Downstairs is aisles and aisles of food, home items, school and office supplies, toys, medicines, a Pharmacy and a small electronics section in the very front. I love the random clearance sections throughout the shop. Some items gets reduced to pennies! We saw sausage rolls for 2p! Crazy cheap! Asda has great deals and there's a wide variety of products. It's open 24 hours except for one night a week. There's also a petrol station on-site.

What I like about this place is despite being a very standard supermarket store, it has authentic touches like a nice deli, and a butchers shop, which actually looks like a butchers. The sheer amount of times The Brunette and I have stopped off here from a trip to Liverpool to buy wine ready to consume at her Southport abode. It literally has everything you could ever want, and speaking of the wine, you're bound to get some amazing special offers in that area with the likes of half price and three bottles for a tenner. I was kittysitting at the time and was more than happy to find a fully stocked pet section with a highly varied range. I bought little Hendrix a toy that was a fish on a string on a stick. You know how stuff like that drives kittens loopy. He might have disembowelled the toy in a way only a cat can (you know what cats are like, they have a very sneaky cruel streak dogs could never muster) by pulling its stuffing out through its eyes, but heck, he loved it. This Asda has a huge homeware section upstairs along with manifold electrics and all sorts of stuff you'll suddenly find a need for. As well as this it has a great reduced section, both food and sale, and I've always loved Asda deli stuff. Pots of dip for less than a quid, good dip too, heck yes! Plenty of lovelies like sundried tomatoes and coleslaw too. Enough gushing, I love it. It might be an evil supermarket but with prices like this, it's one of the lesser of the evils. Plus it's remarkably well kept too. Compare it to the Moss Side one, you'll have a field day.

They constantly ignore the Councils rules and regulations when it comes to delivery trucks and have coming past everyone's property along the the streets throughout every night, regardless of the hour. They allow folk to tie their barking pets outside whilst the customers do a 'shop', which can take a long, long time. Customers take note : your lovely dog can be stolen and used for bait in dog fights! How can you be so cruel? If your pet barks outside a store, it is distressed and it is telling you so! If you return to that place where you put your dog, and it's not there, enjoy feelings of guilt for the rest of your life! It is probably being chewed up by now! When I complained and explained this to Asda, and asked them not to encourage it by leaving a water bowl out, their response was that they would rather customers choosing to leave their dogs there at least had a drink! What? Like having their last meal before a death sentence? How considerate! So yes, Asda are pretty good with customers. Just not very clued in with pets and the heavy truck loads through the night.

You see it's surrounded by a host of other stores with this one being the focal point of attention. As I discover Blackpool more I like it more, slowly but surely I am dispelling a tarnished image I have of it and it's growing on me. Unlike other Asda stores this has a nice deli/cafe which you;d actually want to sit down and eat in!! The toilets were immaculately clean and again "usable" which isn't something you can say for a lot of them. The different sections were all massive as was this whole place, and after Manchester's walmart (near the city stadium) this is the biggest one I have been to. Blackpool has an Asda walmart people!!

While I wasn't able to get the item I came in for, I was pleased with the selection overall, I found them to be one of the better supermarkets in the area for overall choice/selection in both grocery and home, the store had a nice, modern feel to it too which I liked. There is also an upstairs area with a Cafe and Clothing Section, so the store is HUGE. I do think the staff could have had better knowledge of where to find items, after asking someone where to find something, I later found out we were in the wrong area of the store and they didn't stock it anyway, he did seem super friendly though. The worst part about this store for me was they seemed to have blockages down every aisle from warehouse cages to even a warehouse truck, it seemed to be in the worst possible positions, luckily the store was large so this didn't have a huge effect, but it felt like I was in the middle of a construction site in parts of the store. My checkout experience was quick and easy using Sainsbury's Smartshop, it would have been good to see them have more bags at the front of the store in order to support this. 4* - Very good supermarket in Leigh, it is spacious and modern with a fairly good selection of most items.

This store is a decent store but isn't a great place to do a weekly shop mainly due to the stock there, but on the other hand i does have some cool things about it, including being the home to Blackburn's Amazon Lockers which are quite a cool way to receive and return parcels when sold directly from Amazon. This supermarket also has a cafe. In some ways, it just feels like it has been left behind, walking up to the supermarket in a way feels like walking into an abandoned building, there is so much empty space and sadly it just doesn't feel nice. Overall, the selection in stores is quite poor for most items, even the gluten free selection was poor as well as the selection for other items as well. The staff didn't seem too helpful either, and that's if I could even find them! The game selection was so poor, there was probably about 4 or 5 games with some prices of good value and some prices highly overpriced, but it was so few in number they might as well not have it, and it was just a fraction to what I would normally see in a supermarket elsewhere, for example this game selection was smaller than what you would see for just one console in another supermarket. Frustrating. Overall, the store not only lacks the feel of a good supermarket, it has a poor selection too with some items which were highly overpriced, while also taking poor service into account I sadly feel the only two strong points for this branch of Morrisons is the location and having Amazon Lockers, which in its' own isn't enough to warrant anything over a single one star, in all honesty the Amazon Lockers would even be better to be located across the way in The Mall.

Great quality and a very good price. The dvd and cd selection is great. They always get the latest releases and they always beat hmv for prices.
