I have been a patient for over 4 years and have always had insurance through the Military. I am getting deployed and my insurance with Tricare got messed up so they are showing me as not being covered, however my unit assured me that I would be covered once everything was straightened out with the military and would be back dated to October 1st. I would have been covered for my sons office visit, but North West Ohio Orthopedics is only concerned with making money and not the patient. I had an appointment set but they called me back about another appointment and informed me that I did not have coverage and asked if I wanted to cancel my appointment. Basically telling me they were cancelling my appointment in other words. At this point I was a little floored and upset instead of asking me about the insurance they just wanted to cancel my appointment. The military would have paid for the visit just like they have every other time. I am now in search of an office that I can trust my kids will be able to get an appointment while I am gone even if the Military messes up my insurance. Glad this happened now instead of when I was actually deployed.

I am not displeased with spinal adjustments by Dr. Piasecki. I am however not pleased with the…read morebilling department. I have a medicare advantage plan through Paramount Elite which covers up to 12 visits for spinal adjustments. It is a $20 co-pay at the time of the appointment. The billing department failed to bill Paramount Elite Plan and instead sent the claim to Medicare directly. Medicare does not manage my health care services, Paramount Elite does. I explained this to the billing department, but they still sent the billing directly to medicare. I have now received a bill from Findlay Family Chiropractic Clinic for all of my visits for adjustments, minus my $20 co-pays per visit. The statements says, self billing because insurance did not pay. I called Paramount Elite and they told me, that I would not have to pay this bill because they cover those expenses. I am now looking for a different chiropractic doctor which will bill my Medicare Advantage Plan and NOT medicare directly! Sharon in the office was extremely rude and unprofessional.
