This store is a must-visit whenever I go to Port Townsend -- I always walk away with at least one book in hand.

Absolutely love this shop, they've got everything from books, to board games, to MTG cards and…read moremore! They also have a small café inside. I always find something every time I go, and they have frequently had sales on books, i've gotten a few for up to 50% off, and the selection is quite big! The customer service is also always good, never had a negative experience there and workers frequently check in to make sure you're finding what you're looking for, especially if you're like me and take hours picking out your next book or journal to write in. Would recommend 100 times over!

I stopped in to The Book Rack today and decided to have a light snack at the Cafe inside…read more I chose the Mushroom and Olive flatbread and Autumn Heat tea. The flatbread was nice and crispy with a good flavor for something pre-made and just needed to be heated. But the highlight of my visit was the Autumn Heat tea. The "Heat" refers to the spice level (one of the ingredients is Hot Honey), you can choose for it to be served hot or cold. I chose to have it served hot. I really enjoy spicy food and drinks. This tea was very spicy! If you enjoy spicy foods you should give this one a try. Otherwise, I recommend you pass on this one! As normal, the staff are very friendly, knowledgeable about what they sell, and polite. Always a pleasure to shop at The Book Rack.

I was traveling through this interesting area and found myself on this street lined with boutique…read moreshops! It was a lovely spot on a sunny winter day, so I got out and scanned the offerings. This bookstore jumped out at me, and I knew I needed to take a look. Having a very young niece, I'm constantly on the hunt for books to enrich her developing mind. I hit the jackpot with this place! The owner has a wonderful spirit and is exceptionally helpful in showing a new customer around. I love a small business with passion for its offerings, it's critical for the atmosphere to be just right. You can feel the passion in this space. Having done a lot of my shopping online over the last few years, I don't often venture into shops. But this one pulled me in and rewarded me with a bounty of books for my darling girl, and I'll be taking trips to this area, specifically with the store in mind! I didn't have any thought to look at adult offerings but I'll make sure to do that on future visits. Right now it's all auntie brain all the time! Come in with an open heart and on the hunt for literary treasures. There are new books and used books to choose from! It's so fabulous and truly magical.

There's always a wide variety of interesting new and used books to find here! They have some books…read morespecific to Whidbey Island and its history. There's a nice section of children's books as well. I also really appreciate the reading area in the back with seating and a few toys that help keep the kiddos entertained while you shop. It's a great little shop in downtown Oak Harbor!
