When my mother-in-law passed away, we called them around 10:30 PM. They showed up promptly to collect her body, and from the very first moment, they were remarkably soft-spoken and completely respectful. Before even discussing payment or paperwork, they gently asked if we needed more time with her--a gesture of pure human compassion that meant the world to us in that immediate blur of grief. Less than twelve hours later, my family and I were sitting in their office to make the arrangements. The staff welcomed us with genuine warmth and understanding. They walked us through everything thoroughly, clearly separating what they would handle from what we needed to take care of so nothing fell through the cracks. Over the days leading up to the services, we stayed in constant contact. What stood out was that we weren't just dealing with a rotating staff; we were in touch with the owners themselves, who checked in regularly. Every single person involved combined to deliver top-notch service to our dearly departed. Even after the services concluded, they stayed in touch with us to help tie up any loose ends. The respect and dignity they showed my family from late-night pickup to final closure was unmatched.

Her captor was her next of kin, that intentionally withheld news of her passing from all who loved her. When I learned of her death through legal channels, I reached out to this funeral home to find out if and where she was buried. They refused to provide any information because the "responsible party" said not to give me any information. The man I spoke with used vague non-quantitative descriptors and went so far as to say it was against the law to provide information if the "responsible party" said no. He was unable to specify what part of the civil code would be violated. Two elder law attorneys are also unfamiliar with this law. The funeral home was provided with legal documentatiom indicating I was Executor of my mom's estate and still refused to provide any information because the "responsible party" said not to provide me any information. I find their behavior and practices to me, my mom, and our family unconscionable. Yes, the "responsible party" can be a challenging individual but they have chosen to compromise their ethics to avoid a tongue lashing from an individual. My probate attorney said he had NEVER seen a funeral home fail to cooperate with the family, especially when legal documentaion was provided. Aside from the "responsible party", DeWitt-Martinez has traumatized my family and continues to do so. All conversations were recorded on dashcam so there is a record of what Stacey and Christopher said. They were pleasant as they denied me the information to which I was legally entitled. Just disgusting, unethical behavior. Luckily, I have no need to have dealings with this facility again. I pray for anyone else that uses them.

After all the ugliness of my uncles illness and feeling like I was thrown to the wolves at the hospital, to say that I was overwhelmed with the events that took place over the past few weeks would be an understatement. My thoughts were scattered and I was emotionally numb. I called Flynn funeral home at a most unorthodox hour and was stunned when Tommy Flynn answered the phone. Stunned. He was kind and patient and addressed my fumbling, babbling questions and requests and made me feel understood and most of all, like I was not sounding slightly insane. It turns out that Tommy has an excellent working relationship with the hospital where my uncle died and was able to expedite the process of having my uncle cremated remains and even the death certificates available in less than 72 hours. Tommy was more than professional and respectful, he was humble and so kind. So kind. I can't emphasize that enough. He didn't try to upsell me and he explained everything very well. I am so thankful for receiving the best service for my uncle and also for meeting Tommy. Goodness knows the number of broken hearts he must have seen over the years yet he was still so gentle. It meant the world to me.

It was the second month of the pandemic- April of 2020. I had previously made several calls to different funeral homes asking for my father to be picked up from the hospital and buried. No one was offering this service. It was all about cremation at this time, due to the pandemic. I found John Crawford who was a lifesaver during such a terrible time. He was able to bury my father who had died from covid, which was my fathers ultimate dying wish. John came through for me when no one else did, and he didn't ask me for a dime upfront. He told me not to worry about it, and he trusted me and in this day and age its so difficult for anyone to have trust.
