I was first introduced to Flynn Funeral Home a couple of years ago when one of my oldest friend loss his father. I was impressed by the professional staff, the facilities and the attention to detail. My friends fathers wake and service was one of the most touching and memorable I have ever attended. Fast forward two years; my family is going through the worse possible situation, our mother is battling stage 4 cancer and the end is near. My thoughts were consumed by one thing... I need to create a beautiful tribute worthy of the matriarch of our family - a woman who had touched and influenced so many lives during her time with us. The Entire team at Flynn Funeral deserves way more then 5 Stars!! This review is long overdue as the past few months have been a whirlwind. It is hard to find the right words to express my deepest gratitude to Tommy Flynn and his staff for the care and support they all provided myself and my family during the extremely devastating and unexpected loss of my younger brother in November. They also provided the same exceptional service to my family when my dad passed away in 2013. There is no one else we would trust like Tommy and his staff. From the minute we first met to this very day they have been our rock. There is absolutely no way we could have managed such tragic times without their knowledge and compassion. They were there to help and guide us in every which way. From pictures, videos, picking music, to the most meaningful and beautiful private viewing the night before the service. They were available any time we needed them. Not only did they help us plan a beautiful service but they were there to share advice on how to navigate our broken hearts in such a dark time. Tommy gave the most incredible speech during the celebration of life that moved everyone is ways we will never ever forget. Yesterday, we celebrated the life of my mother-in-law, only 4 years after her husband passed. My family entrusted Tommy Flynn with the arrangements for both, and I can't imagine using anyone else. The process was made so easy for us, leaving no detail ignored when making sure that our parent's lives were rightfully acknowledged. There is a certain peace that comes from hiring a true professional. From the video montages featuring photographs carefully collected and scanned, to the scrutiny of the flowers (nothing could be delivered in advance - only the freshest flowers would do), and the display of memorials made by our child, we were free to accept the condolences of our parents' friends and loved ones because we knew Tommy had it all under control. Tommy and Marina met with us and gave us a list of things to prepare, then followed up to make sure we were able to get them done. They emailed and called to check in and see if we needed any psychological or spiritual guidance, and followed up after the services to ensure we received all the keepsakes. We are grateful for the service offered to us by Tommy, Marina, Jimmy and the entire staff at Flynn. *Joshua L, I can only guess that the people you were speaking of were guests of that wake, because I can't believe any member of the Flynn staff would act unprofessionally. My daddy past away last year. It has taken me almost a year to write this review. And please forgive me for not doing it sooner but the grieving process is quite difficult when you lose a parent. Last year in August 2, I received the sad news that my Daddy passed away. I had visited several funeral homes prior but only this funeral made me feel like my families loss was there own. When Daddy passed away I called Tommy and he started to make arrangements. Tommy was about to go on vacation and made sure that everything fell in place. From getting my daddy, to allowing us to just have a separate alone time for just wife, children and grandchildren, getting church services, and burial. All the arrangements were done in such a professional manner. Tommy and staff guided us through everything. His attention to our family made us feel as our loss was his as well. I just want to thank the Flynn Funeral home for all they have done for me and my family. I have known them for over 30 yrs and they helped me so much in the worst of times in my life, they are the Best at making you feel at home and peace in my time of need. When your mother and father both pass within half a year of each other, it takes a particular type of funeral home to help you navigate such tough waters in such a short time. Flynn Funeral Center in Monroe, NY helped us through this difficult period with grace and consideration. With no playbook before us to serve as reference, we relied on Flynn's to help us make the correct decisions. We never felt pressured into any options, or felt as if we were being upsold on a particular option. If we had any questions, we received answers, and in particular the team at Flynn Funeral were especially good with our two young children. Instead of being the most traumatic time of their young lives, our kids can instead remember this as a time where they were able to peacefully say goodbye to their grandma and grandpa in their own way. Yesterday I stopped by the Flynn Funeral home to have the cremation remains of my two brothers prepared for me, to bring on an overseas trip to Ireland. Thomas Flynn, is a great guy who is always looking out for the well being of others and will always go the extra mile. However , yesterday I had the privilege of dealing with his son Brendan, who is following closely in his father's footsteps. While I was there, Brendan treated me with the utmost dignity and respect. . Brendan recently started his Residency Program at Flynn's and I would like to wish him all the best. I don't believe you choose this profession, this profession chooses you and I can see why. So picking a funeral home isn't easy. I went off of recommendations. My dad being a veteran, the VA is the first place we called. We knew he was going to be buried in the veterans cemetery. I googled a couple of local places but i asked someone at VA do they have any names they could give in my area. She gave me about 3 and talked well about all. But when she said Flynn was personable she was right. We were comfortable from the very beginning. They listen to our wishes and helped us deal with something that we have never dealt with before. Our service was special and everyone said that my dad looked nice and it was well done. Tommy was great!! His son was very helpful. The other staff was delightful. Dave was so nice to my 11 yr old son in his time of sorrow talking to him about his favorite sport lacrosse. They seem to be good people who have a tough job when people are at their most vulnerable but don"t take advantage of that. read more

Tommy and his staff at Flynn FH, Thomas Francis Flynn have always been professional and detail oriented. ..for over the many years of seeing their caring for other families, I knew that when it was time for us to pre-arrange my mom's plans due to her Alzheimers, this was where we turned. As much as I thought I knew about caring, Tommy cared for our mom, as his own mom. From the first 3am call, to the last handshake, he ensured that Mom was the focus, and that we celebrate her life, and her unconditional love. My father passed away at the end of January and from minute I called Tommy and his staff did everything to make this incredibly difficult time much easier! They were there for my family the next day and every day after that until we buried my father!! They made the process easy and thought of everything to make the hard loss a little bit nicer and easier!! At one of the worst times of my life, when my father passed away in June 2001, my family turned to Flynn Funeral Homes for their services. I especially remember how well Tommy looked after my mother, making sure she had a seat, or a tissue, o.j. or water whenever she needed. Death is sad and awful. It's never easy. And when it's close family members who leave us, it's even more difficult. Tommy Flynn and the rest of the people at Flynn Funeral made it less painful with their incredible and warm sincerity. Sadly, I lost my uncle a few days ago. Tommy and co. treated my uncle and all our family with outstanding warmth and love. 11 years ago, my mother in law passed away and Flynn was there for us then, too. It is never easy saying good bye to a loved one but when you have the assistance from an excellent funeral director like Brendan Flynn, it certainly makes a very difficult time a bit easier to navigate. I recently attended the memorial service of my brother-in-law and was with my sister when she made the arrangements for her husband. Brendan Flynn was amazing!
