I can't say enough good things about Holly & Roger, the owners of Union Photography…read more First, they were so gracious about meeting my husband Ian and I before the wedding to make sure we had all the planning details right, and accepted our request to have them meet our parents. One time we even hung out with them in their cute studio drinking lattes for 2 hours talking about Switzerland! They were unwaveringly prompt in replying to questions, professional, organized about what we needed them to do for us, and always offered a smile and a sunny disposition. At the event, Roger literally ran around to make sure he used up every second possible to get in good photographs. Ian and I didn't have to be in charge of what photos we wanted - Roger knew beforehand and herded us around to get great pictures. He's clearly experienced, as he made sure we looked good for each pose before he snapped the shot and so we didn't have to stand around long for each picture. He also was great at commanding Ian's boisterous family! Holly obviously loves what she does and is so sweet in working with her clients. She's always grinning, giggling, or shedding a genuine tear from the happiness of her job. She got some really great candids of our guests! All in all Holly & Roger were great to hang out with on the day, and that can mean a lot since you spend so much time near them. The photos are great quality, and we've gotten lots of compliments on their art. I definitely see the value in what we paid for - worth every penny.

We met them initially for a consultation and quote, and during this time Phoebe and the team were extremely thorough, answering any questions we had and taking their time going through the type of work they provide. After seeing their style and comparing them with a few other local vendors we knew they were the right fit for us. I also wanted to minimize the number of overall vendors i worked with, so by Hera being a full-serviced film company where i could get all of this in one place was a plus for me. Communication was clear and easy throughout the planning process and they were very accommodating with any changes. They took the time to know us as a couple, which showed clearly through the photos and videos they took. Josh, our photographer, made us also feel very comfortable during our photography sessions which was a huge deal, considering we're not the natural type of couples when it comes to these things! On your wedding day you get caught up with so many things that sometimes you aren't able to see and absorb everything at that moment in time, and Hera was able to capture those moments of my friends and family when i wasn't there to see it myself. Now that i look back at my photos (including photobooth pictures!) and videos, I'm able to reminisce on that day and have those memories with me for years to come in exceptional quality. We had our pre-wedding photoshoot done with Charlie's Studio and we absolutely love all the…read morepictures! Our experience with them was super great right from the start. Ivy was very helpful and thorough with explaining how the whole process works and showed us all the different packages that they offer. We did look at a few other studios as well, but ultimately picked Charlies because they aligned best with what we were looking for. We chose the "Prime Collection" package which included everything we needed and the pricing roughly aligned with the other studios we visited. Communication was very prompt and professional during the entire process! We chose to have our photoshoot during April to capture the cherry blossoms. Unfortunately, the cherry blossoms bloomed early this year so we missed the prime window, but that was entirely our own fault because Ivy was very organized and did try to rebook us to an earlier date. Regardless, we still got all the photos that we wanted. Picking out the dress rentals was also a super fun experience. They have so many gorgeous wedding gowns and evening gowns to choose from and I was able to find exactly what I was looking for. Their selection of wedding gowns was definitely better than the evening gowns though, but luckily, they had a new arrival that I absolutely loved! The new arrival had an additional surcharge which was a little bit annoying but it was still worth it. They were able to alter both dresses to fit me perfectly for the shoot. Just before the photoshoot day, we were informed that there wouldn't actually be an assistant with us to help me change into the dress and swap out hair accessories, but we could add one for an additional $150 charge. This was the only negative aspect of our entire interaction with them, because I wish they were more transparent about it from the beginning. Everything else went very smoothly. I got to request my wedding makeup artist and used this photoshoot as my hair and makeup trial. The photographer and the photographer assistant were super nice and friendly and gave very clear directions throughout the day. They're also super familiar with all the best photo spots and we had a great time during our photo session. We got our edited photos back promptly around 3 weeks after the photoshoot and it was way more pictures than we expected, so that was super nice. Our fine touch-up photos were ready about a week after we made our selections and we have no complaints! Definitely recommend working with Charlie's Studio :)
