They resell carpets from Shaw and dealing with a warranty claim is more than difficult! The story- I tested the sample for bleach resistance. About 2 yrs after installation, I had to add bleach to my cleaning water. The carpet lost color. Meh, OK. The carpet was matted and not cleanable by 5 yrs in on a 10 yr warranty. I pulled the carpet out and put in hardwood. The store owner hemmed and hawed. Somehow it was MY fault and they're not going to honor any warranty issues. I will go to Echo Flooring next time. The buyer there says that dealing direct with Shaw, they have had fantastic warranty service. Buying through Carpet One, you get nada.

They are a first class home improvement contracting company that does superior work and craftmanship. I moved to a new home on the water in Suffolk County NY in 2023. The interior of the home was in great shape after a major rebuild caused by Hurricane Sandy in 2012. However, the vast back deck and bulkhead wall was in critical need of replacement. I only took on this project and home purchase because I knew that Domenick and his crew were the answer to getting this work done in a first class and top notch manner. Otherwise, I never would have bought this house given the challenges of building a very large deck right on the South Shore water of Long Island. Domenick took on the responsibility from day one through completion. He began by interviewing and selecting a local bulkhead replacement contractor and oversaw their work from tearing down the existing 30 year old bulkhead and several old decks laid on top of each other that were collapsing into the water. Domenick worked closely with them to ensure that the new bulkhead (sea wall) was built to his specifications and quality. It came out great. Domenick then interviewed and hired a company to haul several truckloads of dirt and sand to build back the fill on the back side of the bulkhead which would serve as the foundation for the underside of the deck. He then interviewed and found a company that drills helical piles into the bedrock which would provide the support for the deck and house foundation to sit on. This was a critical part of the project as the water is literally right where the new deck would sit on and was critical that these helical piles would screw into the bedrock some 16 feet down to provide the necessary strength to hold the house and deck. Once this was done Domenick worked with the Township and County to secure all necessary permitting. In early June of 2024 Domenick and his crew began his hands on work on the jobsite. The scope of work he and his crew did was massive. They built a complete system under the home to drain water during storms and high tides to ensure the foundation slab under the house remained dry. His strategy combined installation of smart drainage vents, dehumidifiers and fans which working together keep the home foundation moisture free. His crew then purchased and installed a comprehensive home security system including cameras and motion lighting that built an impenetrable shell around my property. They then secured all marine grade lumber and decking, fencing and lighting for the deck construction. Domenick and his crew worked from early in the morning through sunset as well as Saturdays constructing the most wonderful 80 foot long by 16 foot wide composite deck which has become the showplace of my home. He also built a boardwalk and dock for my boat complete with fresh running water and electricity onto my deck to service the boat as well as to intergrade it with the entire deck space. He listened to all of our wish list and provided great options and solutions along the way which we are very appreciative of as it resulted in a stunning backyard which we will enjoy the rest of our life. I cannot stress enough how well Domenick took full ownership and control of this project and always looked out for our best interests. It is because of him and his crew that I am given the highest compliments from friends, family and ever boat owners passing by my property on the water. I cannot recommend Artisianal Finishes and Domenick for your home improvement needs no matter how big or small a project you have. I have done both with him and it is a first class experience from start to finish.
