f you want a top notch dental office this is the place to be! They were very efficient in getting me in quickly, I did not have to wait long for a new patient appointment. Dr. Eric Ballou is friendly, knowledgeable and professional. He has excellent bedside manner and puts all your fears at ease the minute he walks in the room. I came into the office because I needed a filling replaced but ended up needing a crown instead. I recently had another crown placed on a different tooth and had several problems with it. I was a bit skeptical of having crown placed on my tooth but Dr. Ballou explained how my tooth would benefit from having a crown placed and explained the whole process throughout treatment. He is also is very detail oriented and made sure that my crown was perfect before permanently cementing it. My entire experience Lake Harbor Dental was wonderful and I look forward to my next appointment with this office. Also big shoutout to Ivy and LeAnne! My family and I have been going to this dentistry for years, but the past few visits have been nothing but awful. They were constantly pushing and pressuring me and my brother into wisdom teeth extractions when it's something we need to make sure we can afford and if we can schedule. They didn't seem to even understand that. Then my most recent visit, they wanted to do x-rays, and I assumed insurance was going to cover because no one said otherwise. It turns out it wasn't going to be covered through insurance until next year. They then made me pay for it without explaining why I was being charged. I had to call and argue with the receptionist about the charges and how it was unacceptable that they were charging patients without telling them what it is with or without insurance. They did finally reverse the charges, but I won't be going back to them. read more

Dr. Ballou is the best. Not only is he a really nice guy, but visiting his office is like jumping forward in time!! He has some many new technologies and digital capabilities that I had never even heard of. I had no idea that it was possible to get a crown completely done in one day. I had a front tooth that had been cracked. I hated the way it looked. He told me that he could make it look brand new again that same day! The best part about it was that it was the same price as if I would have gone to another dentist who would have sent a mold off to some lab, leaving me with a temporary crown for a week or so. I just saw Dr. Ballou today for the first time. Coming from somebody who has spent years at the dentist, and has probably spent over $25,000 on his mouth, I must say that this dental office was the most modern, up to date and most efficient that I've been to. They do everything in-house from crowns, veneers to implants which meant I didn't have to return for a subsequent visit. It literally took him one hour to complete all of my work (crown and fillling) which in the past would have taken a week. I left with my permanent crown and it fits perfectly. Dr. Ballou made me feel very comfortable and explained everything to me in detail. He was able to answer all of my questions. I'm looking forward to returning to have a couple of more things done in addition to a couple of implants. I wouldn't go anywhere else to have an implant done after being in their office. read more

My experience at Lake Harbor Dental was excellent! I called on a Monday and made an appointment for the following Wednesday. When I arrived, I was promptly greeted by Joan, she shook my hand and I got started on my paperwork. I was called back right on time and I met Dr. Ballou for the first time in his office (nice touch). Dr. Ballou was courteous, professional and knowledgeable. The work that had to be done was explained using the latest technology and the cost was broken down so that I could understand the value of my insurance. Charged me hidden fees without my consent and lied to my face that my insurance was in-network and would pay for things when they wouldn't. Harassed and threatened me for months. Scheduled me appointments without my consent and charged me no-show fees for them. Overall a very negative dentistry experience. Lake Harbor Dental was absolutely amazing! Dr. Ballou and his staff were so professional I felt really comfortable there. They have a great area where the kids can hang out and play. It was perfect for my girls while they were waiting for me to finish up! I had a couple fillings to tend to and the device they used to hold your jaw open was incredible! Beware! They told it would be covered by insurance. Afterwards told me it's not. I didn't have the money to pay it off right away so they charged me $10 a month extra until I paid it off. It was $2000 by the end of it. Sheesh. No heart. No compassion. read more

After several consults with orthodontists and dentists, lot's of time and money spent on braces and a great deal of frustration from getting a lot of "no we can't do that....it won't work" or "yes we can do that" only to be told after braces were installed that they could not, I found DR. Eric Ballou. He took the time to understand what I wanted and after 2 office consults, we came to an agreement that he could do what I needed done and so the work began. So, right after I had my braces taken off, I found Dr. Ballou who put me in Invisalign and after 4 trays, we achieved the restructuring necessary to move to the cosmetic dentistry part. He completed that in one sitting and I was fitted for my retainers that same day as well. I am ELATED to say, he was able to do what no one else was willing or capable of doing and my smile looks amazing all thanks to his patience and ability to think beyond the box and beyond the nay sayers. I cannot say enough about Dr. Ballou. He is truly amazing as is his friendly staff. Thank you, thank you, thank you Dr. Ballou!!! Oh and he also does both ortho and dentistry so you don't have to shuffle around town for separate appointments. Simply AWESOME!!! read more
