This has been re-branded as Wiko's in the past few years, and it is still as cheap as fabulous as all the other reviews say. Stratford has very much become one side of the tracks or the other......the one side being the Westfield - Olympic Village side (which admittedly, is where I live), and the other..old Stratford. Sure the newness and shininess of the re-vamped Olympic Village is slick and fabulous, but damn, sometimes you just need a bargain. And Westfield mall is not the place for it. I really like Lakeland but..... Gardening stuff, home stuff....Big patio planters for £6? 6 wine glasses for £3!! Pretty decent greeting cards for £1? Domestos toilet cleaner for £1? Fake eyelashes for £1?! Tea tree face wipes for 50p? A patio set for £60? Mop buckets, drills, picture hooks, designer coloured wall paints? oh yesssss!!! I love House of Fraser, John Lewis, Neal's Yard and L'Occitane - but if it's the real basics you want, you can get them here. read more

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this Wilko's. It literally has pretty much anything and everything you could ever need and all at reasonable prices and of a reasonable quality! Sure it's no John Lewis quality but when you're looking for cheap and cheerful I head to Wilkinson, faithful and reliable Wilkinson. Looking for home appliances? Wilko's has it! Looking for craft material? Wilko's has it? Looking to paint your home a new shade of blue? Wilko's has your shade. Looking for shampoo and conditioner? Wilko's has it! I could go on and on... My partner and myself are just about to move into our new house and today we took a trip to Wilko's to pick up the housing essentials. We were able to get pretty much everything we needed within an hour and for £250 - this included glasses, chopping boards, a mirror, cleaning products, cushions, key holders, mugs and much much more. I'd also like to note that the staff have always been very friendly, today the security allowed us to take the trolley outside so we could fill up our taxi without struggling with all our bags! This is a great place to pick up next to anything. I once went in for a pad of lined papar and came out with a toilet seat and a pot of blue paint!!! An absolute life saver of a store. It is situated in the shopping centre. A little out of the way, at the quiet end of the shopping centre but is really easy to get to. It has Stratford station about 5 minutes walk away, so there is a good link to the central, jubilee and mainline services. This is a great place to shop if you are a student or even if you are just looking for a bargain. they do actually sell everything you could want. If you need something and cant think of a place to find it, the chances are that wilkinsons sell it. If you are looking for quality then i wouldnt shop here. I once bought an alarm clock for £1 and it lasted a day. i didnt even get to hear the alarm go off. If you only have £20 but need to plan a party, then this is the place you should go as £20 will go far. read more

I love visiting Wilkinsons. I'm like a kid in a toy shop. There is just about everything you could hope for, toiletries, diy, gardening, food, furnishings and all at really reasonable prices. Be aware though that you will most probably come out with stuff you had no intention of buying just cause the price was good. I love coming here at christmas, there is a large selection of toys, gift packs and loads of decorations, trees, wreaths etc. No excuse not to be colourful at christmas read more

I love Wilkinson stores.They sell products for the home & garden along with discounted beauty / toiletries. I think they're MUCh better than Poundstretcher stores - bigger range of products but comparable prices. Stratford store is big - although bit of a walk from the tube station - have to walk through the shopping mall complex - which is always busy. read more

Well known brand of stores. Lots of cheap products there that are real known brands. Wilkinson's always has a few amazing deals that no-where near by have. It i a very large store and i now en stocks food which means even more savings on the weekly shop. The staff are helpful and will help you find anything and they all seem to know the shop like the back of their hand, they will go away from what they are doing and show you to the product you are looking for. overall, good shop, good prices and friendly staff - fantastic! read more

I have an unhealthy obsession with Wilkos. Asides from the fact that it is morbidly cheap you can literally get anything here. This is a large store that sells everything even food now sauces, milk cheese and ham and at a reasonable price. I love this shop as you can pick up most household items that you need. I buy my plants , my duvet sets and my cutlery from here and its stuff that actally lasts for quite a while.The only thing that lets the shop down is the rude security man who tried to bar my 9 year old nephew from the shop. read more

I can see why Woolworths shut down. There was a time when if I needed something and I wasn't sure where to buy it from (anti-mould paint, cotton and needles, for example) I would go to Woolworths, but now I go to Wilkinsons. On top of selling just about every household item you could need, including kitchenware, bathroom items, bedding and so on, Wilkinsons also sells cleaning products and health and beauty items at very reasonable prices, usually mush cheaper than in supermarkets. They also sell a small selection of food stuffs, mainly dry, again at quite good prices. read more

It has recently opened a new grocery area were the sell fresh food including bread this is very successful for Wilkinson and Wilkinson also has a pick and mix area it has all your sweet tooth necessities.
