Avoid this place. First, the prices are astronomical and almost insulting. It's like they don't want people to visit. Second, tiny orchard that is quickly picked over. Stay away!!! Horrible, never again!!! I'd love to get my money back. I actually feel very stupid for paying $69 for 23 pounds of apples. A bigger bucket of almost 40 lb cost $25 at the farmers market in Mississauga!!! There's nothing to do at this stupid farm expect picking apples or pumpkin. No rides (even though there's a big sign for hay rides) So you pick your own apples then pay triple the price of the super market and 5-6 times the price of the farmers market. To be honest they're good apples but not at all better than the farmers market! Never again! Very badly run and will be out of business very soon for sure! P.s. The kids saw a dead rat (No big deal in a farm I guess) but they were so disgusted by it so they couldn't eat apples! Not that they were even allowed to eat any apples while picking! Had an okay time but probably wouldn't go again. $3 per lb is crazy when other small farms have 1.50 per lb. And $10 for pumpkins is just crazy when I can get them elsewhere (also small farms) for $5. I also didn't like that everyone (including my infant) had to pick 2lbs of apples, what if I was just going to hangout with other people and didnt' actually want any apples. Let me start off with the good things. Great little farm. Lots of selection. The apples are well maintained. The pumpkin patch is easy to walk around in to grab a favourite gourd. The bad stuff. $3 per lb of apples!!! That's a crazy price. But they advertise that from the beginning. They also force each person must pick a minimum of 2lb each or pay $6. Either way it's $6. The price is the same for kids (even my 7 week old). Watch out for the irrigation system. It sits ontop of the ground (even in walking areas). My nephew tripped on it and got a nasty goose egg on his head. The hay ride is very strict. You must pay for all the goods before you ride as once you pay you then have tickets to use so that you can ride the tractor. The ride itself was 2.5 minutes long (the property is small). The kids essentially want to ride again and again. Which is not allowed cause there are only enough tickets for one ride. The pumpkin patch is all fenced off which makes the ambiance kind of cold when mixed with all the other rules. Overall it's a nice little place. But at this price come for the minimum and then buy the bushels of apples from Al Ferris and Sons not far away read more

DOES NOT DESERVE ANY PATRONS..HERE'S WHY..TRUE STORY Me together with my pregnant wife and 1 year old baby have visited this farm twice. One day just before heading out to pay for our picked apples, I decided to pull out the camera and take a picture of my family. The owner approached us angrily and accused us of using his farm as a park and not buying any fruits. He wants me and my family to leave my farm! After showing the fruits that we are about to pay, he even demanded us to buy more fruits after being rude to us. This owner had the nerve to tell us that if we want to take some pictures go to the park we sell fruits in this place. We had a camera and so did other patrons that come with their kids and families. We did not deserve to be treated like crap. The staff are nice people but because my encounter with the owner, I will never in my life support this farm. Springridge Farms or Chudleigh's would be the better choice if you are in Milton, Ontario read more

After going to their farm and thinking me and my family would get some fruit from there, the people in the fruit farm were first looking at us in disgust and disbelief as to what we were doing there. One of them approached us and asked us "why are we here" we replied we want to buy some fruit which is why we came to your farm. They told us we should go shop for some apples at Loblaws instead of their farm in a rude tone and told us we cannot go in their farm where they were letting all the white people pass to get in the farm. I just want to let you know that my friends and I were really disappointed last Sunday with the way that person treated us rudely. He didn't want us to do apple-picking because he said we're a big group. He wanted us to leave the farm and he said he didn't want us there! We came to their farm with our kids hoping we would have a great time picking some apples, esp. for our new guests who just came here in Canada. What a way to treat their guests! Until now, I couldn't fathom why we were treated badly. They could have advised in their website that they cannot accommodate a lot of people. I even called them a lot of times for inquiry. Not sure about all the bad reviews. I've been here twice (once today and once two years ago). We've always had a great experience (and managed to eat an apple or two ... or three ... while picking). The staff are very friendly and are happy to answer all your questions (and with a three and a five year old, we have a lot of questions). Yes, the apples are more expensive than the grocery store. However you get varieties that the stores don't have and the apples are excellent (far better quality and taste than the grocery store). Willis doesn't charge an entry fee like some of the other farms do. Willis is a very low-key farm (unlike some of the other farms in the area that are more like attractions). We love it because the focus is on the picking. We've picked apples at a few places in the area, and this is only farm we have returned to. If we manage to eat our way through the 26 pounds of apples we picked we will be back again this season. read more

Do not go to this place!!! The owner is an absolute grump. Their apples are also way overpriced at 4$/pound. Despite that, we thought it would be fun to pick some apples with our two young kids. On check out, a small bucket of apples came out to 84$. We didn't mind paying it because we are supporting local farmers. However, upon leaving, the owner scolded us for having our two young kids sit in a wagon (that they were given permission to use by another staff member). Is this seriously what they think good customer service is?? Mind boggling! Not a kid friendly place at all!! I would suggest Springridge or Chudleigh's Apple Farm. What first struck me as odd was that you cannot eat apples as you pick, you have to pay first, and they're expensive $45 for a small bucket! Then as we are leaving, I'm alone packing up the kids into the car, struggling to put the stroller into the trunk, the owner comes yelling at me for taking too long to get off his property. He told me that my car (parked in the parking lot), was on the way of his $500k combine harvester which was working away a few meters from where we were on. I was absolutely shocked and didn't know how to react, so he went on yelling thinking that I didn't speak English. I've never been treated in such a way and I honestly don't know how this "family" farm is still on business. Very expensive! Thought I would support a local business today as I was needing apples for lunches. Totally shocked to pay $32 for 8 lbs of apples. Approximately 10 apples or $3 an apple???? Last week I picked up the same apples at the local farmers markets from Downey farms at $7 for 5lbs. I was in such shock I actually paid and left. As I drove home I was so upset to think young families who may not have the disposable income could not afford such outrageous prices even if they wanted to have fresh apple for their families. We took our kids here for the first time last year and loved it, we're going back again this fall. We prefer smaller, family-run farms and this is it. I'm not a fan of the large, amusement park style picking orchards with gifts shops, etc. Willis family fruit farm was perfect - friendly staff, not crowded, prices about the same as other orchards, lots of variety and quality apples, easy for us to pick with our kids and they even have a pumpkin patch if you want to pick one up at the same time. Took my five kids to Willis family fruit farm and will never go there again!!! Now, I have to say that most of the staff is super friendly, but the owner ruins it all. He came to us pointing at my 2 five years old boys and told me that i should keep them under control, otherwise they would destroy his trees. TERRIBLE place to bring your family. I went to Willis "family" fruit farm however I think this is not the appropriate name to call it. It is not a family place. I have never been so applauded and embarrassed. On September 28, my four children and I went to Willis farm like we do every year for the past 6 years, to pick apples. We were not there for but 5 mins when the owner Mr. Willis asked me and my four children to leave. I was in the line trying to taste a particular apple with one of my kids, I asked my 8 year old to pick out a wagon so we can begin our fun. Well Mr, Willis told me while I was in the line not but 5 minutes into our visit that my son couldn't get a wagon. The wagons which total about 15, are there for the public to take apple picking. I asked why since I was in line about to determine which apples we would pick. He told me very rudely that I had to leave. I said I have been coming here for the past 6 years and your asking me to leave because my child (who is 8) went to get a wagon. He said again "leave". I have on average spent $30 every time we have gone to this farm. I can't believe that a place that calls itself a Family farm is so intolerant and rude to children. Thank you Mr. Willis for tarnishing my children's memories of apple picking. I hope that no other families have to experience this level of rudeness. went apple-picking Sept 14/14. Gotta give them credit in that the first sign you see is one that touts how Willis' apple prices are HIGHER than those in the grocery stores. Yeah, I know, you pay them for the privilege of doing their work! It's all about the experience, right? The reason I give them a poor rating is that their prices are high, but mostly because they allow you to pick apples that aren't ready. ie the honeycrisp should not have been picked at that time. They were at least a week, if not two weeks early.. A pal of mine who goes elsewhere for Honeycrisp said "no to picking them mid-Sept" The apples were somewhat green on the inside and had a sour tinge to them. Additionally, the place is somewhat lacking in character vis-a-vis other apple orchards. That's my two cents....about all I had left to my name after paying them at checkout... read more

This is a local family owned farm, and so I want to support them, but I just can't do it anymore. These people are rude and the whole experience year after year seems to be more of a money grab, than an opportunity for kids to enjoy local produce and a great experience outdoor. The owner "greeted" us on the way in and went on and on about how hard they've had it with the 2012 crop and that some of his colleagues might be going to commit suicide because its such a tough year. Really? In front of the children out for a nice afternoon, he's telling us about suicide. So we picked the few apples they had, paid about $40 for a small basket of small apples and then right before our turn for a tractor ride, they just arbitrarily closed the tractor ride, no notice and too bad for the kids still waiting for their turn. When we asked if he could just do one more ride around the field to accommodate the waiting children, the owner said, no too bad, don't come back next year. Well don't worry sir, we won't be back. This farm is a bad experience. I understand that the crop was poor this year, and that is not your fault, but your attitude is very rude and poor. This hasn't improved year after year. I will drive a little further next year, to a farm where the farmer actually wants people to be there. read more
