I've also had several concerning experiences, including a doctor not reviewing my chart before discussing my previous LEEP procedure, another recommending aspirin despite my documented allergy, and a rushed Pap smear with a NP that resulted in heavy spotting and discomfort. Overall, my pregnancy experience has been disappointing. I feel they could provide better continuity by assigning patients to one or two doctors rather than having them see everyone in the practice. This was something I was putting off for 2 years due to it not being urgent and fear of having surgery but Dr. Frederick explained the procedure in detail and answered all of my questions which made me feel comfortable compared to the other 2 doctors I met with prior. I had a wonderful first time surgery experience with Dr. Frederick and the rest of my care team from North Fulton Outpatient Surgery center. I knew I was in good hands with Dr. Frederick and that he would take good care of me and he did just that. My husband & sister were very impressed with Dr. Frederick as well as he took the time to explain the procedure to them the day of and answered all of their questions. He also called my husband immediately after the surgery to give him an update on how everything went which my husband very much appreciated as he was worried himself in the waiting room. Over the past 2 months I have recommended two of my coworkers to this practice for regular GYN care and first time OB care and they both had great experiences with the nurse practitioners that they saw. One of my coworkers even recommended her sister who came back with great reviews as well. Dr. Frederick hires the best doctors, midwives & nurse practitioners so whoever you see here you will be in good hands. I highly recommend Dr. Frederick and his team for any and all OB-GYN services that you may need. What happened during my care left a lasting impact on me as a first-time mother, and it is something I would want any expecting patient to know before choosing their provider. During my pregnancy, I was routed to Emory Johns Creek Hospital due to unexplained bleeding at 36 weeks. While the hospital itself had its own issues, my interactions with Dr. Frederick were what ultimately left me feeling unseen, unsupported, and dismissed during one of the most vulnerable moments of my life. When I called the office crying because a high-risk doctor at the hospital informed me, without any discussion or consent, that a C-section had already been scheduled for me, Dr. Frederick eventually came to speak with me. Instead of reassurance or guidance, he told me that he "had somewhere to be." That statement set the tone for the rest of my labor and delivery. During labor, I was offered an epidural repeatedly after declining several times, which made me feel pressured rather than supported. When it was time to push, Dr. Frederick stood several feet back, leaning against the wall, checking his watch far more than he checked on me. There was no coaching, no encouragement, and no genuine presence. It felt like I was an inconvenience and he was simply waiting for the clock to run out. What made the situation worse is that I later found out someone from the practice had documented that they spent 30 to 45 minutes speaking with me, something that never happened. As a patient, it is incredibly unsettling to discover that documentation in your medical record does not reflect reality. I understand now, with more birth experience and medical training behind me, that birth can be unpredictable and complicated, and that outcomes vary. But what I experienced with Dr. Frederick was not a matter of medical unpredictability. It was a matter of care that felt cold, inattentive, and disengaged. During labor and delivery, a patient needs advocacy, communication, and compassion, and in my experience, those things were not present. As a healthcare provider today, I know how deeply vulnerable pregnancy and birth can be, and how crucial it is for patients to feel safe, heard, and supported. I would not recommend Dr. Frederick to anyone seeking that level of care during such an important time. I sincerely hope his patient care has changed since 2021, but based on my own experience, I cannot in good faith recommend him as a provider.

An absolute nightmare of an experience. I have been to several doctors in the past few years…read morebattling and on going health issue and I have never, ever, had such a horrible and negative experience with a PCP as I had with Dr. Musunuru. I moved states so I went in trying to establish care and communicate my on going issues since I can no longer be seen by my previous specialists. Within minutes of being seen, she was immediately very rude to me and dismissive of all of my concerns, (the ones I could even get out before she interrupted me.) Red flag number one. I was very confused as I was a first time patient and I had never met her before and she had no idea the reason of my visit. She constantly interrupted me when I was trying to communicate my feelings and my concerns to her throughout my entire visit. It was a constant battle to get a word in and even when I did, I was inevitably interrupted. Once I finally stood up for myself and finally got to finish my list of concerns I had, she dismissed almost everything once again. Stating "it's all mental" and another time stating that maybe the reason I've had to go to so many doctors was because I "was the problem." She made other comments as well that I can't write here publicly due to my privacy. The whole appointment just felt like one giant argument for no reason. I left crying my eyes out from frustration and called my husband to tell him my experience. I basically paid my copay be belittled and left at square one. I will have to now go somewhere else, pay another copay and start all over. This is all my own personal experience I had, so make your own choices. But I strongly advise others to avoid this practice. I have never felt so unsafe and awful leaving a doctors office.

I called Dr. Freeman's office in February to schedule an appointment as my GYN had retired and I…read morewas having severe pain in my lower pelvis region. I thought perhaps I had a prolapse. The soonest I could be seen as a "new patient" was April 1st (despite having a medical issue). April 1st came around and due to the Covid19 pandemic and my weakened immune system (I have several autoimmune diseases) I felt it best to not risk leaving my home. I canceled (despite my severe pain) and the next soonest appointment available for a "new patient" was in June. The pain became so unbearable that I called back towards the end of April and begged to be seen sooner than June. Apparently, he had a cancellation and I could be seen in three days. I went to my appointment and initially was very pleased with Dr. Freeman. When he entered the room he first sat down and asked me personal questions about my childhood, life etc. That I thought was very nice and unique as I've not had a doctor want to get to know me as a person first and patient second. I explained my pain issues with him and that I thought it could be a prolapse. I hadn't been to see my last GYN in several years, so I was due a complete checkup. He did a Pap test, breast exam and an ultrasound. I have to say that despite breast cancer running in my family, myself already having a mass removed, having had several needle biopsies done and having a marker in one breast his exam was the quickest I've ever in my life. I don't feel that he really took the time to feel or look for any lumps or irregularities. After my pelvic exam and ultrasound he said he believed I was experiencing nerve pain. That my brain signals were misfiring. I suffer from Fibromyalgia although I've never experienced this type of pain. He prescribed Gabapinten which is commonly used for nerve pain. Because it's been so long since I've seen a doctor I asked if he would be drawing blood? His response was "what for.. what would I be looking for?". It didn't hit me until I left but I would think a complete panel checking my white and red cell levels, platelet levels, cholesterol levels, thyroid etc. could've been helpful. I started the meds he prescribed and after a week I was still in excruciating pain so I called back. Tammy his receptionist who I also initially liked took a message. She called me back later that day and said to take the medication as he prescribed and to give it 4-6 weeks. I continued on in severe pain and after being on the full dosage for a month with absolutely no relief I called the office back. I told Tammy that I couldn't continue on with this pain and that I either needed Dr. Freeman to order some tests to see if there's something else going on or to prescribe me a different type of nerve pain medication. I also emailed her that day several radiology reports on previous abdominal cat scans that had been done where it was noted that I have Congested Pelvic Syndrome. I asked her to see if that could possibly be contributing to my pain. That was a Wednesday and Tammy said she'd put that with my file and have it available for Dr. Freeman when he came in on Thursday. I was hopeful that I'd hear back from either Dr. Freeman or Tammy on Thursday, but NO. I didn't get a call. Friday morning I called back and told Tammy how disappointed I was that no one called me and that if Dr. Freeman wasn't concerned about my pain and doesn't want to help me that if he could refer me on to someone that was fine. She assured me that while he has three patients in the hospital she would again make sure he saw my file and that hopefully he would call me and if he didn't she would try to call me by the end of the day before she left. I explained to her again how severe and what type of pain this is (imagine what it must feel like to be viciously raped in every place imaginable, having a feeling of vibrations, throbbing, probing, pinching, in changing directions for 24/7 without even 1 second of relief) and that I really can't take it much longer. That if I can't get help I'm seriously close to getting in my car and driving it into a tree. Did I get a call back on Friday from Dr. Freeman or Tammy? NO... if not for the pandemic there have been several times I would've gone to the ER. How a doctor can allow a patient to suffer like this is inexcusable. I don't think Dr. Freeman is that busy that he can't call in a different nerve pain medication, answer a question or tell me to go to a different doctor. It's apparent that he just doesn't care about his patient. If someone told me that cutting off a finger would make this pain stop .. I promise you I'd do it in a second. If I drive my car into a tree... Dr. Freeman's lack of concern or compassion to my suffering for months now will be to blame. I wouldn't wish this pain on my worst enemy. Needless to say, I'm now looking for a doctor who can and will help me before I do drive my car into a tree. If you want a doctor who cares about you.. go somewhere else.

Short story: they tried to steal $990 from me, the manager hung up on me when I was fighting it…read more When I spoke to Dr. Whitmore she admitted that I never owed the $990 but blamed it on me and never once showed remorse. Please let this be a lesson to patients to advocate for themselves and always understand their bill and insurance benefits. Long story: I was initially told the total amount billed to insurance was $3300, and I owed $2000 for my deductible and nothing else. That's fine, I understood. Received a second call today stating that I also had a 30% coinsurance so I would also owe an additional $990. They said both the deductible and coinsurance applied at the same time. That is categorically false, and any simple web search will show you that you pay your coinsurance AFTER you meet your deductible. After putting down $2000 towards my bill, the leftover is $1300, and coinsurance is 30% of that amount (only $390). I was explaining this to the manager, who was so rude, said I did not understand, and hung up on me. I proceeded to call my insurance to verify that I was correct, and they said that yes I was correct, but actually I don't even have a coinsurance. So my insurance, myself, and Dr. Whitmore went on a three way call. Dr. Whitmore said "patients don't understand insurance" in a condescending manner, and said that they only planned to charge me $2000. She said that upon verification a second time they saw I never had a coinsurance, but that I never let them explain that to me. I said that they never explained it to me because the manager hung up on me. She tried to justify this by saying I was accusing them of illegal activities. I never said that, but sounds like a guilty conscience to me. Trying to charge an extra $990 with no justification IS illegal. Even if I had a coinsurance it would have never been that amount. Dr. Whitmore showed no remorse, no apology, nothing, so the call ended pretty shortly after. I canceled my appointment immediately.
