The breakfast buffet was better than average (thank you waffle machine). We had dinner there one night and it too was excellent. The room was way above average. Great shower, really comfortable bed and plenty of room. But the best part of our stay were the hotel employees. Everyone of them was friendly and professional. That said, a special call out to the guest experience manage, Jedrzej. We had a number of requests and he handled everyone one of them. A nicer manager you will never find. Overall, a wonderful stay!!!

We arrived a day early from our group so we had to make our way to the hotel from the airport on our own. We researched ahead of time and saw that there was a train that went to the stop right near the hotel. It was very easy and cheap (20 PLN or $6USD). The train was fast, smooth, and quiet. We had only a short walk across the street to the hotel. Upon arrival, the lady at the front desk was very welcoming. They already had our key card ready so it took no time to check in. They also offered some chocolate and a Krakow Obwarzanek (like a bagel but a bit harder). We stayed in room 327 which overlooks the entrance to the Galleria mall across the street. Oddly, you cannot hear street noise aside from the occasional tram but it's really very quiet. My only issue with the room is that the one wall that connects the bathroom and bedroom is frosted glass. So when one person is using the bathroom, the light shines into the bedroom and disturbs the other person if they are sleeping. The hotel is within a short walking distance to the Old Town, where pretty much everything you want to see/visit is located. Breakfast was included in our room rate and they serve a huge buffet of hot and cold items including a juicer and raw fruit to create your own masterpiece. I can't recommend this hotel enough - the rooms are clean with plenty of storage, the location is perfect, and the staff have been so pleasant and accommodating.

The Wyspianski is a large hotel, just a short walk from the Krakow main square and Jewish quarter. - So you're pretty much sorted for seeing the vital local touristy things if you stay here! The interior of the hotel is very plain and simple. It's all very white and clean and feels very much like a traditional hotel. But hey, when's that ever a bad thing? (It might have felt just a little generic for us because we'd been staying in a traditional Polish villa in the Zakopane mountains just a few days previously and nothing could really compete!) Our triple room was spotless, comfy and made for a pleasant stay. There's a quirky little bar on the first floor and whilst being small and quiet, we did enjoy many a shot of wisniowka there! (Oh how I miss that beautiful cherry vodka!) Staff are friendly, helpful and speak English if you haven't quite mustered the courage to give the Polish language a go! We didn't have any trouble during our stay other than our room card not working at breakfast but that was promptly fixed. All things considered, you're staying in central Krakow! Such great value!

Staff attentiveness is highly satisfactory though the young man with whom we checked out with seemed to have had some delays in doing so. It is possible that the young just needs a bit more training? This is one of the two reasons I couldn't give them 5 stars. The other reason is that one of the pillows they provided was stained. I tried to tell the young man and thought I got an "I'm sorry about that," I didn't feel like he understood how that could be gross to a guest. I really liked the layout of the room especially the bathroom and shower. It was quieter than expected considering how close it is to the airport. Its proximity to the train station which takes you to the old town is also convenient. Breakfast selection is wide though we wish they offered oats on top of cereal. The layout of the breakfast area could be better. They also have a water dispenser on every floor which was a nice touch. You could choose between still, sparkling or ambient. They provide a bottle that you could refill with. Overall, I recommend this location.

Being steps away from the Wawel Royal Castle, views of the castle from the rooftop bar is a big plus. Speaking of views, my hotel room view of the Vistula River was amazing. A box of Polish chocolates was a nice touch and I opted to choose the bottle of vodka as the welcome gift which I realized was overkill. I had access to the club lounge and the bar there is nicely stocked. The dinner menu at this lounge is also, so delicious. There are a variety of sandwiches, cured meats, cheeses, soups, main dishes and desserts that rivals restaurants around the area. Back on the location, if the Vistula River and Castle views aren't enough, the 5 - 10 minute walk to Old Town Krakow and maybe 15-20 min walk to the Jewish Quarter is so convenient.

It's the fabulous service, breakfast, and club access that makes it the best option in Kraków. We stayed in a corner deluxe suite right across from the Sheraton Club on the first floor. It was so convenient for us. We're early risers, and it's so nice to be able to just walk across the hall for coffee, tea, juice, and fruit. We also visited that lounge in the evening on a daily basis. The hot snacks served there are more like a meal. We had some delicious polish soups, pork meatballs, grilled chicken, and pasta dishes. The apple pie there is absolutely delicious. There were different desserts each day, and the staff were great in keeping the serving area clean and with their knowledge of wines. It was a great way to end the day. The breakfast bar and kitchen service were great. They cook your eggs to order and make omelets. There was always some kind of Mediterranean or Asian side dish available as well as traditional Polish sausage, breads, and pastries. The crisp vegetable samosas or crispy wonton bites were my favorite sides along with the grilled mushrooms and crispy hash browns. The buffet had just about everything. The fruit was fresh. More so than any buffet I've ever been to. I wish I had taken a picture of the watermelon. Our room was the perfect size for the two of us. It was very comfortable and clean. I was very happy with the water pressure in the shower, as well as the storage space. The air conditioning also worked well. No issues with accommodations whatsoever. The service was fantastic! My husband remembered how well they treated him when visiting back in 2002. That's why he recommended we stay here. He was so right. I wish I could name everyone on the staff. The ones we remember the most are Alicia and Peter. They were always so helpful and nice, but everyone was great. We wouldn't hesitate in booking this hotel again if we ever make it back to Kraków. It was such a great experience from beginning to end.

There are now two Indigo hotels in Krakow; this is the Indigo hotel in the old town. The other Indigo property opened recently by the castle. The check-in was amazing and Gabriel downstairs at reception was so nice and efficient and so helpful. He really made my stay so much easier especially when I extended a couple extra days. Patrick at reception was super and took care to fix my reservations when I extended the second time. And Karolina at the front desk was also great and super fast at check out. There's a really nice bar and casual restaurant in the lobby and they also have a Michelin recommended restaurant (it doesn't have a star, but it's recommended by them) in the hotel. They have a really pretty classic elevator that takes you up to your room. The rooms are bright and cheerful with traditional Polish patterns and colors as accents, plus a chandelier. The bathroom is small, but really well done and mine had beautiful colored tiles and a walk-in rain shower. What I really liked in the rooms is that they have a Nespresso machine and they refill the capsules daily. The beds are super comfortable. The location is fantastic and there's a wonderful traditional market next-door where you can get breakfast (try Fiu Fiu restaurant inside!) if you decide not to have it in the hotel. The market has lots of different food stands. That was one of the best parts of staying here. There are also 2 little traditional mini markets with soft drinks and things like that, about a block away. It's a really central location and it's quiet but right in the middle of everything. I highly recommend this boutique hotel, especially if you have IHG points!

The tour manager said they used to stay in a hotel on Rynek Główny, but it had no air conditioning, which is a must for Americans. Interestingly, the tour company has this description on the a/c at this hotel: "Air Conditioning may be operated on a seasonal basis, and with limited hours in season." At street level, they have a reception desk, a Polish restaurant Estragon, a bar, the Gold Cocktail Bar, and an outdoor sitting area. Our room is clean and functional.
