Been going to willamette dental since I was 12, had braces, fillings, cleanings, 6 month checkups. The thing is, after they moved locations they started becoming not as kind, impatient and not compassionate to patients and it's been unpleasant. Finally today I had a wisdom tooth extracted and I've had one pulled before at Owyhee oral & facial surgery, I had asked for my tooth before and after it was extracted three times and they said we'll make sure to get it to you but, as I was walking out and checked my bag of supplies they gave me, it was not there. I went back in and requested it and the front desk lady, Darian, walked into the back and did not come back with my requested tooth (FROM MY BODY) and told me they had already disposed of it into biohazard and can not retrieve it. I am beyond upset as they were incredibly stone cold the entire appointment and just made me feel not very welcome as I was trying to ease me mind over the situation of an extraction. Be prepared to wait on phone hold for long time, then get told they don't have space in next 2.5 weeks even for broken filling and pain

I LOVE Willamette! I truly no longer have dentist phobia after recovering care here. My dentist as a child and into my late teenage years was horrendous, and actually led to malpractice which resulted in a tooth rotting without my knowledge and had to get pulled. Willamette staff is kind and welcoming. They're extremely thorough and explain everything they're doing step by step. The office is exceptionally clean, and they're equipment is new, up-kept and clean. I'm so glad that I've been sent to this dentist and that I have such great insurance that provides me with amazing providers. It's such a good feeling walking in feeling comfortable when you used to be so scared before. Thank you, Willamette! I appreciate all of you here! read more

One of my crowns fell off while I was out of town, so I glued it on with temporary cement, which lasted until I could see the dentist. Willamette told me it would be around $97 to glue it with good glue to hold until they could make a new crown. After they glued it, they demanded payment of almost $200 instead of the original quote for temporary glue. That expensive glue job failed within a few hours. My complaints were unresolved. read more

it might be a cheaper dental plan but don't do it. You will end up paying for later. HORRIBLE dental care all the way around. I used to love the feeling after a cleaning, feeling fresh, smooth and clean. But after the cleanings here you don't feel any difference and they will only allow you to get one a year. They missed an obvious cavity my son had, even after pointing out to them the previous dentist said it needed to get fixed. I also had the Invisalign for almost 2 years. I was 100% compliant, and my teeth are not straight by any means. Not to mention the brackets they places tore up my gums. I finally just went somewhere else and I am so happy I did. I have used Willamette for my dental needs. I received dentures. I was having problems with my bottom dentures and called to get in. They would not make me an appointment. I owed them some money still. I feel it is wrong to not have seen me. I have been in so much pain. Mouth swollen, blisters and a cut about an inch long , hard to chew and talk. I don't want to put any stars. For over 2 weeks my husband has had a tooth ache. After 9 days he got an appt. That was after 3 phone calls, 2 unreturned messages. After xrays it was found he had an access In his jaw. The Dr was suppose to call in antibiotics and pain meds. After our 50 mile one way trip to pharmacy, nothing was called in. More phone calls to only get antibiotic and no pain meds. Wait another full week, and pain is worse. Antibiotics finished, and no one open Saturday to see him. Told to go to er. Dentists on call refuse to prescribe pain meds, even tho they can access records. Again, no one to see him or get an appt to check infection. We have to pay out of pocket to go to er and get imaging as we believe he may be septic. We will not be renewing Willamette for next year. I cannot believe how badly we have Been ignored. Dentist won't even calm back, they have receptionist do it. Shame on Willamette. No customer care at all. 2 dentists have left die to treatment of them. The actual dentists told us that. I can not stress enough how much we love Willamette! Everything about the facility and staff has been great. The staff is so amazing and personable. They take the time to explain the process of what they will be doing during your visit. My daughter is young and was terrified of the dentists office. Even the ones that specialize in children. She loves going now and she loves that all the staff are so nice to her. They are great at letting her know what to expect and explain step by step what they will be doing, during the visit. I would definitely recommend giving Willamette a try. It's easy to make an appointment and they have always made an appointment for us to be seen within a few days. I have never had to use it but they do provide emergency/after hours appointments as well. read more

Worst customer service and they said they take my insurance and got different bills for all my members of family for dental cleaning & called to resolve this issue over the phone and finally came to find out the doctor that saw us were out of network A year later and they have not resolved this issue. I came in today for an emergency visit due to jaw pain and tooth pain. At first, I was very pleased that Willamette in Boise, was able to get me in the same day. The little interaction I had with Dr Young, was enough to know that he had no genuine interest to help me. He took a look at my xray and did a test on my teeth to check for sensitivity to find which tooth was the issue. His demeanor was shocking. He was very impatient and patronized me. He did not provide me a full explanation of the procedure he was doing and what the next steps looked like for me (I had to initiate that conversation) He did not end up doing any work up because of the pain I was experiencing. His recommendation was to take the antibiotics and come back once I feel more relief. When I asked the front office to schedule an appointment, she advised me that the next appointment wouldn't be till June 20th. This was for an Emergency pulpectomy! I let her know that I can't wait that long due to my state of my tooth and infection. She advised me that she can put me on a waiting list and my antibiotics will give me some time. I asked if I could get an appointment at another facility and was told that I would need a consultation before any work can be done. I was confused as to why I would need a consultation if Willamette has my records and the state of my tooth should warrant a visit to perform a root canal. She proceeded to give me some policy jargon. I took the consultation in hopes that my upcoming appointment will be better than the one I had today. read more

I had to find a new dentist and found myself going to Willamette taking what ever dentist they gave me, which ended up being Dr. M Young. I went in for my first work needed and he and his assistant were an AMAZING team! They were both kind, they were both professional and just amazing! They did a cavity filling and it was painless, it was smooth, I left there in no time with ZERO issues. My teeth cleaning on my first visit was just as good, so far I am VERY happy with everyone I have seen there, from the receptionist to dentist. read more

The dentist and the staff are extremely good. However, I paid thousands of dollars to get my first set of dentures. I went back as many times as were allowed for adjustments and they have never fit good enough to eat with. Now that I have no more adjustments under my policy with them I would have to pay big bucks for further adjustments. I still can't eat with these teeth without getting painful sores on my gums. I'm VERY disappointed because I was looking forward to eating without pain from my teeth. And having my grandchildren see me with teeth. read more

I joined the dental plan via my company. I was told their offices are open on Saturday. Called in Saturday and receptionist didn't tell me that immediately she took all my info and then she says that only appointment office is open but dental office is not. Website also says they are open on Saturday.very disappointed by lack of clarity. I will switch back to my old plan read more

Let's just say I feel like I have a whole new mouth. The lady (I don't remember her name) that worked on my mouth was spectacular and her teeth were white and AMAZE-BALLS. She was very thorough on what she was doing, the savvy medical terms, and everything step by step which was super calming since I hate the dentist. I recommend this place they're awesome read more

I'm just going to share my story. I had an infected wisdom tooth that hit me Friday morning. I made an appt. w Dr Harris for Monday at 7am and I thought I could hold out until then. Saturday morning at 2am came and I was in pain like no other. Their receptionist told me if I needed to go earlier I could go to Meridian office which was open Saturday. I arrived there at 8am just hoping to be seen. I explained what was going on and 10 minutes later I was in the chair and getting x-rays with Dr. Dixon and his excellent assistant. They explained my infection, my choices of care and technique of removing my wisdom tooth. He explained that while oral surgeons do removals as well he felt confident removing mine given my anatomy around the tooth. A bit later the bad tooth came out and I was out of there by 1030 (although in some pain) on a Saturday with my dental misery behind me. I can't give enough thanks to not only Dr. Dixon but his assistant and the Willamette business model for being open and available on a Saturday for my care. That is what you call customer service. My husband started working for the State of Oregon and we got on Willamette dental. Before coming to them I had seen another dentist in the Nampa area with my insurance, they wanted to pull and do a root canal and crown on my eight year old son and six fillings, my 15 year old daughter they wanted to do 5 fillings and refer us to an orthodontist that was going to be about 6000.00 with everything from the dentist and ortho for my kids and I, I was looking at out of pocket $9000.00 and we get check ups every six months. I got an appointment with Willamette it cost me $15.00 and nothing more but $1500. for Braces for my daughter. My son did not need an extraction nor any fillings just a cleaning floride treatment and out the door. My daughter two little fillings never had to get a shot and she was in and out with cleaning and treatment fast and easy. Braces one time fee $1500.00 I have never liked the dentist office but now all of us love going because they are so nice and understanding of fears. I will hopefully never have to use a different dentist. read more
