Further, his entire staff looks very professional, as does his office--and that's an understatement. Every room in Dr. Roth's office is calming and is therapeutic in itself. After checking in using an awesome high-tech system, I met with Dr. Roth and he asked me about my injuries and any discomfort. He was very thorough and kind during the initial consultation. To be honest, I was expecting him to rush through the process and get me out of there as soon as possible; however, contrarily, he spent a lot of time with me to ensure every symptom was noted. Immediately after the consult, he set me up for a few treatments. Most other chiropractors (that I've personally visited) will only talk to you on the first day, but Dr. Roth made sure I would feel better after the first session. He was concise and clear about his treatment plans and made me feel at ease about getting chiropractic care. I waited, at most, one minute before a massage therapist walked into the room and worked on my spasms in my upper back. I was surprised as to how patient she was in dealing with my muscle spasms; she made sure to relieve the pain I was experiencing from the spasms. I could tell from previous experiences with massage therapy that she was highly skilled and experienced. What sealed the deal was that she was so kind and sincere. In sum, everyone that works at Williamsburg Neck and Back Center is the kind, sincere, and patient. I never feel rushed. Dr. Roth and his team take their time with my treatments. Lastly, no matter how busy this place gets, someone is always checking in on you and making sure you feel comfortable. I love this place. I will continue praising this office and its staff. UPDATE: After posting this review, I received a formal termination letter from the clinic dated March 27 (received March 30) stating that the practice would no longer provide chiropractic or massage therapy services "effective immediately." When I returned on March 13 for a scheduled appointment expecting care, I was told in person by the doctor that my treatment would not continue. The doctor, when informing me that care would not continue despite our prior conversation on March 5 about a plan to continue treatment, asked whether I wanted referrals or information on other providers. This was a general question asked at that time and was not accompanied by any specific referral information or advance transition planning prior to the visit. The termination letter was issued weeks after these events and states that the decision followed prior interactions and references efforts to "de-escalate." On March 5, however, I left the appointment after the doctor acknowledged that the situation may not have been handled well and discussed a plan for continuing care. When I returned expecting that care on March 13, I was instead informed that treatment had been discontinued without prior notice. Based on this experience, the practice's handling of this situation raises serious concerns about its integrity, professionalism, and basic respect for patients. read more

Yesterday was my first time getting a massage done at a chiropractor and by far it's the best massage I have ever received in my life. I'm going to be vulnerable here and admit that after I had my massage done, I cried for a good 10 minutes, happy tears that is. Riley ma'am, you are God sent. I dont know you to say this, but I believe your calling in life is to do what you did today. The way you listened to my body and its needs, helped me release years of built up tensions and tightness. At the end of the massage I uncontrollably felt a rush of emotions because of how light I felt after so many years. For years i have felt like I carried a child on my shoulders, but today you allowed me to take a break and put that weight down. Now, to Dr.Roth thank you so much for ending the day with the perfect adjustment. It was most definitely the icing on the cake for sure. I had extreme lower back pain for over a week and decided to go here. I didn't know if I pulled a muscle, pinched a nerve, etc. The woman who helped me was nice and did great, and the Dr. Roth adjusted me and in the long run it helped my pain a lot. However, he did not tell me what was wrong, what he found, or any other info. When he was done he basically said see you Thursday and tried to leave and I asked him, well what should I not do? What can I do? Can I be active or go to the gym? He said I can do light activity and basically walked away. So all in all, they did great to help my pain, but were not informative or helpful in how to manage myself at home and what could have caused it in the first place. read more

Dr. Roth and his staff were great! I came into the office with a slew of back problems and the doctor listened attentively and was invested in helping me resolve my issue. He listened to my questions and concerns and gave me the time a patient deserves while he asked the right questions and gave his professional opinion. I did not feel like a number or that I was being rushed in and out. After utilizing the massage table and electric pulse therapy, we went through the first adjustments. The doctor thoroughly explained every step that he was doing and made sure that I was comfortable with everything. When I unconsciously resisted certain corrections, we found a technique that worked for both of us. Afterwards, he explained exactly what he thought was going on with my back and the treatment that he would like to do on follow up visits. The remainder of my visits went very smoothly, and they were very receptive to making appointments around my schedule. The paperless, modern office was a joy as it was easy to pay, get electronic receipts, and get automatic appointment reminders via email or text. Overall, I am pleased with the results and feel that the adjustments we made were a huge improvement on my back. I came to the office to try to do something about constant shoulder pain and limited movement. I can truthfully say I have not felt this well and comfortable in years! I would like to update my previous review. Dr. Roth assured me that my spinal x-ray looked great, although my back and leg pain had been steadily worsening for a few months, despite weekly chiropractic adjustments. A few hours after my last adjustment in May, the pain became very severe, shooting down my leg and causing a complex meniscus tear. MRI's revealed osteoarthritis and a pinched nerve at L4 and L5. It's taken months of osteopathic and physical therapy to recover from this incident. read more

My back and leg pain was uncontrollable to the point it left me in tears . I could not stand for any amount of time longer than 30 seconds without having to drop to the floor in agony to stretch out my leg and back . I searched google for best chiropractor in Williamsburg and Dr Roth was top of the list . I booked an appointment and dreaded the moment it came as I knew how much pain the car ride and very short walk from the car to the lift to the office was going to cause . The girls in the office were amazing . And took me straight through to a room where I could be more comfortable . After explaining how I ended up like this Dr Roth started treatment on my lower back . He talked and explained everything to me, adjusted the treatments after a few visits seeing how I was progressing and getting adjustments every visit . He decided to offer me the more aggressive treatment, a session on compression table . This , excuse the pun , this just clicked for me, after that got a great adjustment . I went from being able to stand for a minute to around 3-4 minutes . And every visit after that progress was came along in leaps and bounds, after 4-5 visits more I was pain free . I couldn't believe all that pain had gone . Dr Roth worked a miracle on my back in such a short time . And each visit he brought his sense of humor which was always welcome . The women that work there are very understanding and sympathetic , every visit was a great experience of customer care and attention . In hindsight, I should have called Dr. Roth immediately. In the future, I will. My back felt sensitive and uncomfortable a day after a workout with weights. Two days later the pain forced me to the floor. Following an emergency visit to the hospital and a recommendation to consider physical therapy, I contacted Dr. Roth. I visited Dr. Roth two days a week over a month's time. Each week my strength and sense of well being increased. A truly phenomenal practice! I came to see Dr. Roth after exhausting all other options for alleviating pain I had due to multiple herniated discs in my cervical, pain which was particularly pronounced due to one fully sequestered disc. I came to understand the condition of my cervical discs after meeting with a neurologist to diagnose intermittent muscle twitching that was occurring in my triceps and pectoral region, which was accompanied by severe neck pain. My neurologist ordered an MRI, which ultimately led my neurologist and her team to label my case a medical emergency. My neurologist called for immediate surgery, which entailed fusing multiple discs together with a rod. At the time I was in an incredible amount of pain and therefore was an inch away from moving forward for the invasive medical procedure, for nothing else was working; not yoga, a change in lifestyle as it relates to the intensity of exercising that most likely caused my injury, supplementation of glucosamine, nor working with any other chiropractor, and believe me when I say I tried quite a few. Dr. Roth absolutely fixed me! I feel zero pain and my twitching is completely gone. Did I notice immediate results? Yes, but the ultimate feeling of alleviation came after a few sessions, which is exactly what Dr. Roth had predicted after our initial meeting. Dr. Roth is an incredibly conscientious chiropractor. He is knowledgable and very good at what he does. His office is full service with sports med and massage as well as chiropractic medicine. I went in with what i thought was muscle pain, but it turned out to be a stuck rib...i didnt even know those could get stuck! I had my first visit today with Dr. Roth after experiencing pain for months, from what turned out to be a back rib that is out of alignment. I read many reviews online and did my due diligence before scheduling an appointment to see him. When I called to schedule, the receptionist was not friendly, however I did not let that color my opinion of what to anticipate. The day of the appointment arrived, I showed up and was taken aback at the blatant downright unfriendliness of Kat, the receptionist. If you are expecting a friendly smile and a welcome the office from her, you can forget it. She will hand you the forms to fill out, correct you if there is something missing, then quickly goes through the process of how to digitally sign in. I was starting to think I had made a big mistake ! Thankfully, the treatment staff was very friendly, smiling and very warm. Dr. Roth was fantastic and explained what the problem was, the anticipated treatment protocol, and then got to work trying to fix the issue. I can not say enough nice things about him and the treatment staff. They are the reason I will go back. At checkout, Kat barely even acknowledges that you are there other than to asks for your credit card , doesn't even tell you what your total is, or ask HOW you would like to pay. I had a question about a plan I had paid for, and very politely asked her if she could explain it to me. Her tart response was , "The information is in the paperwork and you will find everything in there". I said in an apologetic way, "Oh, okay, sorry to have bothered you" . Nothing from her whatsoever, not even eye contact. It is truly astounding to me, that such a wonderful doctor would have someone like that greeting his patients and answering the phones, much less putting up with her rude attitude towards patients. If it wasn't for my confidence in Dr. Roth, I would not go back. Kat not only acts like she does not like her job, but takes it out on you, the paying patient in her telephone manner, and in her attitude and behavior when you show up at the office. I do want to stress how nice the treatment staff is, and how very good and friendly and professional Dr. Roth is.
