paid to put a hold on the apartment, but that is normal, and it went towards our rent. Once an application is processed, you never get an application fee back. The fee is the cost of processing it, not a guarantee that you'll be accepted. The apartment we ended up with is a two bedroom for just about $700 a month. Size wise, we were paying 650 for an apartment half this size in Indianapolis. The master bedroom can fit probably two king sized beds. We have a large sectional in the living room with an ottoman. We have a queen sized bed in the second bedroom with a computer desk and computer chair. It's very spacious, and each apartment has a patio or balcony. Our apartment happens to look out on the train tracks, and the Covington crossing. The train runs at least once most nights, and blares its horn each time it gets to the road. With the windows all closed, it's not loud enough to wake us up. With the windows open, it's loud enough to bother me when I'm awake, and shake my fist at it for interrupting my shows, but my husband and I still sleep through it. It doesn't shake the building or anything. As far as management, we have had zero problems, and they've been exceedingly pleasant to deal with, even when our requests were ridiculous, or we had confusing problems. We had a problem with our water heater that took several days of return visits to figure out, and we'd think it was fixed one day and find a problem later that night. They would always come back first thing in the morning. We have a spot on the balcony that the wasps enjoy and my husband's allergic and I'm disabled, and I'll call up to ask maintenance to come out and spray them. It's kind of silly to send out maintenance for something like that, but they're willing to do it for us because they care. Maintenance never takes more than the following day to show up. They're incredibly competent. The landscaping is beautiful and maintained. Pest control sprays every month. I think I covered everything. read more

Wildwood is a great place to live. The property is well maintained and the apartments for their age being built in 1988 are in excellent condition. The office staff is very courteous and respectful. Work requests are handled promptly and professionally. Although it is located close to the train track, it is not a problem as the train is infrequent and only during the day when it does come through. It is located close to shopping and dining. A short drive into downtown Thomasville. It is a nice quiet and clean community. Have seen some bad reviews of the place but those are more than 5 years old. As of 2018 Wildwood apts is a great place to live. read more

The front office staff are absolutely phenomenal. Brenda, Jan, and Brooke were extremely attentive. They made sure that maintenance requests were handled in a timely manner. All of my requests, which I only had a few, were handled in 24 hours or less. The maintenance staff are also phenomenal as well. I stayed here for two years and only relocated because of my job. I have lived at Wildwood for almost a year. The staff is management staff is extremely rude and until the last couple months when they started making a calender, there were several occassions where I would come home to find out that they had entered my apartment without any warning or permission. Also keep your eyes open to the leasing agreement. This is the only place where I have ever seen a 12 month lease only last 11 months. Also in the leasing agreement, it notes that you must give a 60 day notice as to whether you will renew the lease or not, and for every day after 60 days you incur a penalty. Well if I agreed to a 12 month lease assuming it would actually be 12 months long, why would I bother giving my notice before then? They called me leaving a snotty voicemail saying that my 60 day timeframe was up 3 months before I thought my lease was up. These people are just plain rude and have ruined my experience of my time here. read more
